You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
When skies are gray

:sing:

Yeah.  Just make her happy.
Avoid the stuff that doesn't.

Ummm... the answer to that is a resounding yes, or else...

Why would there be a thread contemplating the ways on how to make a gal happy!

And not all the things that makes girls happy, always make them happy!

The Purple Fuzzy

It all goes back to the particular gal you are trying to make happy.  Some gals love some things, like shopping, others hate it.  It all boils down to communication and getting to know the person... and it goes both ways.  Some guys love hunting and fishing, my guy doesn't... but that is something you have to find out by communicating. ;)

RainbowJingles

So number one on the list is that girls like

COMMUNICATION

*Note* - Communication is a two way thing...

true...and I can't believe this thread is still going LOL.

Hey..a guy just needs many job quailfications to keep a gal happy  :hypocrite: j/k

In all honesty...if a girl falls for a bloke...love is blind....initially...so in a sense...for a limited amount of time...he can do no wrong...eventually the initial 'in-love-ness' fades...hopefully she hasn't married him by then and gets to know him better once evrything goes back to normal.

I love that you used the word "bloke" in a sentence... too bad we couldn't get you on a GP call, I would love to hear your accent...

RainbowJingles

Who says you couldn't get her on a GP call??  lol  You'd just have to pay an arm and a leg for the phone bill!  Check with your phone company to find out the rates before you call.

I was thinking more of the time difference thing... they make these cool things called "calling cards"!   :hypocrite:

BOL...I don't think my accent would be what you would expect from someone living in Aus. Elona and Nik have heard me speak before..so they'd probably be the best judges on that count...growing up (and currently also  ) I was heavily influenced by BBC programming...so my accent would probably be a mix of British and Australian..especially since I work with people who have strong Australian and other accents...sometimes I remember my training and enunciate properly and sometimes I get lazy in my speech..anyway...depending if I'm irked at the time...my accent tends to be thicker then. Personally, I don't really know what my accent's like...few people can pin it down.

Interestingly enough, depending on whether I'm speaking to someone with a strong accent...I sometimes unconsciously imitate their accent...I have to watch myself, because I don't want to offend them. It's 3:00pm over there and 9:00am over here.

I think any accent different than my own is awesome... especially British and Australian... whatever type of mix... lol.

I inadvertently pick up accents on a regular basis... so mine is not definite on any specific style.

So if it was 9pm here in Wisconsin... it would be 3pm there the next day? Wow

A Lovely Lady with a mixed accent of British and Australian? Oo, la lah!  :thumbsup2:

My southern accent is very obvious as many on here that have heard me can tell you. Plus right now with my allergies it sounds even worse. I was once told that people needed a translator for my accent. :)

Ohh boy... time to resurrect this one again... *snicker*

Yoop has a question for the ladies to answer... but has to think of the correct way to phrase it... lol

YooperYankDude

I just reread this whole thing... and I think there may have been one or two whole comments about how to make a gal happy... however... we did cover...

Elona's fascination with jail inmates...

John taking her breath away...

The different types of peeps...

Awesome Aussie accents...

Mel's love of fire and things that explode...

and a few others...   :laughhard:

Would it be considered Strange and weird or sweet and thoughtful for a guy to drive 90 miles roundtrip to stick a card and rose (not red... just yellow or white, or even a lavender blue rose or flower of some sort on a gal's car while she is at work, that he is more than friends with, they just haven't bowed to all other people's peer pressure and put a title other than "friends with a lot of potential" just yet... just to let her know that he was thinking about her during the day??

Need to form an opinion before 6pm CST today... LOL

Okay maybe I'm just a seriously old-school romantic, or delusional haha prob both, but I think that is AWESOME. If I had some guy do that for me (that I did like haha) I'd DIE with excitement!! Oh my word I'd be on top of the world! lol

Thanks for the input! I'll pray that God sends you a hopeless romantic! :) Unless your already married... then give me your husbands email... and I'll give him the idea... lol

See... that is the issue. I am a diehard, hopeless romantic... lol. I know that in the past (like 8 yrs ago... lol) when I was in a serious relationship that the girl thought it was very sweet... but we never got married (well she ended up married! lol... just not to me... lol). I have been out of this whole dating thing for almost 5 yrs... not sure if that is something girls appreciate at this point in history any more... lol.

Has the time of hopeless romantics and chivalry died...?  I will saw her last night, spent the evening at her house with her parents... she worked till 8pm, and then we hung out till almost 11pm. And I will see her on Thursday for Thanksgiving dinner... but I think it is sweet to do things like that just cause... just cause I was thinking about her.

I haven't sent her flowers yet, except once I texted her a picture of a rose... lol... just cause... and she laughed and thought it was cute... lol. So I thought it would be nice to give her a real flower, just cause... nothing special other than I was thinking of her... I could do it tomorrow instead of today... she is working both days... decisions... lol.

MsJennJenn

Haha I am not married - and God is sending me my hopeless romantic. He's almost here....haha

Welll in my book it's very hard to find someone who is an old-fashioned romantic who is chivalrous....which are two things I look for haha...

I had an old friend, we talked for over a year...and he'd do random things like that. He once sent me a card on "Ground Hog's" day just to say hi, happy ground hogs day...it wasn't something expensive, it wasn't something huge, but it MADE my day....it was the perfect gift...and it was snail mail....which is romantic in itself....
