It's ok...I'm sure he saved you a couple of loaves.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

It's an hour and 20 minutes until my lunch break. I'm starving! Haha...

agave nectar is worse for you than white sugar!  Just so you know.  Unless you just squeezed it out of the plant just now.  Processing takes ALL the good stuff out.  It's terrible for diabetics. Same with regular store bought honey.

I'm not a diabetic and I like the flavor.  Dark honey, unprocessed, is the only way to go.  As I have never tried fresh-squeezed agave nectar I wouldn't know how it tastes.

unprocessed would be raw.  I've never seen dark raw honey.  Where do you get it? I agree raw honey is the only way to go.  Powerful stuff!  I have wondered what they knew in Biblical days that we don't now, about honey.

myhaloisintheshop

we have some local raw honey--it taste stronger than store bought.  Good stuff!

MelodyB

Dad used to have bees. We had our own raw honey. It was amazing!

I like agave nectar for some things...and we can get raw honey at the farmer's markets here!

I like "sugar in the raw" or whatever it is called the best, but it's so expensive....
I'm just me, round and bubbly like a lil honey bee!

Melody

me too ISG.  "Dehydrated cane juice" is a good and less expensive equivalent.

I wish we could like have a video conference chat option on GP. That'd be fun.

Another warm day and another quiet evening here.

I dare you to take one of those honey stirrer stick thingies and poke it into some old ladies' big beehive hairdo and just say you're looking for honey in the hive....

Well aren't you just a precious man.

Is it still Thursday afternoon?  It must be, because that stupid land lawyer guy was supposed to call me on Thursday afternoon when he got back into the office, his secretary said.  And he never has, so I guess this must still be Thursday afternoon.....it's been a really long afternoon.....

Anyone know what thread I should do my testimony in? Or should I blog and link it?

I read your thread Iowa.  Having never been there myself I can't say I know how you feel, but I'm glad you found your way out.   :great:

Howdy to everyone else.

Is it Friday yet?   :smirk2:

You find a farmer who's bees have been foraging on plants that result in dark honey.  Buckwheat honey for example.  Or local honey from bees who have not been provided a specific type of plant (i.e. clover, rose) to make light honey - bees who have just been allowed to go out and find whatever plants are in the neighborhood - that usually results in a darkish honey.

My dad used to keep bees and mmmmmm-MMM it was good!
