"Going somewhere means leaving somewhere. Choosing something means choosing against other things. Gaining something means losing something else. And between the old and new--the 'was' and the 'not yet'--there exists only one thing: a very frightening journey called faith."

Well.... the ultimate is sitting on the sand or rocks at the coast, and watching the big waves rolling in.

But when that's not possible, I suppose it would be reading--with a cup of tea in one hand. ;)

Does anybody like my new avatar?  My wife actually took the picture of that thing, but there were two like it at my job.
I just got this AT&T high-speed internet and my avatar disappeared, so I uploaded it again.

:o :o :o :o :o

Those poor kids, or things should I say

Miss Ruby,

Why am I still tired today? I had more sleep than I often do, maybe even six hours! I should be fine until tomorrow morning!

John  :waving:

SippinTea

Are you sure you want me to answer that? *smile*

Hey, don't feel too bad.... I had 9+ hrs of sleep last night  :o and I'm still tired, too.  :-\  Mental tired is ever so much harder to beat than physical tired, ya know? And when the two are combined? Eek!

:sing: I just wanna go hoooommmmeeee.....  :sing:

Hmmm.... I think I'm going to make a special point today to look for happy things, and things I can be thankful for. Watch out world! Here comes Pollyanna! ;)

Be happy that you get a phone call from across the country and they tell you they thought of you cause they saw a vespa. A pink one even. :)

SippinTea

I _am_ happy about that! :D Surprise phone calls are fun.... especially on 'free' days. And especially when they have to do with Vespas. ;)

Here's my happy list so far:
I'm happy that I have a goofy sticker on my shirt. (It's making me smile, even if no one else is smiling about it. LOL)
I'm happy that I have today off work.
I'm happy that I was able to have a mocha with Mama and the kids today.
I'm happy that I got to go for a walk.
I'm happy that it's gorgeous fall weather outside.
I'm happy that God is good.
I'm happy that He loves me.
I'm happy that I have hope again.

I'm just.... happy. :)

Last time I was in Tulsa (a weekend ago) I saw a vespa....poor thing was struggling to make it up the hill...
No Power at all, though of course the rider probably had a small amount to do with that..

MelodyB

The rider must not have been petite like Ruby, she would make a perfect Vespa rider.

:)

That she might....

:moped: Here I go! :D

Okay, seriously... wouldn't the ability to get up hills depend more on the size of the motor?

However, I'd look pretty funny on a big touring bike. LOL   *glares at Surf* No comments from the audience, please.  :bah:

Lady Ruby,

   What song is this from?

:sing: The fall and the springtime, were like in between times  :sing:

John  :waving:

Falling by LeBlanc and Carr (AND.... it was named on of Billboard's all time favorite Top 40 Hits)

You just had to do that, didn't you?     :pound:  :bah:  :frustrated:  :tearhair:

Now I'm gonna have to turn on something quite different from that, just to get the tune out of my head. Maybe something rock. Maybe Jeremy Camp.

*goes to find her JC CDs*
