Blah. Who, pray tell, recently scandalized people both here and abroad by resigning from a whole host of ministry duties?

That's right... yours truly. :P

And so far.... I'm not feeling guilty. (Well... at least not very much.)

What is your Favorite Planet? and why?

I've thought of Neptune and Pluto, but I would have to argue Pluto in this past year, as it was stripped of its' plantary status, when supposedly very shortly before the conference, it's status seemed firmly secure.

I have read that, had Pluto stayed a planet, then another celestial body that more has been learned about would have to be ruled a 10th planet in our solar system. By de-plentfying Pluto, neither are now conssidered planets.

I'm certainly not an expert in astronomy, although I used to have some interest in the field, but I am tempted to term it institutional arrogance where a single conferebce can de-planetfy a body that has been recognized as one for decades.

More of an answer than expected, correct?

actually coming from you, no  :laughhard:

   Thankee, thankee :)

As a teenager, I used to study astronomical data, and was interested in how many light-years away things were. At one point in my life I had interest in astrophysics, but I didn't have the mathematical backgorund for it.

That isn't false modesty on the math part: while I work well with basic calculations, I didn't like the 'higher' forms of math, where I couldn;t place a concrete value on a number..for instance, the value of 'i', the imaginary number, is negative-one: how does that make logical, concrete-grasping sense?

Remember, a positive times a positive is a positive, as, if I recall correctly, a negative times a negative: is a positive, and it is a positive times a negative or vice versa that is a negative..the chief engineer and I just discussed this, and we're not certain..I need to Google it!.

If nobody buys a ticket to a movie do they still show it?

If trees could scream would we all still be so cavalier about cutting them down?

Hmm..three responses here

I do not think much in terms of being able to question God..there are things I'd like to know the answer of, but wouldn't think it propr to ask God about.

The last two are quite the questions..I think they would show the movie, in case they had latearrivals.

No, as to would we cut so mnay trees down if we could hear them scream, but I do not ascribe human feelings to plant matter, nor do I think animals have souls.
