The Purple Fuzzy

I just knocked a knot on my head when I was trying to get something out from under a desk. :(

My first inclination is to laugh....But I know that hurts.  So I'll laugh, and then console you.  :headrub:

:hypocrite:

Well....I've washed everything at the church except the 3 sides of the old part of the building.  They could stand to be, but don't know if I'll get them done or not...  Now I've got to start getting these other 400 ducks in a row....

And I don't think I can even get on that stupid roof...my lands that thing is steep.  I climbed up and just looked at it, and it'd like looking at a wall.  I just hope it doesn't leak any before I can get somebody to fix it....It's just some missing shingles off the "hip" where the two sides come together.

And I forgot to mention, there's a screw in my back tire.....Bah.

MelodyB

Just look at it then! LOOK AT IT!!

I was gonna comment on the geese atop the outhouse, but you ruined it now. :sadbounce:

Its typical Se.th world.

My cousin just went to the ER with chest pains. Please say a prayer for him. I'm at his house now waiting on his wife to bring me Parker so I can take care of him while JP is in the hospital.

Dont know what is going on yet. Gonna take Park to the church with me when he gets here...don't know what after that. We shall see.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

As I stood there on the ladder looking at it, that's exactly what I thought about....

That stinks S eth.  My tire ripped 2 days ago. So we'll see how long a doughnut lasts.. lol

Nathan's transmission went out last week. $2300 for a new one or that's a quarter of a new truck loan. Of course being debt free for 2 months must've been long enough. Lol
I still have way too many apples. I keep making pies but butter is at least $3.50 here so it can get pricey!  On the upside someone just have me a brand new pkg of flax seed. Great egg substitute in baking.

Leaves are changing & falling so we are working on building up our pile!  It's big enough to jump in already!

Is it sad that we both think of that?

I don't know if it is or not....  I've become quite the Ed and Jack fan......

sunlight

Perhaps you should make apple butter instead.  :smirk2:

On the tire thing....it seems to be holding air okayish without the trailer and tank of water weighing on it...and the screw is at the top side where it's sitting....  Hopefully I can drive it to the tire shop where I got the tires at, and they do plugs for free if you got the tires there I think.....IF it can be plugged.....it's right at the edge of the bottom....close to the sidewall...I don't know if it's where they can plug it or not...they can't plug them if it's too far up the side....I hope it's pluggable, otherwise, patooty.

Praying for you John!!

I am also wondering how flax seed is an egg substitute.......

You can substitute all but one egg in almost any baking recipe. Sometimes I sub all the eggs but then the consistancy is different, which I understand.

1 T ground flax + 2T water = 1 egg. You mix &let sit for a couple of min. while you do other prep. It gets gooey like an egg.

It has omega 3 stuff that fish & nuts do.  It also emits a slight oil like nuts &has a slight nutty flavor similiar to pecans. So by trial & error u can also decrease your oil in recipes.

It makes a great additive to granola & breading mix.  You can also top breads with it like sesame seeds. That's what size they are in whole form. I would buy them whole & grind them in the blender a small batch at a time & store in a jar in the fridge.

Hope that helps! :)

Good report on JP! it wasn't his heart! It's some minor pain due to stress and the collapsed lung he had a few years ago, and nothing to be alarmed at!!

Thanks for the prayers.

Parker and mom and I are back at the house waiting for Britt and JP to come home.

See yall tomorrow! :hi:

Praise God!

Anyone hear about Heather's tests yet?  I think she's great & needs to be ok s I can meet her. Totally selfish, I know.

Did I miss a Lacey post about her appt?

I don't know how to make apple butter or apple sauce.  I need to figure it out.

IowaSkirtGirl

Nope you didn't miss a post. :) I'm just behind. Catching up on the facebooks and texts about today.

I went in this morning at 615 am. Which is way too early for my mind. I was sitting there waiting..scared and nervous...They had a horrible time getting my IV and then they couldn't get the blood they needed. So it started of terrifying me. I was scared out of my mind. so I closed my eyes and prayed. When the anesthesiologist came in to explain what was going to happen I asked for something to calm me down. She gave me something in my IV and I kept praying. They came to get me for the "surgery" and I wasn't scared. It wasn't as bad as I expected. I woke up feeling good and awake and calm. When the dr came to talk to me after and show me the pictures he said that he had great news. The "mass" that they had found was gone, just gone. All that showed was some irritated tissues there.  They did do a few (6) other biopsies to see what is wrong, and I do have the beginnings of some pretty bad ulcers. So I'm on some different meds to help with that. So that is my amazing news!

The bad news of the day. They fired me at work. Medical leave or not, they replaced me. So I'm jobless...AGAIN! But if God can heal me, he can find me a better job!

Love you guys! I'm just really tired and sore tonight. I promise to keep you all updated. or add me on facebook!
I'm just me, round and bubbly like a lil honey bee!

Applesauce is easy peasy. I have a crock pot method I LOVE because it's super simple. I peel and core the apples and cut them in chunks put them in the crock pot with about a cup or two of 100% apple or cranberry juice I've even heard of people doing grape juice. I put it on high for an hour or so then on low for 6-8 hours..mush it up and freeze it. I freeze it in bags and then put it in a "recycled" peanut butter jar after it's thawed out..

Apple butter is one I need to learn too :)

You just cook the poop out of some apples with sugar, cinnamon or whatever your particular recipe calls for.

Lynx

Cook the what out?  How many worms did you find in those apples anyway?   :o

Ok! I have a crocker.p recipe so today I'm going to try it. It says it takes 40 hrs about.  Then I'll can it.

Thanks for the inspiration Sethers!

:hi:  Morning, everyone.  Chel comes home today!

*waiting for an update from Heather*

Hello, everyone! :hi: I was up drinking coffee at 5:30 this morning. Yes, I know. That's early. But when my night-owl husband got a job that starts at 6:45AM... well, let's just say the whole family's schedule ends up rearranged significantly.

Cheese, I'm late to comment, but the first thing I noticed in your pic was the geese. *grin*

:sing: Good morning, George, how are you? I hope you're feeling fine!... :sing:
