What, because of the tedium of hitting refresh so much?
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

mini

Yes.  I need to be entertained by friendly banter.

Sorry, I just ate five scrambled eggs with a lot of cheese melted in, on two slices of sourdough bread and I'm currently spending most of my nervous energy in digestion.  That is THE way to start the day.  :)

I dropped my iPhone in a puddle. :smirk2:

The sound is the only thing that's been affected so far. I'm gonna put it in some rice overnight and hope for the best.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Sorry, Mel.

And Mini, I just don't have anything interesting or uplifting to say lately.  This season of life has been kind of challenging.

Lynx

Interesting or uplifting... hmm...

Thinkpad rocks!   And if your timing is right you can get one dirt cheap on ebay.

Sorry, that's the best I can do.  Unless you want to get me started talking about music... and you probably don't want to go there.  Trust me.

Harold Hoffman (From our camp meeting this year):  They stayed in a stable.  And if the inn was full, the stable was full.  They got great gas milage in those days, but the exhaust was terrible.

My phone seems to be working fine now.

I'm gonna nap.

Yeah. That. Witty banter seems to have disappeared from my life. I could chat with you about 12 yr old boys with attitudes. :bigcheese: Or moms about to go insane. :bigcheese: Or dads that are working their tails off to keep their family provided for. :bigcheese: Somehow none of that seems very cheery. There are moments I want to ask someone "God IS still in control, isn't He??"

That's the best reminder I've had all day. :)

Okay, here I go. Trying to rearrange my thinking....

Posts just for Jerbil.

And smites him.

You reap what you sow...unless you are on GP, in which case I still have yet to smite a single person.  I have blessed a few, but not smote.

I was wandering around a store at lunch, and saw a obviously expecting young lady.  She seemed very happy, albeit tired.  It got me to thinking about the source of her happiness.  I would be willing to bet it was the new life inside her.  That made me think about us as christians.  We should be brimming with joy, because of the new life God put in us!

Just a thought...

On like what?  We say its on like donkey kong.  But I have never heard "on like a pot of neckbone."  And all this time you make fun of meller for her hippy ways, and we fiind out you have had pot all along.

:ugly:

Just got this in my email:  Apparently Neil Armstrong used to tell unfunny jokes about the Moon and follow them up with, "Ah I guess you had to be there."

I've been contemplating emailing the person who did my bf's background investigation for the police office position he applied for. I just want to know what kind of chance they think he has...

But I'm resisting because I don't want it to hinder what they might already be thinking.

In Jesus' name, he WILL make it through to the next step.

In other news, I'm studying to get my AIC certification. Took a test today after studying 3 chapters for about a week. Passed that. Next test is *hopefully* next week. Then I'll have about 2-3 weeks inbetween for studying other sections.

Jen:  So that's who has been piling on the smites.

Que bono?

That was intentional this time, Jen, as repayment for the copious smites.

And again I ask, que bono?
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."
