Why not Chicken soup?

Miracle of miracles! Mom made a peach cobbler! It was really good, and I likely ate too much of it.

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

MelodyB

Yes the cobbler was amazing! But then today when I was scrounging around for grub earlier, it was ALL GONE! The pan scraped clean. :sadbounce:

Argggg! I am so tired of waiting!! Wait to see what this storm will do. Wait wait wait. I hate that with a passion! Wait to see what damage will be done to us, if any. Wait wait wait.

We've already heard reports that the area around the church is under water. But we have to WAIT till its all over to see how much damage is there too. Wait wait wait!

:frustrated:

Come on already! Storm needs to hurry and do what it's gonna do so we can pick back up and resume normal lives. I hate the waiting! It's seriously driving me nuts. And in the meantime, I'm still sick and don't feel like all this time dragging by with nothing happening.

I still have not caught up on everything in here since before the end of the last thread.

I don't mind waiting on the Lord...
But it gets tough.... Will be glad when this storm ends.

How is the hurricane event going now?

I hope we at least get some rain from it up here.  It's warm again this week.

Well today started great and ended... not-so-great.  When I got home from meeting those two cool people I took a nap on the couch.  Then I got up to go to work, but I found I had left the key in the ignition and my vehicle's battery was run down.  So I had to bike to work, which made me late because I was expecting to drive to work, which meant I had to stay a quarter of an hour after midnight to make up for it, then bike back home.  Have you any idea how many bugs are out and about at night out here in the country?

Bleh.

So now I'm home, online, with a jar of Dickinson's vanilla creme.  I'm happy again.  :)

 Morning.  :hi:

My evening was awesome! The "two cool people" Isaac refers to showed up, and we all met Bro and Sis Papa and attempted to shut down the local Golden Corral.  Then, RainbowJingles and Lou tore off to hit the local Goodwills, ect, while Taco and I headed for Rusty and a cruise around my tiny town. Then, we went to my humble abode, where we sat and talked until the girls got home, then sat and talked even longer. We were up until after eleven....I SO did not want to come to work today. Had this not been a spur of the moment deal, I'd have taken off of work, but we are shorthanded and so I couldn't. Taco was making noises about holding a yardsale in my absence, and the Clown was wanting to have an antique auto sale. :o

I'm looking forward to tonight's service......it is gonna be awesome!

Oh, and Mr and Mrs Clown brought two items, in particular, endearing themselves to me----1) three bars of Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Bars.. :fork: and 2) Two loaves of awesome looking sourdough I have yet to sample, from another awesome friend. :fork:

The storm FINALLY showed up. Still moving really slow. Has just barely made landfall now. We have had lots of rain overnight, and our yard is flooded, but nothing more than we usually have. We are not trapped or anything. A few months ago we were flooded worse than this, but it's not over yet.

Dad is already itching to get out and "see the damage", but I'm still not feeling too great.

Roscoe:  Chocolate?  What's this about chocolate?  I didn't see any chocolate...

I've heard Trader Joe's chocolate is pretty good.  Then I heard from someone else it's not good at all.  What's your opinion?

Chel.... *raises one eyebrow*.... do I know about your plotting and planning? or is this a different plotting and planning? and... more importantly... should I be worried?!?

:beret:
Okay you've said that much.  Now you have to tell us what you know.  If you didn't want to tell us, you shouldn't have mentioned that you know about it.   :nono:

And I'll see your eyebrow and raise you a toenail.
Ewww. I think I'll fold.  :biglaugh:
Great.  You do the folding, I'll do the ironing.

And SippinTea I know you wouldn't tell, you know you wouldn't tell, but it was still a lot of fun to say that.  Just pickin'.  ;)

This is a different, bigger, better plot than that! :hyper: you don't know about this one.
  :attackhug: Be full of hugs!

Cheese. *stern glare* I have been smote twice. And the only person on GP I can think of off the top of my head who would do such a dreadful thing is you. So. I have smote you back. And now you now. Let the smite-ings continue. :demand:

*Hugs* Sandra.
