Roscoe:  Chocolate?  What's this about chocolate?  I didn't see any chocolate...

I've heard Trader Joe's chocolate is pretty good.  Then I heard from someone else it's not good at all.  What's your opinion?
I , personally, liked it.....and intend to enjoy my two remaining bars immensly.  :biglaugh:

Had a good service last night. good preaching, good friends, two first time visitors other than the visiting preacher, great fellowship after church.  It was great. I've got a couple pics..... I think I'm gonna make another thread to post 'em in...

And it's all because of some guy named Isaac, running around ruining my good name.   :-\  I hear he's been causing trouble all over the southern seaboard, and everyone blames me for it.

In other news, I believe I may have made a grave tactical error.  For some time now I have had all ten years of Calvin and Hobbes on a hard drive.  I set the whole folder as my computer's slideshow screensaver.  Now I keep getting distracted by whatever comic is on screen at the moment.

Thanks Roscoe.

We are ok. Here's the story:

The house was fine thru the whole storm, last night it started lightning and thunder storming and it continued all night. Dad was due for dialysis this morning at 9. So I got up at 6 and looked around, the water was up, covering the entire yard, and lapping up under the carport. The bottom quarter of the ramp was under water. We didn't think we had anywhere to go. No money for sure, but the area that our church is, tornados have been reported, and massive flooding down there. So we couldn't go there. After a few phone calls, the neighbor came and told us we have to get out and NOW, cause they are opening the floodgates in Mobile, and that means it will flood our house for sure. So we didn't know when we left, exactly where we would go. Then my sister in law called and said we could go to her moms house and stay till we can go back home, so here we are. And my Internet is working again on my phone.

Our house will most likely be flooded when we get back. I just pray it's not.

Dad has dialysis tomorrow now, instead of today.

I am so near to just bursting into tears it's not funny. I wanna just go and cry. But I can't.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

:headrub: This too shall pass, Mel. And if-IF- the flooding does take your possessions, God will provide even better.....even though it is sometimes hard to see. The important thing is you and your family are safe. Worldly possessions can be replaced. You and your family can't. Praying for ya sis. Wish I could do more to help...

I'm sorry, Mel. The boys and I were wishing this morning that we could do something to help. Even just with clean up afterwards or SOMEthing. But MS is a bit of a drive. :smirk2: Love you!

Well, as far as myself, our house is not flooded.. Its has been throwing trees and such against the house, but the constant rain has not started to rise, no damage so far!
God's been good to us.
My dad says as it heads north that's when it will start messing with our water supplies here, so we shall see what will happen, I miss you Mel and we need to escape together friend.

Mel, praying for you.  Keep us posted. *HUGS*

We got a call from the neighbor, her son canoed into our yard and went into our house and he said that it was DRY! No water has been in the house, and there is about 4 inches left before it gets up over the door!! Praise the Lord!!

We won't be able to go home for a few days, but at least we have a home to go to! Yay!

I feel MUCH MUCH better about things now. Still kinda worried, but not freaked out so badly!

:)

I'm glad to hear that Mel, I'm also thankful that God blessed us with cell service through this, because I like calling you randomly to check in..
If anyone can spare a few minutes of prayer, I have an interview tomorrow, from 12:30-3:30 for an At&t tech support postion.
I will be taking some test and hopefully being called back in on a trial run, I could use the hours, benefits, and money that this job has to offer.
But I want God's will.
I checked with the people today and luckily I will be able to get there and home with no problems, it is in a clear location, so all is set to go..
Thanks!~!

You can't do tech support, you speak English.  You don't meet the requirements.

The Purple Fuzzy

That's good, lol.  You get a bless for that. ;)

Chseeads

Well I even blessed you back for being so gracious.

MelodyB

That was pretty good! I blessed both of you for it. Lol

Many people have been taking my name in vain all this week.   :-\

I'm really getting tired of the "So, I hear you've been causing trouble in Florida" line.  Everyone says it, and nobody stops to think that everyone else has said it.

Just kidding, bro, don't tase me.... :laughhard: And I really understand.Everytime more than two cops sit down in a resturant we get the old "This is the safest place in town" or upon entering a business- (grabs friend)- "He did it! He did it!" :fire:
