These people with my phone are rediculious. I go and pay the bill a few days early every month, but I wake up this morning and my phone is shut off...last month Dads was shut off, even though it was paid before cutoff time.

So that means I have to go down there today when they open and get it turned on again. Sheesh. They don't seem to know what they are doing.

If the service wasn't so cheap and if we didn't get good coverage, we would try something else, but this is the best in the area...besides the fact that one of the phones gets shut down even when the bill is paid. :smirk2:

Oh, and good morning. Sorry about the immediate rant. But when you wake up and realize you don't have a phone and should have, it's a cause for disgruntlement.

Thank God for WiFi!

Gonna take a shower, drop dad off at Dialysis, come back and pray, go eat breakfast with Granny and Ann, go vote, then now I'll be going to the phone place before time to pick dad up.

Happy Tuesday! :hi:
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Roscoe

Good morning all. Back at work.  :hi:

I quite agree.....but- if "discontent" is the opposite of "content", if you were not annoyed would you be "gruntled"?  :laughhard:

My poor brain has obviously shifted into "goofy" mode this morning. I'm blaming it on my local convienence store- they were out of Dr. Pepper and I had to substitute Coke. :reaction:

While I enjoy a good cold Dr Pepper periodically, Coke was the better choice. Good job. :thumbsup2:

No editing needed on this one.  Poor Roscoe is on coke.  Makes MellerYeller and her happy weed look downright innocent.

I'm sure some/most of you have heard about the 2 year old who fell into the wild dog exhibit at the Pittsburgh Zoo, right?

Soooo sad :sadbounce:

Raised about 100 questions last night for us.

Otherwise - I'm tired today. Took 2 allergy pills last night and knocked out around 9. Woke up a few times but I'm sure I got more than 8 hours total.

Cheeto.. I forgot you knew Doug. :)  Our pastor helped with the wedding.. I'm SO thankful for a God who steps in and shows out! My heart was broken for Doug and Ashley when I saw the news about her father BEFORE the wedding. They had a shoutdown at their wedding.. AND before the end of the reception - there was tongues and interpretation! Can we say our God is a Comforter or WHAT?!

I hadn't seen anybody say anything about all that.  That's good.

Got the phone back on...and did everything else I set out to do.

I voted. So if Obama gets back in office, it's not my fault!

Indeed.  He paid us all we could get from the government, so we are through with him.....  :hypocrite:

I'm going to go attempt to drive my nail in his coffin here in a minute if mother ever gets off the phone...I'm going to grandma's to do some stuff and she's supposed to be going too and I'm going to vote on the way over there but somebody called and she's yammering away.

Nelle

Yeah.. Jeremy & I were not able to go, but our pastor said that it happened. Hopefully he's not exaggerating, haha. :)

So we are not so much voting for Romney as we are voting against Obama?

For some reason I'm reminded of all the people who are getting Linux these days - not because they want Linux, but because they are fed up with all the Windows viruses and spyware.  Then they keep complaining that things work different in Linux.  They're not going TO Linux necessarily, they're just wanting to get AWAY from Windows.  :-\

Agreed. Seems like people just don't like Obama so they're voting for whoever the other guy is.

It's the lesser of the two evils.

And personally, I would rather a Mormon be in office than a Muslim. Mormons are at least closer to our beliefs than Muslims.

kkay

I'm not sure that Obama is Muslim. His father and step-father were Muslim but he was raised in a "secular" household. His mother was Christian but taught him about all different religions. He studied at both a Muslim school and a Catholic school.

So, in essence, you can't really say he's any religion.

And, in my opinion, just because someone is a Mormon doesn't make them any better than anyone else - including someone who practices the Muslim religion.

*steps off soapbox and waits for the criticism*

kkay

Off to lunch. I'm sure I'll get plenty more "smites" for my last post  :P

Nelle

Even if someone was Pentecostal.. I'd have to be wary in electing them based solely (or even kinda mainly) on religion. Wolves are in sheep clothing in any religion. And even when they aren't pure evil (or whatever it takes to be a wolf in sheep clothing), they may profess the religion but not hold true to all the beliefs/standards.. so.. in any case, my point is that they're human, and you can't take it at face value - but we all know that. :)

And besides.. Presidents can't do anything on their own. They need Congress & Supreme Court as well.. I'm almost more "non-partisan" than I wish to be "bi-partisan." :) Our system is like a giant tug-of-war, with little getting done to really help us now and in our future.

MelodyB

I won't criticize you or smite you on this topic. I usually steer clear of political discussions. So I won't be debating or saying anything more about any of it. I said the way I feel and that's the end of that.

In other news...my phone was off cause the prepaid card wasn't entered correctly...exactly why dads was shut off last month. No fault of ours at all since we just pay the company and they enter the information on the computer.

Maybe next month they will get it right.

Agreed.

And kkay, I actually "blessed" you for that post. :hypocrite:  I don't care what religion he is, I just don't care for his record and ideas for the country. For what it's worth, I don't care for some of Romney's either....but I personally feel his policies and ideas- at this time- more closely mirror my own. I fear that, like any politician, if elected, he will just fulfilled the promises made that best serve him.... Lord.
No matter....I shall go vote for the people that in my opinion profess most of my values, and let the Lord judge them and keep me...
