Some of the storm damages from yesterdays several rounds of storms that came through.... The church in the vid is Bro. Sangl's in Greensburg.
There was a lot of damage around Bloomington, and a tornado south of us toward Bedford...just right down the road, literally, from where Bill, the guy that's been coming to church lately, lives.
We fared very well, thank the Lord. And Lord help everybody trying to clean up and recoup.
Well I placed the order for the five-finger shoes. Let's see A how long it takes them to get here and B how they fit. Also ordered some assorted Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir albums I do not have yet.

Mama's wasn't sweet and just barely stayed together- real crumbly. I was perfect for soup or beans. She did make what we called "grandpa cornbread" for my grandfather that was sweeter and more cake-like, had flour in it, but what she made everyday wasn'

I wish I could remember- I know she used buttermilk in her biscuits, but I just don't remember the cornbread... Pitiful, I watched her cook dinner daily for most of my life and now, ten years after she got sick, I can't remember. SMH

Well, last night when I went to check if all was well at the church, was in the earlier evening right after the storm went through that brought the tornado just to our south. At that point, there was very little of any limbs or anything blown down up Hunter's Creek where the church is.....
Well, the storm that went through then late last night, actually did blow several trees or limbs down here and there up through there, including a few things at the church.... There's a field behind and to the side of the church, and along one side of the field it's wooded along the creek. There's one big tree that's fell over, but it's lodged in some other trees so not all the way down, hanging out over the field, and there's another tree that's not leaned as far as it is, but it's going with it too... Then it looked like farther back down the field something else was fell over, don't know if a limb or a whole tree or what.
Anyhoo....
My silkie chicken is still hangin in there....got the broken egg to come out of her finally.... Maybe she'll perk up more....I hope. Feels like another egg in her abdomen...maybe it's just the next one in line that's coming down the pike....dunno. I hope she straightens out and is okay.

I had CRAZY CRAZY GP dreams. :o
I apparently made it to some sort of meetup, far away. I drove the truck, and I was in a hotel, and Chel was there and we were looking at wedding pictures. And TL was there and a few other people who I dont remember now. And everything was over. We had had a lovely time, but it was time to leave and everyone was going home and I realized that I was totally out of money and didn't have a way home. And my hotel reservation was running out. It was really weird. Then some weird thing about a bunch of water, like a locker room shower, and some old guy trying to get in the door, and Tricia breaking dishes and making lables that were like fortune cookie fortunes that we peeled off and stuck on our foreheads.
Kimbers Aunt Linda was there and I told Chel that she gives GREAT hugs, so Chel hugged her and picked her up, and ended up making her throw her back out. So Aunt Linda was mad and Chel was sulking.
Then Chel had her notebook and was scratching out the quotes we all had at the Dome, and I got mad at her and Thomas said something about it being on GP at least, so don't worry, and I was really upset.
Then I woke up.
I guess my dream was mostly about Chel. Lol It was crazy. And there is a LOT more small details that I can't quite remember all of.

It can vary slightly, but the main thing is black beans (duh), chicken, sometimes a little bacon for flavor, shredded cheese, tomato, spinach or lettuce, and sour cream. Cashews can be good added as well.

Went and brought granny down here to the cemetary to put flowers on.... I thought she was going to kill us both with ant spray....oh. my. gosh. It was not enough to spray it on the vase inserts that she was going to take back home with her, because there were indeed ants in them....but she had to spray it allllllllll around the base of every stone and everywhere...... She was totally slap happy with it.
I didn't know if I was gonna have to call the Poison Control Center or not. I think at this point I may live....not sure.
Yeah. Went to church, my song turned out ok. Everyone said I did great. God was REALLY movin today...Jimmy has blisters on his fingers from rocking out on the drums! It was awesome! After church we had a bit of excitement, some old guy with a walker (today was only the second time he has ever been) he tripped over a rug in the foyer and broke his leg. He was hauled away in the ambulance. Then I came home and warmed up the ribs and beans and we had a feast, then I promptly passed out and took a good nap.

They admitted an older man to the hospital today, seems he has been living on the streets for over a year now. He was severely dehydrated and sick with who knows what.
But it angered me to hear the nurses talking about him at the nurses desk. Said they wish the hospital would stop letting "those kind of people" be admitted here.
Breaks my heart. He is someones dad, son, husband, father. Could have been a soldier at some point in time. But society has decided he is worthless.
What little I heard him speak he sounded so broken, so wounded.

