You sound like John... now you need to :bustamove: or  :waving:

MelodyB

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

MelodyB

I got green baby Lima beans cooking! Yum! Smells garlicky and oniony in the house...I'm sure if Pastor is here at the church he is wondering what I'm cooking. Haha.

We are only permitted to cook on certain days, and when I can, I take full advantage of it and smell this place up!

So, what do you do on the days you can't cook?

Lynx

Leftovers!

I was just imagining trying to hold a church service with the smell of lunch filling the air.  If the preacher didn't hurry up on his own, the congregation sure would do its best to hurry him up.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

In other news, 6,078!  My music collection finally broke 6,000 with this batch of CDs I got from the pawn shop.

I should have a party or something...

Yea that.
And why only certain days?

Days they have church service, smells up the whole church. Lol

It is a magnificently beautiful day today. Packing to go out of town.

I am exhausted though. I'm about to put Nathan on a diet if that will alleviate his snoring. :/

Lynx

Just make him sleep on his side.  Everyone I know who sleeps on his back snores.  Everyone I know who sleeps on his side doesn't.

Brandon snores more on his side than his back.

Starting to get nervous about surgery. I have to be there at 10:15 Tuesday morning.

We've had a rash of dogs being hit by cars here in Bristol. Mel, you should bring Furby up for a visit  :freaky2:

He would be one of the ones who gets hit, lives, costs thousands of dollars worth of surgeries and therapies, then you would still have to get up and take him outside and hold his hiney up so he could do his business...and since mom won't get out of bed to let him out when he can WALK...just imagine what a mess that would be. :smirk2:

Yes. Melodya was correct...the smell goes thru the whole church, so we can't cook on days that we have church and stuff. We do eat leftovers on those days, or sandwiches, or stuff that you don't have to COOK. Just open a can or something and heat up. Or we snack for dinner, and wait till after church and go get something out. But lately that's rare cause money is tight.

The Lima beans were awesome! I had a nice sized bowl, and some cornbread. Yummmmy!

Oh! I forgot...I was gonna mention this for discussion/opinions.

Sonic has introduced green iced tea and some new flavors to their menu. Mint, blackberry, raspberry and mango.

So far I have tried the green iced tea with mint and I am SOOO ADDICTED. Wow. It's amazing! I dislike raspberry, and I HATE mango. Yuk! But I was thinking of adding a fruit flavor to my tea next time, along with the mint...any suggestions?!

Also...one day I'm gonna get a brownie blast with mint added...can we say THIN MINTS?! I can't wait to try that one.

Has anyone else tried the mint flavor in their drinks?

Well, I haven't been on here for a couple of days, but John  :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: No I am not the one with 15 kids!!!  I am the smart one in my family--0 children.  The closest thing I have to kids is a red-headed step-son who I love with all my heart and two dogs.  The weenie dog, Chili, and a pit bull dog named Image.  Speaking of dogs, my heart is really going out to the little one that Mel is trying to kill off. Poor puppy!  Somebody save him!!!

Chili is such a possessive little jealous outfit that he wouldn't take to that very kindly. He thinks we are his people.  Sometimes i think we are lucky he lets us live here with him! :biglaugh:

Lynx

Finally, FINALLY someone else who feels sorry for the dog!  I knew there was something good about you.

On another note, I'll be in East TN this weekend.  If I don't show up on the forum until Tuesday, that's why.

Issac! A big box of CDs just arrived, and one of the first ones I saw made me do this: :D Thanks! Now I shall dive into the rest of them and see what other fun stuff I can uncover. :D

Now I'm all curious which one it was that made you :D .  But only mildly curious - I don't like to talk about the groups I don't like, because someone else probably gets a blessing from it and I don't want to ruin it by talking about why I don't like it.

If that doesn't make sense it's because it doesn't make sense, but I just got up and it made sense to me.  So I'll just go with "cool, glad you found something you liked."

Warning!! RANT:

If you are too sick to attend church, then what does it matter who will be there? If you are sick, STAY HOME! But it says a lot when you are too sick to go, but find out someone special will be there and then "Oh its a MIRACLE!! I'm healed! I can go to church now!"

If I'm sick, I'm sick. I'm not gonna go just to see someone special.

And another thing that gets me, how do you know you will be too sick to go TOMMORROW? That's tomorrow! Why try diligently ALL WEEK to find out if someone will be there when you may feel just fine and it won't matter anyway! It's not like we will see them other than at church, so who cares when they get here!?

I'm fed up with this situation. It's fake. It's hypocritical. I'm tired of dealing with it EVERY. DAY. OF. MY. LIFE.
