Grrrr... I can't find my Bible ANYWHERE!  just when I had some time free too.  I could use another Bible but that one has my marks in it.  After you've had a Bible for a while you can't just pick up any old copy.   :-\

Congrats on losing weight and training!

I'm very glad the spot cleared up.

P.s.

APG: That's great news!!!

Rant alert:

Why do people who are suppose to be so smart make things so much more difficult than they need to be?

Have you ever tried to do long division in  MSWord and show your work? I just spent the last 2 or 3 hours doing that. We could not use Excel or use any tables. Took forever to get those numbers lined up so they would make some kind of sense. I feel like I just did formatting homework instead of Math. I could have done the Math by itself in about 20 minutes. If anyone knows a way around this I would appreciate the info.

Okay sorry about that. But, I feel much better now.  :waving:

How was everyone's day?

Mine has been a little stressful, my mother got a bad report at the doctors, church was canceled again, and then that crazy formatting issue with the homework.

God is good though, and He knows better than me. So, I am just going to trust him for a better day tomorrow.  :bigcheese:

Long division?  In MS Word?  Um... why not just a .txt file in Notepad?  :P

Really, surely there has to be an easier way.

BTW were you required to buy MS Office or were you able to get away with using OpenOffice and saving the file as a .doc?

I had to buy MS Office. All assignments have to be turned in as a Word Document .docx, no exceptions.

Not logical.  Odd for an (ostensible) institute of learning to be so technologically narrow-minded.

In other news, I don't know nearly as much about music as I wish I knew.  I wish I had a teacher, but the only good teacher around is booked solid, with four people waiting for the next opening.   :smirk2:

Okay i almost blew a fuse.  I rebooted my new laptop with Windows 7 and it came up with nothing at all on the desktop.  No folders, no icons, no nothing.  Tried a few things, did a quick google, tried some more stuff, and found out that the "show desktop icons" choice got unchecked during the reboot somehow.  I thought all my hard work of the past couple of weeks was gone, and all it was was a stupid setting that changed itself!  While googling I found a lot of other people have had this happen to them with Windows XP, Vista, 7...

For the record this has NEVER happened in any Linux I have ever tried.

:pound: Windows.

Today is gonna be a long one...walking with Brittney...keeping Parker, then headed to the hospital cause dad is getting another toe cut off this morning. Then tomorrow, we have Our Daily Bread, and a Birthday party for Granny (surprise) and then Youth.

Gonna be a long weekend!

* MelodyB wonders if one of the random directions that Ruby was waving was southeast.

* MelodyB decides that if Ruby was waving in a random directions, that surely one direction was meant for her.

* MelodyB starts to wave back at Ruby...

* MelodyB decides to *attackHUG* Ruby instead.

No Taco, alas there are still some payware virtual instruments that will refuse to make a Linux version.  So Windows still has to be my go-to OS for music because I can not give up my RealGuitar.
