We had sour dough bread french toast for breakfast. :fork:

MsJennJenn

I had french toast too - but not on sour dough. But I'm not complaining.

Ike and cheese have the same amount of blessings... Hmm...

Thanks!  That reminded me I hadn't smitten him, or anybody else, for a while.  :freaky2:

Got sent home from work early. Apparently coughing and sneezing isn't good sound in a kitchen even if you aren't near food. Going to bed.

Okay, fine, thou art blessed.

I'm eating a refried bean platter.  Been tending fowl.

Going to maybe haul some water to the cistern in a bit.

A missionary is coming for service tomorrow and sposed to be here this afternoon or sometime, so I'm waiting for him too.... :smirk2:

Not anymore.
Which one did you add to?  I see Seth has more at the moment.

I'll never tell!

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Seth, I am sending you a present. One teen boy. To help you on your bird farm. Work him hard, feed him well, and keep him for.... oh, say about 5 years or so.

Looking at some tickets for someone's birthday. Already got anniversary, which might not be as big of a deal this year.

Now just have to figure out what to get for Christmas.

mini

Hi.

Busy busy...say a prayer for me guys.  I need it.

I have quite a few more smites than blessings...and I'm always requesting prayer. *hmph*

Will say a prayer, Minn.

Maybe we are attempting to bless you and accidently hit "smite"?  :hypocrite:

Na, it's more fun to smite you. :P

Today has been productive. I've "smited" Seth twice, Mini, Jenn, KKay, MelB and Fuzzy Beast once each. Oh, and perversly, I blessed Psalms. Now to go smite Meller and I shall be content.  :hypocrite:

Glad I got that out of my system.

It just hit me all of a sudden...as I was typing that...stomach pains. Maybe that's God saying stop smiting?

No, that's God saying "Stop smiting Roscoe. All others shalt thou smite freely." :hypocrite:

Oh, and.....I must needs repent to y'all. And for me to do so it is rare. Remember the whole hot-tea-with-milk brohauha the other day? A couple of threads ago? The one where someone might've call friends pansies, and hoity-toity, loudly proclaiming that tea should only be served sweet and cold?

Well... it is rainy and not nice here today. And cool. And I have been a tad ill-feeling. I found a box of "Celestial Seasonings" Cinnamon Apple Spice Herbal Tea that I had gotten sometime back. Didn't particularly care for it iced. So today I brewed a pot of it. Added sugar and a dash of milk to see what you nuts thought was so great.
The clouds parted, light shown around the cup, heavenly music began to play, and I heard a voice saying " This is My tea, in which I am well pleased." Well- kinda. The light was from my stove vent hood, the music was from the radio, and I actually heard" Sweet Lord, that is hot! And good" from my own mouth. Close enough.
I am a convert. And Lord, I hate admitting I am wrong. Maybe there IS a place for hot tea in wintertime....

Me too. With emphasis on the whole "massive" part. And this calorie laden tea with milk and sugar probably ain't helping. But I feel bad, and thus shall baby myself.  :hypocrite:

I get to see Chel a week from today!
How can ya keep 'em down on the farm, after they seen Paree?  Not even two weeks it'll be since she got home, and she's going to be off again.  No wonder we don't see her much on the forum these days.

Personally, I'd rather see her in person than on the board! The hugs are WAY better in person!

In local news we now have Fridays off, for lack of business.  And my minivan was at about 180,000 miles and still had the original spark plug wires/coil pack/etc.  And I have the money to get it done, so I called my mechanic up yesterday and took the thing over to get it done today.  The mechanic was in fact busy (all good mechanics are it seems...) but I said as long as I could drive it home before they closed up for the day I'd be happy.

In the meantime, as my mechanic is in a town other than my hometown, I decided to take a nice leisurely walk all over town and see what I could see. It's amazing what you can find when you're walking, with all the time in the world to look around.  You have time to actually notice what is there, and it's a lot easier to stop and go in a store when you don't have to find a place to park.  First I stopped at the power company to pay the electric bill.  Then I stopped at Auto Zone to get some information on how much and how to use a tire plug kit, which I will surely need at some time in the distant future.  Then I found a thrift store I'd never been in and got a few CDs.  Then I found the used bookstore I thought had gone out of business years ago on the other side of main street - turns out she had just relocated and the people I had asked years ago only THOUGHT she had gone out of business.  Then I found a mexican restaurant where they make their own flan.  This is a big deal for me because I like flan, but most places around here get them already made, in little plastic containers, and when you order a flan they just pop it out on a plate and put a dab of whipped cream on it.  So I was walking up the street, with a bag of books and a bag of CDs in one hand, a flan in a to go container in the other hand, eating the flan with no utensils.  Yum!

By the time I meandered back to the mechanic he was working on my vehicle, so I retired to a desk in the back and edited a few albums I had recorded off old records.  By the time I ran out of albums to edit he was done.  :)

So I've had a good day today.  I walked three or four miles, paid a bill, got some new music and books, found a source of homemade flan, got some music edited, all while I was waiting for my car in the shop.

Now I think I will lie down.
