I wonder if we made a wax figure of Mini, and then melted it, if we'd get Roscoe... -MellerYeller

The refining fire of life..... using Job 23:8-10 as my title scripture.
8 "Behold, I go forward, but he [is] not [there]; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold [him]: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see [him]:
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: [when] he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."

Basically pointing out that a) even when we can't see Him, God is there working on our problems and b) after all is finished we will be pure and holy, as He desires us to be....

You have my sympathy on your misfortune. :hypocrite: And We would call it natural selection- them that ain't smart enough to stay in paradise flee to other nearby states and raise their families. Kinda like Moses- so close to the promised land, but unable to enter. :P

On that, my cousin, who I work with and is actually kinda my boss, says I worry to much and I always manage to find the negative in everything. So as a half challenge he said I should find one good thing about everything I don't like about my day. It worked pretty good for a while...so in a way I think God was working through him to show me that sometimes things aren't always as horrible as we think...might be a good idea for me to go back to doing that....

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Roscoe

Actually, I'd consider that pretty good advice, Laci. I've a friend that sees everything negative. He's one of the most miserable people I've ever met. And while he has alot wrong in his life, just by looking at the good in his life would change his world. I know, I've been Negative Norm and Positive Pete. Life is better being positive, even if we have to work on it. After all, life is a gift from God. We should embrace, enjoy, and live it for His glory!

Bro. Hardin told me they had prayer for me at a prayer meeting last night and sent a prayer cloth to me by someone who lives down this way.  I'm going to run up to the "store" to meet her and pick it up.

Been a very long and stressful day for me.  The most aggravating thing today was a cell phone port that my customer and I have been working on for 3 days and still dealing with mess ups from other sources.  Some strange guy had accidentally ported my customers phone # over to a different cell phone company in the middle of our trying to port her number to the prepaid phone she wanted...needless to say it left a huge mess for us to try to figure out and straighten out.   Was stressed out enough that I was almost physically shaking when I clocked out for lunch at almost 6 hours into work because of how the day has been.

been spending my evening vegging online and learning how to play Mario on my new Wii system.