Sad thing is...I won't get to be with my student most of the day on Thursday. Even though my student is autistic, he can be left alone in the class with the teacher better than another student in another class that has behavior issues. Feeling a mix of very satisfied and very annoyed right now. Very satisfied because I finally got off of my butt and got a cd player put in the miata. Now I can play CD's again. :clap: The old cd player died about a month ago and I'm tired of listening to talk shows- hard to get a good christian radio staion around here unless it's black choir music style, which I abhor. I was pleasantly surprised to discover no wiring was required- the old cd player's plug and the new were the same. Good thing too- I was installing it while texting with someone in a weird conversation regarding bbq'd goat. :laughhard: I'd have probably burned the car down if I'd had to wire it. :biglaugh:
Very annoyed because in my day of get all my chores done, I was progressing rather fantastically- until my John Deere ate its blade belt. That'll be $40 I didn't want to spend. :pound: Oh, well, can't win 'em all.
In other news, I tried a new chicken enchilada receipe a friend gave me. Very simple and quick to make, turned out absolutely delicious. This one will go in the "keep" file....

I've actually tasted BBQ goat when I was a child of around ten. A pet goat was caught walking on Daddy's prized pickup- same day the goat disappeared and we were invited to my uncles for a bbq that night. It was delicious, and years later Daddy admitted the meal was the goat. :biglaugh: He didn't want to hurt us youngun's by killing it in front of us, so my uncle did the dirty work. Under no circumstances would the goat have lived- it effectively committed suicide the moment it jumped on that truck. :laughhard:

I'm quite fond of black-style music myself...about 60% of our church is black, and all the musicians except one drummer is black. Plus half our singers. Kimber and I might as well be black too...we can sing like them if we want...so can Livis parents...so that leaves TWO people on our platform besides one drummer and Pastor who is white.

In other news: Howdy y'all! Great day today. Got my hair razed (1/8 inch, do it every summer for ventilation.) At work one of the furnace lines was down, the other was running '8012's and I would have been bored out of my skull... but fortunately they put someone else on the catching end and put me at a real job where I could DO something. I can waste time as well as the next guy but when I'm on the clock for some reason I get antsy when I stand around doing nothing, even if that's what I'm supposed to do.
And for the record, knowing there is a bowl of homemade apricot cheesecake pudding waiting for you at home can make the day go by so much easier. :)

I despise the choirs and hate the quartets even more :)

I detest choir music as a whole. Again, its probably me. I tend to loose the meaning of the song in the sound of the choir. It sounds like a roar to me, and I detest it. But then again, give me 3 or 4 folks, playing guitars, bass, and some drums, and make it a little rocky and I dont mind it. Southern Gospel is really iffy. If it's just the repeats repeats repeats repeats repeats repeats that get on your nerves, I usually load them in an audio editor, cut out the repeats and fade in/out so it sounds like they sang it without the repeats in the first place.
Now for something that a lot of people can't stand, try bluegrass gospel. I like it but I have to be careful where I listen to it.

Not liking extremely repetitive music does not have anything to do with liking/not like any certain kind of people. It rather irritates me when those 2 VERY different thoughts get inferred together.
I wish I could do that with music Isaac. There are some songs I would probably love if I could take out the 32 rounds of chorus. But then again I think the euphoric release from physical exersion can be misinterpreted as the Holy Ghost also at times, in ignorance, and lead to such rollercoaster emotionalism that's manipulatable by music. Yet music most definately plays a huge roll in facilitating worship, of which there is demonstrative liberty, so discernment is the only way to tell the difference. Perhaps that is why I dislike the repetitiveness, it's rarely in line with the current flow of the Spirit. God is always wanting us to go deeper, with or without music, so why sound like a broken record? God doesn't.
I like all kinds of stuff, but I don't like repetiveness in whatever genre of music, some white music has it too, just with a different style.
One of my all time favorite albums is "Letting Go" by Anthony Evans. I love his style and Nicole C. Mullen how she puts a highschool band sound in some of her songs.. so unique! I also love an album called "Revival in Belfast" by Robin Mark. I love all sorts of music, I am partial to IBC's songs.

Well, I was gonna eat the leftover liver and onions for lunch. So I got a plate, placed the rice and spinich ever so carefully on it, and grabbed the container that had the liver in it. Opened it up...it was just gravy! Someone had stolen my liver! Turns out, mom ate it last night, but left the gravy and onions. :smirk2:
So, what did I do? I put the gravy on the rice and ate it without the liver. :sadbounce:
Next time, I'll make two packages. One just doesn't go very far when it's THAT good.

