Coughing coughing COUGHING.

And I have a headache.

Goodnight.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

MelodyB

Been thinking more about this nameless Baby Ringo...

What about:

Eustace Clarence
Edmond
Peter
Jake
Finnigan
Ollie
Puddleglum ;)

(ok seriously? I really DO like Eustace and Edmond. Sounds strong and brave...)

Lizairaleen (not sure on spelling)
Avaris

And again, I really like those, not being funny. :great:

When I was like 11, I picked my children's names...number 1 girls name was gonna be Olivia Lee. But due to having an Olivia in my life now I have decided against that name. Not cause I don't like it, because I love it still, but because there is only ONE Olivia. IMHO.

I would tell you the boy name that's my number 1, but I am afraid you would love it and I would decide not to use it later if you used it. Lol Stupid really, since I likely won't see your child till we all get to Heaven anyway. But that's me. You can't steal my perfect name!

BTW...I feel much much better so far this morning! And I was sleeping really well till I had to potty. :flush:

So I'm gonna lay back down now and see if I can catch a little while longer of that GOOD sleep.

I had a funny thought the other day:  God never condoned a woman having multiple husbands so there can't be a trinity!!  Hahahaha  😄
How would that work out anyway?  Would Jesus be the groom?  God the Father would be the father of the bride... but also the father of the groom.  The Holy Spirit would be... the best man?  Great, now my head hurts...

Bentley... that was a great car.  Nothing quite like a Bentley.  Nouveaux riche go for the Rolls Royce, but there's just something about a Bentley.

Just deleted my Pinterest account and will be deleting my FB acct at the end of the day.  This morning was the last straw. I don't even get on Pinterest much anymore but went to look for something today, a CLEAN, benign that I had seen before and what comes up but full out porn pictures, with no longer an option to report as offensive or pornography.  What a clear message. All the recipes in the world are not worth it. My husband and son may not ever be on Pinterest but *I* refuse to let those images be ok to just pass by for the sake of recipes or crafts. Inherently, at the end of the day I will not compete with an abominable image or idea. That's what those images do to women, make them feel under par, unable to be that even bough we don't want to be anyway. It's a mockery of who we really are.

We deleted Andrew's FB days ago when going onto his personal page there's a giant add with a cartoon girl practically naked. I questioned if a boy or guy is unwavered because its not a more realistic picture?  If we were fooling ourselves that it's harmless because it's a cartoon?

Then this morning after being as Ruby refreshed a relevant word the other day, LIVID, I asked why would it be ok to delete Andrew's acct on such moral basis but continue to use ours?  If it's counter productive to have a lower standard for ourselves than our kids we are trying to raise right?  And also, that just because it tends to be more of a man's battle, does that make it ok for ME to think those images have no effect on my mind even if it's subtle and unconscienciously?

I am just put out. And shouldn't I be?  I feel an unsaid pressure that just because there are so many other apostolics not having the same feelings I am over it that I'm over reacting and thus wrong. But it shook me up this morning.

On another note: Anthony's funeral is today and Nathan is delivering the eulogy and being a p. bearer.

I'm tired of the world having such a grip on people. Anthony was on his way, he was tarting to come to church, he was learning about God. He was baptized. To my knowledge he didn't get the HG.  He had stopped drinking for a while and the time he slips, it takes his life.

Sin is no joke.

Um.... http://adblockplus.org/en/chrome for chrome.  And it will take all the ads off fb.

http://www.opendns.com/ for everything else.  (takes a little setup, but 1000x worth it)

And pintrest?  Um....well, I have no idea.

I haven't had any problems on Pintrest but I usually only look at the things that my friends have posted and don't search for stuff.

Also, if I see an offensive ad on Facebook, I mark it as offensive.  I haven't seen one in ages.
If it's one of my friends that's posting that stuff I either: hide it if it's not normal for them, hide them, or delete them from my friends list.

MsJennJenn

I rarely browse FB on the actual FB page. I usually do it on my phone - I don't see very many ads.
But I can't even remember the last time I saw something bad.

and Pinterest well - it's a compilation of stuff that billions of people like/look/love. Can't really get around it - but again, it's not like I see anything bad on there. Or if I do I just scroll past it. Doesn't mean I accept it, or that it doesn't bother me. But I see WORSE stuff in real life in my CVS/Pharmacy so I guess it just don't focus all my attention on getting angry over it. It's gonna happen either way.

Yep. That.

Pinterest only shows you what YOU have subscribed to. And granted, I've subscribed to a few recipe links and whatnot that ended up getting turned into garbage, and had to go UNsubscribe. But you DO have control over there.

I think it ends up being worse for people who don't use it often (apparently, like you and me) because we aren't keeping on top of it. And unfortunately, a lot of yucky people will post harmless things for a while in an attempt to get you to subscribe, and then will change what they are posting.

I've pretty much deleted every subscription except those of my good friends. And I haven't been having trouble for the last number of months.

I cleaned the bathroom. Wow. It was in need of a good cleaning. I have the rugs in the washer and I'm waiting on them to get done. Then I'll take a shower and start supper on the grill outside. We are having ribeye steaks, corn on the cob, and boiled red potatoes.

Yummyyyyy.

Jeremy, that worked! Thanks.

You have a point Ruby and my friend told me today that she has to be careful because Pinterest will automatically have her following someone from a pin she liked repinned.

When it comes to Pinterest the people I guess I'm subscribed to and know rarely post anything that catches my interest and often other people we have in common repin the same things so a lot of the time it's the same things pinned 12x each. A lot of smaller children stuff. Lol. I haven't developed a bunch of others to follow. So I will look through the main page or categories of humor, food, outdoor, DIY crafts, animals, etc.

I had went to refind a funny picture of a bad parking job and wham! I felt like I got the wind knocked outta me in all seriousness. Had there been an actual person that put that photo in my face I certainly would have broken their nose.

SippinTea

Yeah, unfortunately, you have to be really intentional with sites like Pinterest. I guess they assume you want to see the icky stuff unless you repeatedly tell them "no". Which is where I end up being rather boring on sites like that, because I limit everything so severely. Just people I either 1) personally know and know they won't post garbage, or 2) a blog author or someone similar that I will follow for a short while and SEE if anything yucky comes up. And I have almost no tolerance for things I disapprove of on Pinterest. One strike, they're out. *lol* Glad that adblock is working out for you with FB and whatnot! :great:

Kimber! How exciting! You WILL make sure to post pics, right? :bigcheese:

Congrats Kimber!

Thankfully Dottie volunteered to work for me today. I slept from 10 pm last night to 2 pm today. 2 days on my feet at work wore me out. I'm ready to be completely over this surgery.

Well, I was busy 1) driving Rusty 2) talking to people in far away lands, like Croatia, and 3) enjoying time offline with my wonderful wife and sweet little girl. Therefore I no post. :P
And Congrats Kimber!
Morning everyone else. Trying to decide what to do today. The belt I ordered last Sunday online for my lawnmower still hasn't came in, forcing me to live in the jungles, so I am unable to mow. It is a beautiful day, so I suspect Rusty, Chey and I shall putter around somewhere. May go over and help a fellow ham pour concrete for his 50' tower we are gonna put up...
