Make it back to Wisconsin in one piece by the middle of July... then fish... photograph, bike ride, hike, grill out, and have generally as much fun as I can while trying to find a Job, and possibly go back to College in the fall... ohh... and buy a car!   :freaky2:
Again, I really do mean a real car... if I was gonna get married or find a wife, I would just say so in plain english... or maybe russian... lol

TheGirl

Have you....combed your hair today?

Is it hot where you are?

What color shirt are you wearing?

Is the cup currently half empty or half full?

Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?

Do you ever wear toe socks?

What would you like to do that you haven't done in a while?

If you had the chance to fly to the moon would you? Well, would you?

Have you eaten your vegetables today?

Is this enough questions for now?

taco_harvell

How is the car shopping going? lol

John  :waving:

Hmmm... that one Sir John is a tough one... LOL

They all have been remarkable...

I have actually met Miss Ruby, Lady Chel, Bens Iridiscente Bride, the wonderful PF, and few other Texas Ladies... all very wonderful.

I have spoken to via phone Lady Elona, and MelMel, and TG. (Yes John... her southern accent is great!)

Most remarkable, as to not cause any hurt feelings between all the wonderful ladies I have met this yr...?

Probably a tie between the Angel Baby and her little Redheaded Friend...

Hmmm... There are lots that could qualify for that... any movie in which there was romance, and the guy goes through a ton of trouble to get the girl, and still doesn't get her... or worse... ends up like Jack in "Titanic"!

Got a new car yet?
Nope... still looking.  But I did find myself a Moped... Lol!  Woohooo!  80mpg up to 45 mph... here I come!
(Celebratory party for in honor of my acquiring a new ride will be next Sunday here in Wisconsin... all are invited... !  No shirt, no shoes... no service...! (Phone service that is...))

Hows does it feel to be on the end with bad reception?
Positively awesome... that way when someone says something I don't agree with... I can simply feign bad reception... and it not be lying! (I just need to walk into the kitchen, and reception will cease to exist...!

Who put YOU in charge?
It should always be assumed that someone such as myself is in charge of whatever situation I am presented with... unless it is acknowledged as an issue before any said situations where someone else would not want me to be in control!

What should be the correct way to spell Louisville?
Lool-vul...

But of course that is how the native Kentuckian would say it... but anyone else from anywhere civilized outside of that foreign country would pronounce it Louie-ville!!

Did your trip cause you to make any changes in your life since you have been home?

The simple and obvious answer for anyone who has ever traveled to a foreign country with the poverty levels that are in Guatemala or another 3rd world country... yes.

The not so simple answer is the way in which to implement the changes.

I knew before I left that in America we have so much... but to see the faces of people who really seem to have no hope whatsoever... fighting daily just to survive and find enough food for that day. Being content finding enough food to feed their children and living with the knowledge that even though their house survived the last 5 mudslides... that tomorrow... they could wake up and find that their home and the few possessions that they own are buried under a few thousand pounds of mud.

Changes here in my life? Being more thankful... and continuing to search for a way to help those around me. I am not so quick to go spend money on something I really only want to buy... I think my view on what things really are important has changed as well. Hopefully for the better.

It is sad to me that I met people who are so needy that they cannot focus on anything beyond today. How do you speak to someone about an eternal loving God or tell them if they dont meet Him, they would be spending an eternity separated from that loving God, when all they can think about is that they have no food to feed a already hungry child... and have no place to sleep out of the rain... or that everything they own is on their backs. Or that they have no wood to heat up the food donated to them already.

I saw a place that was no bigger than a gym that had over 150 people living in it. They had 7 cook stoves to feed all those people, and two bathrooms.

Kids who had lost not just one parent... but both. Destined to live in the street if someone is not able to help them... and then, they wouldn't even live that long.

If anything, it has made me more interested in finding a way to help them get past that point, so that at some point in time... they actually might be able to hear about a loving eternal God... one that cares, and can hear them pray.

I wish I was back in Guatemala... and I do intend to go back... but for the moment... it appears that God has some more for me to learn here.

Just my thoughts at the moment...