Nope. It comes frozen.
I get a pan with some flour, add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and whatever else I toss in there and coat the liver in the mixture. Then fry it up in some hot oil in the frying pan. I don't cook it all the way done, I want it still bleeding when I take it out. After it's out, I dump the seasoned flour in the hot oil and brown it, then add hot water that I heated in the microwave with beef bullion in it. I add the water to the pan, and add onions to it. Then put the liver back in it, cover and simmer for about 20 mins.
SOOOO GOOD!

Something about puttering along the road in an antique just lowers my blood pressure and puts me in a state of utter contentment. We did decide to get off of the superslab and drive a two lane for the last ten miles or so though. Between the thumbs up- hopefully American style, Mel - and the camera phones being pointed at us, and drivers who are already challenged with morning traffic and coffee drinking running off the road, we decided in the interest of the public and Rusty's safety, we'd run back roads. I swear if he got 25 mpg, I'd drive him every day.....and sing loudly with the windows down, since he doesn't have a radio. :sing:
Then when I get to work and check my schedule, my weekends off starts the tenth. YAY! :clap: :clap: This day is gonna be great!

I've heard that drinking warm/hot drinks when it's hot out makes you feel cooler and regulates your body temperature. So how come I don't want warm drinks on warm days? Culture or are these people loons?

In other news, I was at Wal-Mart and smelled something I never, ever smell at Wal-Mart - the smell of really good peaches. The peaches Wal-Mart usually carries are bred for color and size, never for flavor. So I got some and they were every bit as good as they smelled. Gonna have to get some more of them.
The only other thing that is new here for sharing is that I am awash in Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir albums. Every time the mail runs I get a new CD. :D

Went to work, came home. Furnace lines still tempermental, spent half the night doing nothing but recycling parts that had to be run again. Even with getting another task I was still bored... I ran out of work on that extra task. I wish I could have brought my computer and worked on music stuff.

Baby Shower is over, it was the most adorable one I've ever been too. It practically oozed with creative genius. I wish I had all that talent! It was fun too.

FYI- the baby shower was a "cookies n creme" theme. They used those iced coffee starbucks jars and they look like milk bottles when the label is scrubbed off. It was so cute! Just in case anyone is looking for party ideas.

I may go back to the church in a bit and clean in the basement some....need to bleach the walls...they got moldy and stinky.....like overnight..seriously. Last night I didn't notice. This morning, horrendous. It stays too cold to run the dehumidifier without it freezing up down there part of the year...generally about June is when it gets okay....well....June came....I shoulda turned it on already I guess. lol I've seriously been watching to in hopes to thwart that, because it's a pain in my patootey to have to do this.... But, seriously, it like happened overnight...nuts. Bah. Anyways...it is highly unacceptable and I must remedy the issue.

Had bacon, eggs & cream cheese, and toast for lunch.
Went to church, came home. Only two people noticed my shoes, and one of them was a bus kid, so I think I'll keep wearing them. Nobody looks at people's feet anyway and I like them.
They took the church bus to take the kids to youth camp right after church, and my minivan was filled with stuff. I had to ask someone else to take the White boys home for me. Now I'm gonna have to clean out my van before tonight.

Today I Realized I had a cavity developing, I may never be the same! :nerd:Did I brush to hard??!?! ( <<<< Insert dumb joke here.)
After arriving at church I went upstairs to the youth room and decided to take a shortcut back down.!. YES I did fall down the steps and at this current moment I'm having a hard time walking. But at the moment it happened I JUMPED :bouncy: to my feet before anyone could see me and totally played it off like I only missed the last step and was fine. I walked away smiling :walking:(once around the corner I limped to my mom trying not to cry.) :cry2:
During song service someones mic had a short or some such as that. It sounded like static. I was hopping it was not my cord because after the fall I didn't need more help to have a GREAT day.
By the time I was able to leave today I was trying to get the upper-cut on a migraine and beat the snot out of the headache I had. I finally ate and I'm feeling much better now. My headache is about to tap-out! :fight:
I'm home now. We had THE TALK with my sister about her boyfriend. Well actually mom walked in and I was stuck in the room trying to escape. THE TALK went no where. She is more hard headed than I.
BUT IN OTHER NEWS :reporter: my day has been great I am going to make coffee and read a book. I can have a day like I've listed above, and yet I sit here smiling :bigcheese:!! GOD IS SO GOOD TO ME!!! What humor my day has had. Some things only God can handle, so for right now I am going to relax and LET GOD!!
