"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

That earned you a smite, since it was obviously a taunt, knowing I can't.  :pound: :pound:

Whew. Lots to tell today. Just not ready to tell it all. So tired!

But I will say that we are not as bad off as we thought. All was not lost. The water didn't get as high as we thought either. It's been a good day, I'm just exhausted. And still waiting on Granny to come over and help me with the dehumidifier in the car.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

MelodyB:  Glad to hear it. :)

Roscoe:  What meanest thou, smiting me?  You got two, unless the people with whom I sent it were unfaithful stewards of that which they carried.

Bless you, my son. :hypocrite: Maybe that will make up for my hasty smiting.

I must admit they were good stewards, and honest too.....I've been enjoying it for breakfast the last few mornings.
It was more the principal of the matter... :hypocrite:

HE smote everyone except the lunch lady.  He had a crush on her.  :ugly:

Had a great day today.  Actually, had 2 great days.

Preached for a neighboring pastor yesterday so he could enjoy a day off.  Went in, had a beautiful service, great altar call.  Preached hard enough my shirt tail was untucked by the time I was done.  LOL

Came home, got a great nap, then went out and got Sam(the52Chevy).  Got up early this morning, spent some time with Sam getting the yard cleaned up.  On my way back, I passed a guy in a new caddy.  He saw me coming, rolled down his window, stuck his arm out and gave me a thumbs up!  Made my day.

Finished off this evening with family dinner (BBQ!) and then some shooting with Pa and Lance my BIL.  Oh, and Lance even drove Sam!  First time to ever drive a stick!

Now that I am done rambling, I will thus disperse myself to a reverse prone position in yon bed.

Nope. No crush. I just knew what her cinnamon rolls tasted like. Couldn't take the risk of being booted out sans goodies.  :freaky2:

I hear that!  I had never even thought of making sourdough cinnamon rolls until one time we went to a neighboring church for a puppet workshop, they were serving breakfast, and one of the dear ladies of that church had contributed sourdough cinnamon rolls.  I tried one and forthwith announced my intention of swiping all that remained.  One of the men of that church informed me there were many others familiar with said cinnamon rolls who would stop me at the door.   :-\

Purple Fuzzy:  Wish you were here and I were there.  Sis. Jackson, an elderly lady who is basically a part of our family, is staying with us for a few days because her central air conditioning conked out.  Wonderful lady, but she has a penchant for tuning in a certain singer your husband likes, but you and I both share a distaste for.  I figure as you are more used to it, you should be here because you could endure it better.

Just put on your noise cancelling ear phones. ;)

I wonder if it's the same singer that my mom likes that I find distasteful. :smirk2:

Do his initials consist of the letters J & S?

Waaaaaay ahead of you.  The JVC marshmallow earbuds at Wal-Mart are fairly good, with a very equable frequency response and surprising external audio blocking.  The Wal-Mart price is a rip-off though - get them online.  But even at the Wal-Mart price they're surprisingly good for the money.  And of course I have plenty of music to pipe through them... :)

And no, I'm not a paid spokesperson.

MelodyB:  I try to avoid naming singers or groups I don't like, as someone else might like them and I don't want to rain on any blessing they might get from that singer.  But yes, those are the initials.

Lord, what a morning. Decided to drive the 'vette, because a local car lot has an older Mercedes diesel I am interested in. Was gonna stop by tonight and see if they'd have any interest in trading for the 'vette. First, I hit an armadillo- and immediatly thought of Seth- and the sucker rolled from one end of the car to the other. As low as the Corvette is, he was toast. And toasty armadillo is not on my list of good smelling breakfast items.  :laughhard:

I rinsed it off best I could, and went by the local station that I stop and get my morning beverage at. Car shows to have a quarter tank of gas, so I figure I'll fill up when I get to conway or Little Rock- cheaper gas.
My car' fuel gauge lies like a rug.  The car refused to start. I immediatly suspected the fuel pump, because they are known for dying. After 30 minutes of trouble shooting I determined the fuel pump was working fine. Pushed the stupid thing to the gas pumps, put ten bucks in and it fired right up.
Needless to say, I have been running late all morning, it is 90 degrees out already, and I've sweated through every stich I have on. SO not a good morning.  :pound: :pound:

Morning everyone.

Po' Roscoe...he no have good armydiller toast.

As for me, I'm eating a decidedly nontraditional breakfast.  We had a family get together yesterday, and she decided to make chicken and dumplings.  And yesterday would have been my grandma's 93 birthday.  And grandma was renowned for her chicken and dumplings...man oh man.  When my wife said what she was making, and I realized it was grandmas birthday, I told her "You better make em!"  And they make for a great breakfast!

Hello.

Who is this KKay? What was your name before?

It used to be apostolic_girl04.

:hi:

kmymbir

Heading to clean a house today, my mother had a few choice words with me last night, it's amazing how when you finally feel on track everything starts hitting you again trying to push you in the ditch...
I wanna get radical and do something crazy!

Also, I feel bad... because I told her to stay out of my business...
In a way I know it hurt her, because i'm pushing her away like I use to in the past, but it's not like she trust me either way... even if I let her know everything... She holds too much against me.. I can't fix the past, I'm tired of hearing about it... So she can but out of my everyday until she realizes i'm on a new track!

That's probably the wrond attitude on so many levels... But I'm so fed up and Have no direction in the matter... Somethings gotta give..
plus i'm emotional again.. ThE wOrSt time to make any decisions..

Had an amazing service at mom's church Sunday night.

Had some prayer time yesterday.

Hoping all the prayers help with our situation. I probably emailed/requested prayer from about 100 churches over the last week.

Prayer changes thangs :)

Roscoe:  Yeah, I've been there.   :-\

Kmymbir:  That's what baseball bats are made for...  Shut up Isaac, don't give her any ideas.

kkay:  I vaguely remember an apostolic_girl04, but nothing else about you.  Welcome back though.  I must have come in too late, I've only been here about a year and a half.

Of course I could say Roscoe's car trouble was justly deserved for the smiting he gave me yesterday... but that would be mean, so I won't say it.  Nope, nope, won't say that.

Psalm - I think I might have been on here once or twice when you started posting. I've *technically* been on here for a number of years but I don't really show up much anymore.
