Two then one.
One, then two again.
Broken subtraction.

Rainbow, so gaudy,
"I will be there with bells on!"
Brighten rainy days.

I'm okay, Ruby.  My world is still effectively upside down, but one of my lifelong best friends just lost her boyfriend in a motorcycle accident last night.  He dropped her at her house and was killed on his way home.  It really made me stop and think about how short life can be and how much we can take for granted.

A response in verse.
