Sheer chaos ensues

That's so cool, Ruby!  Caedon and I go feeding the seagulls sometimes, and he's absolutely hysterically adorable!!

He'll get the bread and say, "catch, bood" and then move his arm as if he's trying to throw the bread up in the air, but he doesn't let go soon enough, and it lands on the grass.  And then once they all land, he chases them until they start to fly away.  It's awesome!

Who accompanied you on your duck-feeding adventure?

Catch, bood!  Loooooook!  Eat b'ead!

'mon!  He[r]e bood.  'mon!  I feed bood.  :-)

'mere, bood!  Bye-bye bood!

Okay, I'm totally threadjacking the haiku thread, but it's way too cute not to tell. ;)

I met up with my good friend Aurora and her little 2 yr old daughter (Bethany) yesterday for coffee and a chat, but Aurora had also stuck a loaf of bread in the car "just in case". (There's a big park just a few blocks from where we were meeting.) So we're almost done with our coffee, and Bethany starts getting a tad impatient and saying "Le's GO mommy" and "Ah done". *lol* So we get to the park and she's completely enamored by the ducks, and when Aurora pulled out the bread, you should have seen the delighted smile on her little face! She starts tossing bread just a couple feet from her, and of course all the ducks come waddling up out of the water to eat. Bethany started giggling at all their goofy noises, and how they were pecking at each other when another duck displeased them by getting the bread first. Then - I'm still not exactly sure how it happened, but I think she just got all excited and accidentally threw half a piece of bread - there was suddenly utter chaos! Squawking, and pecking, and feathers flying and........ Bethany was laughing. That completely out of control, abandoned laughter that only toddlers get. And then she was jumping up and down on the sidewalk, with her hand up in the air to her mom to take another piece of bread, and yelling "Again, mama! AGAIN!" This time she threw the entire piece of bread at them, and..... *happy sigh* It was lovely. I love childish delight. Some thrills you can only have at age two, I guess. But I was able to sort of re-live it with her, and.... I really, really needed that yesterday.

Silly, I suppose, but it was my own hug from God. :)
