When Ruby is stuck in the mucks
she should go and help feed a duck
childhood innocence
found in an instance
helps her heart and her brain get unstuck.

Limmericks are much more fun than haiku. :P

The Purple Fuzzy

We had a limerick thread at one time...

"Going somewhere means leaving somewhere. Choosing something means choosing against other things. Gaining something means losing something else. And between the old and new--the 'was' and the 'not yet'--there exists only one thing: a very frightening journey called faith."

Wooby stuck in mucks,

Ducks and quacks help lighten tracks

Happy times again

Snow melts, heart stays froze,

Birds call, but no heart's response

Winter of the heart

had to google haiku... not something I've ever heard of... still dont get it... but thats ok... interesting

Yooper,

It's something that folk here on GP got me started doing a few years ago.

The form most of us practice is done in three lines--the first and the third have words that total five syllables, while the middle line totals seven.

Practice enough, and you can almost do haiku on demand.
---------------------
It's five syllables

Followed with seven in words

That end with five more
--------------------
The Hailku haiku! :)

That sure makes a lot more sense than all the stuff I got on it from Wiki... love Wiki, but talk about information overload...

Newsman

ja, I tried searching stuff when i started writing haiku.

Some point to haiku focusing on aspects of nature-such as the cherry blossom.

Some purists/snobs may quibble over the vowel length in English (longer) as opposed to that found in Japanese. I'm not sure if that's where/why some mention has been made of 3-5-3 syllable structure, rather than 5-7-5.

Anyway, enjoy!

Blue goo, but who knew

Not a Pink song, a question

So, did she dump you?

She's just not that into you

So get over it!

So, don't let it bother you

Go fishing, instead!
