Ok no corn maze. We were making too good a headway at the house. We've gotten ALOT accomplished.

It's so dead around here today.

I got a lot accomplished today though.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

MsJennJenn

I've kinda had a brain dead day. A mind-fully quiet one. Other than going to school to meet with my History group, I've done nothing. I keep zoning out.

The Purple Fuzzy

My vacation is almost over.  I'm trying not to think about it. *sigh

Lynx

Howdy y'all.  I've been at the church.  Youth fundraiser, fish fry.

From the book of Isaac, chapter 7, verse 3:  Blessed are they who stay after church dinners and help clean up, for they shall reap leftovers.  :D  Got two small bags of the pastor's hushpuppies, a quarter of an almond joy cake and a big bag of fries for the dog (because nobody wanted reheated fries.)
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

We watched the Dollmaker tonight on YouTube. Jane Fonda, 1984. Classic movie.

Stinkin' commy Jane Fonda.....  :demand:

Went to church, had the Mondays, missionaries that have been in Panama and are going to Spain now, came home.

Yadda.

Melody

Well.  For the most part we are moved.  Now to scour the place we're in and scour the place we left.  And still clean the church.  Good grief.

I'm pretty sure a box is missing.  But!  at least it's not something dire like undergarments.

Our neighbor made us dinner.  She is so very kind.  Spaghetti, garlic bread, brownies.  And we had pizza for lunch.  It was absolutely ALL delicious.  I'm almost completely sick from it but hopefully it won't last days upon days.  That's a normal meal.  Everything had gluten in it.. lol

The Purple Fuzzy

Praying it won't bother you this time, MY.

Melody

Thank you so much PF.

God is good.  Friends helped us move and they were so excited for us.  It wasn't depressing at all to be downscaling.  Smaller place, one vehicle.  Surely we're going to get somewhere with all this effort.

SippinTea

It's so hard to stick to specific diet needs when moving and such. Especially when people are being so sweet and trying to help you out. Been there, done that. I'll join PF in praying God helps it be just what you need for now - or at least doesn't make you sick. ;)

Say a prayer for our church services tomorrow. The pastor and I are both very sick and the only other minister is working a 12-14 hour  shift in the ER tonight. Pray for healing and a move of God regardless of all this.

Went to church, came home, blah blah....

People are fighting on my FB status....  Somebody that's too holy for everything and can't find a church fit to go to because of it thinks I'm an awful person and him and somebody else are arguing about judging each other.

There are SO so so so SO many things I could say, but not a one of them will do me a lick of good....so I'm just letting them blab like raving loons.

Even though I'd like to shoot them all.

That guy doesn't have a sense of humor what.so.ever.

He must be kin to the nutcase  woman that attacked you on the fb minister  forum a while back. Idiots  like that make it hard to not lose your temper and prove their point. Seems if he was truly concerned he would contact you privately  and "in a spirit of meekness  restore such a one".....must've missed that verse, ya think?

Church was awesome this am. I have chili going to take to Brandon's for him, his dad and myself later. Working more on the house. I've set my move date to the first weekend of November. Given the issues with my family I'm moving out there with them. I know it'll make some people shake their heads but ive even discussed with my/our pastor and its what it is.

Yes, that's he and his precious wife.  lol

Sounds like from his status today that he's still wanting to start his own good, conservative church.  They are actually attending the only one around that they think is worthy now, the one that is sooooo far away.....   Or at last count that's what it appeared they were doing, who knows from day to day with them.  :P

Lynx

Take heart Seth.  If it weren't for facebook he'd be hanging around town putting you down.  Though FB is more easily accessible, it is being accessed mostly by people on the forum who, even if they did believe it, would be far away and irrelevant to what you are doing there in that town.

Short version:  Better to have venom where it doesn't matter much than to have a lot of poison in your own well.  :)

In local news, I had a perfectly good lesson planned for Children's Church.  Then the Sunday School teacher taught the same lesson this morning.  He couldn't have been reading my notes because I don't have anything written down yet, and what I do write down is just a few disjointed words to help me remember which topic comes next.  Fortunately the kids were not in the class, they were in their own classes having a (hopefully) entirely different lesson.

I am going to be planting tulip bulbs in the next few weeks.  That's about it.  Tulips are my favorite flower.

*goes to look at Seth's posts*  lol
