Hello.

Waiting on Pastor/Uncle to get here (church) and us have a family meeting to discuss our next steps.

They have been thru this stuff before.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

I have caught back up to date on sharing.  Weird reading the span of days all at once and seeing all that happens in that length of time.

:smirk2:

Shrewby, Trenton had lots of nose bleeds because you socked him in the snoot, don't lie....  :P

MelodyB

Wow. Nosebleeds. That seems so long ago. That's the least of my worries now. Lol

And Seth, all that sharing and all you commented on was one little thing? For shame!

There was a lot, Poopsie....  That's just one that I picked out to chime in on.

Well, Cheese head was right, I spoke too well and now I do not get the At&t tech job.
Today I went into Hardees on a whim just to see if they needed any help, the lady tells me to come back tuesday at 2 and bring my uniform... I think I have a job....

You have a Hardee's uniform just laying around, eh?

So just now in my Facebook sidebar was a suggested page to Like, and it was called "Scruff" with a pic of a guy with, scruff....  So I was like, oh, those GP ladies would like this....I wonder if any of them "like" it already?  lol

But, then I discovered, maybe the GP ladies wouldn't like it quite so much.....

BTW. We will be moving back into the apartment in the church for awhile till we figure out what the next phase is.

But mom has to get rid of Furby.

I will shut my mouth now.

Well, I'm glad ya'll at least have a place to go, even if it isn't optimal... Praying this will all work out for the best...

I will say it for you...

There are small blessings that sometimes accompany huge issues.

*ahem* Except I think you might have used stronger language. And something more to the point about your hatred for certain small animals. :P

Ok so...don't shout too soon.

Blah.

We had Furby placed in a foster home. I mean had called a friend and arranged for him to stay with them for the duration of our time in the apartment, and maybe permanently. Well, we were on the way back to Gauiter to pick up him and our belongings from the place we have been staying, and we were gonna take him to his new home...when...*sigh* Pastor called and said he can't bear to break his dear sisters heart, and that "against his better judgement" he will allow Furby to continue to live in the same abode as my mother. But he BETTER behave and no peeing inside anymore!

Oy vey.

So much to my disappointment, we still have the dog in our possession. Blah. But mom is tickled pink.

When I saw him, I said "You dumb dog, I was really close to being rid of you!" and mom was not too pleased at my comment. Hehe.

MelodyB

So! For the time being, we will stay in the apartment at the church. I am SOOO HAPPY with this arrangement!

*contented sigh*

I feel...like I'm HOME. Seriously. I HATED living 14 miles from the church. (one way) It was too far from all the action and my friends and fellowship and the work of God. Honestly, for the time I've been that far distance away from the church, I've felt backslidden. It was too easy to not go to ALL the things at church and all the extra stuff cause it was far away.

That's how I felt at least. And dad would gripe about gas and whatever whatever. Now I can be involved with everything again, and still be "home" to take care of dad. :)

I know it's temporary, and it's not an ideal situation, but for now, I feel that I am at peace. A shiny bright window on what has been a really dark and cloudy few days.

I think I'll sleep well tonight. :)

*HUGS* to all my lovely friends I have here.

*fun Mel fact*

The bed I am currently laying on, and that will be my resting place till we move out of here, is actually the SAME bed I bought in Florida and carried up here almost 4 years ago! The same bed that Mary has slept on, Chel has slept on, Justin has slept on, and whoever else stayed at my house in FL. I sold it to the church a few years ago, and here I am needing to use it.

Weird. But at least I know where it's been. Haha.

It probably has bed bugs from all those weirdos.

Lynx

Yay!  Dad doesn't have to go back to Kentucky today, he can stay tomorrow for church!

"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

MelB - I have been reading your posts and trying to figure out why your mom had a thing for a furby...and why you hated it so much.  I could just see her as someone obsessed with the little furby dolls, teaching it new things, and such like.  Now that I know furby is a dog, not a doll, that makes SO much more sense.  LOL
