Now, for that politically incorrect advice that can only come from the Grumpyest of the Grumpye, I offer you the opportunity to,...ask a Grump!

I begin with two thoughts that I had in the way of a line of greeting cards..I have little artristic drawing ability, but I would have called thenm "Bacehlor Forever, The Cards to Keep You Single Always!"

I offer two examples for your (dis)pleasure

1) Man looks at woman, and says.."honey, that's really Not your color."

2) Man has big bouquet of roses, black tie outfit on .. "see, honey, I remembered your birthday this year..Happy 40th!!!

:laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard:  err
:P :P :P :P :P

John, the Grumpyest of the Grumpye!

Grumpyest of the Grumpye (or otherwise),   *grin*

What would be a suitable consequence for a brother who continually calls his eldest sister Shorty?

What makes grumpy so grumpy?

Dear Grump,
My grandson is two years old now.  Does that make me old?

If he's doing it as a term of endearment, put some tobasco in his iced tea.

If he's just grumpy, he's acting the way he's supposed to!

Hmmppphhhh!!!!!

In the rural county I was born in, you can be a grandparent at 28. If that's the case with you, no, you're not old.

If you're more than 42 years and 8 months, yer gettin on up there!

Hmm, "more than a few," might be as close as I could get it..even Scott himself once said(wrote) of a particular Lady "why don't you just go ahead and ask her out?"

Of course, being the Grumpyest of the Grumpye, I didn't.

Well, I get cranky if I'm cooped up too long, and it would be a lengthy drive.. actually, I keep thinking I'm going to make a trip one of these Marches to an SCA war in Mississippi, and might combine the trip.

What made you decide to become a newsman?
What was your single greatest accomplishment so far, career-wise?
What's the furthest you've traveled from OK?

1. Didn't want to actually have to work? :) Hmm, OK..it seemed way back in the 80's that i just fell into working in radio..I'd done a little news, a little sports play-by-play, a little morning show DJ and other on-air DJing, a little late night talk radio show hosting, with other sundry broadcasting stuff thrown in.

Then, in 1994, I believe it was, I was hired back at a pair of radio stations I'd worked at before to be almost strictly a news director..been one now for two or more stations ever since (currently news and sports director at five stations.)

Although I'm no longer young (we've had that conversation before,) :) the Lord has blessed me with enough strength to still be able to go out and thump heads and take names in the racket, or, to be more likely close to correct, still often able to get out and get the news first, and handle the demands that this job places on me.

2) Any good thing in my life has come to me from God.

I was a Homeland Security Fellow in a National Press Foundation Program in Washington DC in 2004, one of 16 selected competitively from a national field.

Awards-wise, last year I was presented with an award for media excellence by an association of three state-related agencies..their top award--that they had never before awarded to a radio journalist.

Personal satisfaction-amongst the very tops would be the number of law enforcement officers who call me 'brother'-that cannot be bought.

3) Maryland-Pennsylvania
