Nelle's tired. Ready for the weekend.. even though it's going to be busy! :)  Section 1 Fall Party tomorrow night, Saturday morning we're going to Cape G to go to Le Bounce with our Sunday School kids for 4 hours, and then that night, we're going with two friends (who are married to one another :)) to a bonfire at their family's house. We get to meet Logan finally! (Their baby they had in June/July.. They live in St. Louis.) Hopefully somewhere between those two appointments on Saturday, I'll be able to go through Colorfest (a crafts/art festival) here in town. Hopefully! I love it!

Ready for a nap now. Too bad I get off work in... an hour and 45 minutes, haha.

Nelle

btw, MY.. I noticed on Facebook that you graduated from Moline SH. We were in Moline just in August for Investing in Futures conference. :) Neat place.

Melody

Awesome!  Actually Nathan graduated from that particular school but I've lived in both Moline and Davenport.  If you ever go back, Whitey's ice cream is A-mazing and only local.  :)

Went to work.  Came home just in time to go to church, and come home.

Found out my uncle, mom's sister's husband, passed away this evening.  He'd been in various stages of ill health for quite a while.

And in lighter news, took chicken, duck, and quail eggs and quail to the Asian lady this morning....  When I was on her porch and she came out, I kept getting this horrible overpowering whiff of what seemed like cigarette smoke, but couldn't figure out where that could be coming from...  I didn't notice anything but the smell...  But then she pointed out to me, fearing I had noticed the smoke (which I hadn't), rising up from the back of her neck.... :freaky:

She had some sort of apparatus under her shirt, on her back, just down from her neck, with something burning in it.  She called it by name but I don't know what it was.  A Chinese pain remedy for back pain.

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Chseeads

Yeah, we don't know anybody around here that would want something like that, do we?

Going to pick up WAYNE.

:frustrated:

I feel sorry for him, and we are all he has, but he's taking advantage of Dads friendship, and dad is blind to it. I talked to dad about it last night, and he doesn't see it.

All we do is haul Wayne around this past week.

For once, I agree with the cheesemeister. It is a sure fire remedy if done right, and you won't hear them complain or take advantage again. Seems perfectly reasonable.  :hypocrite:

Morning, all. I got up, took Chey to school, took the Corvette by a dealer friend who was interested in it and now I am at the library. I told God this morning that while I personally was not in love with selling my Corvette, I would attempt to do so, and if it were His will, the friend would make a good offer. If not, I would take it that God has another plan in mind for easing our debt load.

My buddy drove it, liked it, told me it was the right color- thought he was buying it. Then he looked at me and said " I would, but I have too many hotrods." Did not even make an offer. In ten years of us buying and selling to each other we have never failed to make an offer, even if it were ridiculously low, and he has never had "too many hotrods" In fact, his usual attitude is much like mine. Too many is just enough- nearly.  :teeth: ....so, God must have other plans.
We are not in a postition that we will starve if the car isn't sold, but it would give us some extra jingle at the holiday season as well as wipe out credit card bills....Regardless- I did my part- Dealer, Craigslist, ect...
Now that I've agreed with Cheese and bared my soul, I am off to find a good book.

At work.

Today started eventfully with Brandon calling me at 7:15 am that his spare tire was flat. Yes, I said spare. He had a tire go down a week ago. So I had to go pick him up and take him to work. Now both his and my flat tires are loaded in the back of my car. My hope is they mate and make new tires for us.

Mom got mad at me for eating the last poptart out of her box. She had 2 more large packages. I didn't realize THAT one was hers. Sheesh.

I tend to always get "hunches" about things...or feel like something is just meant to be.

Well, there's a job that I think he could get in a different state. Not EXACTLY what he wants but pays as well as he said he would take. I also looked at my job's job postings for internal positions. There's 4 in that state...and one is the same as what I've been doing for over a year now.

*prays*

Please God...pleeeeease. This would be fantastic.

I also looked at apartments there...for a 2 bedroom (which is what he would need) it's only around $600-$800. That's cheaper than here. He could even get a condo.

*prays again*
