I at least know what I'm getting everyone for Christmas.

Mom: photo album from all the kids & cash
BF: NFL tickets & money
Sis: perfume
Bro: money
BFF: candles
BFF's daughter: cute hat
Nephews: clothes

That's pretty much it. Need to figure out what to get our half sister though.

Fuzzy:  I thought it WAS egg custard.  What is it?  Whatever it is, it's gooooood! :)

Roscoe:  Want to try your hand at sourdough bread?  I can ship the starter and email you a recipe.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Just don't tell any of them about this forum... at least not until after Christmas.  They might see what they're getting.   :biglaugh:

Yeah, don't think any of them are on here...now if I had FACEBOOK, I'd be out of luck lol

YOU DON'T HAVE FACEBOOK?!!  What?!  How can you not have Facebook?  Are you still living in the stone age?  EVERYONE has Facebook!

Yeah, I don't have it either.    But some people just naturally expect you to have it.

I don't think things will be too slim around here. But then again with renovating the house we've decided to only buy 1 thing for each other then all extra goes to the house. I'm buying Brandon a drill. The only one we have is corded and it gets old dragging the extension cord around. Anyone have a suggestion on a good brand for one?
My husband loves his Rigid cordless drill.  They have a good warranty, just remember to register it.

This guy that used to be from Cuba made flan for the dessert contest.  It's too much like egg custard for my taste.

so where's he from now if he USED to be from Cuba?
He's from here now.  He came over on a raft years ago.

kkay

Yep. No Facebook. And if you ask my sister, it's because my BF won't let me have one  She blames everything on him. BUT the real reason is - I don't have time and don't want to make the time for it.

:)

kkay

Well, I have banker's hours so I'm off  :hi:

Have a good weekend, guys and gals.

Maybe after the holidays...I'm concentrating on desserts right now, and am about to run smack into a limited amount of time. I do appreciate the offer, although given the mess I make baking, Lou might not. :P

Funny... over the holidays I'm going to run smack into a lot of free time and very little to do.  Except for music stuff of course.  What are you doing, and do you need any help?  :teeth:

Unfortunantly, a large amount of it will be work related...but, I think I'm gonna have my normal days off, with the exception of a couple of days,so if some friday you wake up and decided you wanna wander west.......I'd probably be around.

Heather - Check Makita. My dad really likes their quality, and he's worked in construction for a good portion of his life (except for when he's been a full-time pastor).

Yeah, I'm not so fond of flan, either. It's kinda slimy and... I don't know. I just don't like it.

Heather, Nathan is a carpenter.  He built houses for 10 years and has been remodeling for years and years.

He asks if you're wanting to get him an impact cordless drill or just a regular cordless drill?  You can get one with both ability.  He said that is best option because the impact feature cuts down the time putting a screw in like crazy.  He said it makes the job MUCH easier.  But for actual drilling holes he'll also want the regular drill option.

He also said Makita is a good brand, though he hasn't tried the newer ones recently.

Hitachi- best value for best product
Bosch- for super heavy duty, like daily use.
Dewalt, more expensive, not necessarily better quality than the above.

He said they usually have good Black Friday sales at Lowes at least.  Under $125 for any of those is a great deal he said.

He also said pay attention to the brand of his other tools in case he favors a certain brand.

So there's a carpenter's review.  (:

Ok so what is all this mess about twinkles? FB is buzzin with jokes and stuff and I'm lost. Had a busy day today and I come back and feel like I missed something important. Lol
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Melody

Union twinkie workers demanded more pay.

Twinkie said no.

Union workers said they aren't coming back w/o it for a threat.

Twinkie said, that's fine.  We'll just close up shop and liquidate.

So that's what happened I guess.  And last I heard Twinkies were going for $100 on ebay because they'll soon be gone.  There were NONE at any of the local stores by 2'clock around here.

From what I understand, it's the entire Hostess Co. though.  So wonder bread and everything.  It's just that the twinkie factory workers instigated it.  I guess.  I could be a bit misinformed as I've just caught bits and pieces from the news.

Ummmm WHAT?!

This is NOT a good thing. We eat wonder bread! And I am supposed to go tomorrow and stock up on hostess stuff for the snack bar in the youth room!
