Good title, poopsie.
:waving:
You may all now proceed to talk about the bore....I mean boar.....I mean, Roscoe.
I thought we were talking about the Bible!
Oh and I live in Navarre.
Funny Story: Owen is 3. He's Roomie's son. Sunday morning at church a member of church was walking through the fellowship hall and Owen yells...I SEE JESUS! and points at the man. He was quite serious that one of the rather portly members of the church was Jesus himself...
I notice Roscoe isn't here to defend himself...probably cause hes "investigating" a doughnut shop.
Poopsie? Since when?
And Navarre? I know where that is...I lived in Panama City for most of my life. Small world.

I just learned a cool trick to making a bigger harvest of my tomato weed. I just need to pluck the flowers off until it is about knee high. That allows the actual plant to get bigger/stronger before it's efforts go towards tomatoes. Cool huh? Or you all probably knew that, I'm usually the last to know. :spitlaugh:
Nancy Hanks Lincoln (February 5, 1784 – October 5, 1818) was the mother of Abraham Lincoln (the 16th President of the United States) and of Sarah Lincoln after her marriage to Thomas Lincoln. After the family moved from Kentucky to Spencer County, Indiana, Nancy Lincoln died of milk sickness at the Little Pigeon Creek settlement. That fall several people died of the condition at the village, including her maternal aunt and uncle Elizabeth (Hanks) and Thomas Sparrow, with whom Nancy had spent years as a child.

Milk sickness?? Was she lactose intolerant?
Bless her heart...I would die...I love me some milk!
I hope I'm not too late on saying hello to TeaBag. We HAVE missed you! :)
At work, but leaving now. Woo! I worked 45 min over because our truck was so big today. It's ridiculously hot in our backroom! Ahhh!
I'm about to head up to the church to do some paperwork..probably be there for hours again. Gotta get our project done ASAP! Please keep us in your prayers still. Things are slightly improved but there's still too much up in the air. Ya know, humans get involved and the feathers and tar are blown by the fan, haha.
Did anyone else read the story about the guy riding his bike to work in Panama City FL and a 300 pound black bear ran out of the woods and knocked him off his bike and then ran back into the woods?
My question is exactly how do you make that sound believable when explaining to your boss why you were late for work? lol
I'm not sure you could make that sound believeable. I didn't know they even HAD bears there.
The article said milk sickness was from eating meat or drinking milk from a cow that'd ate white snakeroot, I think it called it. Some sort of plant with a certain toxin in it that carried through to the milk and would kill ya. :freaky:

Lord.
John, how is your mom? Are YOU feeling any better? Saying a prayer for you.
She did much better over the weekend, not as well Monday, but better than part of the ast 10 days. I don't know if that makes sense. Its' been a topsy-turvy past 10-12 days.
She is in a hospital in a town about 30 miles from where I work, 40 from where I live. After talking to one of my two sisters who live closer two or three times yesterday before I went over, they called me as I was getting a bite to eat before going over.
After some preliminaries, they told me they had signed a DNR for my mother. They told me after the fact. While I had previously said I would not fight them over it (as in court) and they were apparently pushed by the doctor/hospital for it, I received no advance word. I told one of them last night that they are my sisters and I love them, but I would never forget it..
Unless Mom makes major improvemets, I'll be looking for something to do around the holidays, unless I just want to work. Speakingh of work, the general manager has been great. They arranged a two week rental for me after my truck partially burned, and they keep urging me to take some time off if I need to, and get some of the others to help me.
The Lord has blessed me, and I finally did get the insurance check yesterday on the truck.
John
Thanks for asking, and for the prayer. I still attempt to encourage others, and continue to smile at the children who seem
to like me despite not knowing me from VP Biden :)
I'm looking at taking off once or twice before starting 'fall' sports coverage next month. Looking at possibilities. One would be to go back to Pennsylvania next month. The other would be get a cabin, stock it with groceries, turn up the A/C and the phone off, and not come out. :)
I'm still feeling strangely odd, but surely it should not be odd that I feel strange! :)
John :waving:
Praying for you and your mother John!!!
Thanks, Brother!

Ugh. I would say I'll never eat that much again, but I know at some point in the future I probably will. But it was good.
I took a big lunch to work. Five hard-boiled eggs, mashed with a potato masher. One can sweet peas. Couple glops mayo. All mixed up. With that many eggs I don't know if it was a pea salad with eggs or an egg salad with peas. But it was a lot, it was good, and it was all gone by the end of supper time at work.
That was about 4 hours ago and I'm still full.
Just a quick hello. ;-)

I'm still where I've always been, down here in Tennessee. Come on over any time, but I recommend Sunday because you simply must meet my church family. I have a great church. :)
This week has been hectic to say the least. This whole thing with this other girl at church is kinda making me grumpy. I guess I need to pray more. It's just when someone attacks my character like they know me and they don't, it's hard not to be defensive in a mean spirited way. But talking to someone I really trust last night made me a feel a little better. I did so with out mentioning any names and she knew right away who I was talking about. So I guess I'm not the only one this girl isn't very friendly with. When I did see her last night though I smiled and just looked like my happy self. I won't let her see she got to me because then she'll know she won. And she didn't...Jesus did, because I still love her because she's a part of my very special church family!

I (over)slept to a total of six hours..still feeling off. I may go back home and sleep a bit more before going north. I just spoke with her on the phone, and she was significantly aware.
Thanks for the prayers and encouragement, everyone!

Morning, all. :hi:
Camp today!
I'm excited!
Gotta clean the kitchen and take a shower and get to the church by 11:30. I have two hours. Lol
Awesome Roscoe!
ISG, good for you taking the high road. :thumbsup2: If you'd shot back, it would make whatever she said seem true to others. People are going to lie about you sis, it hurts but it makes you better if you handle it right. We've all been there and will be again. If it's any consolation, it's not her you're really up against. It's the devil using her because you're becoming a threat to him! The light in you is exposing the lack of light in her and for whatever reason, instead of embracing that light, it makes her insecure and defensive... yes, without you actually doing "anything." God allows the people closer to us, like our church family, to expose and push our buttons that we might draw further towards Him. We don't make ourselves as vulnerable to the world. I heard a preacher call it dipstick ministry. :) When others reveal what we're low on. Nobody can make her or anyone else be anything, others can just rub us the wrong way and reveal what's really under our skin.
The fact that you would still love her and pray for her is the witness of your walk w/ Jesus. He's actually rewarding you openly for what you do in secret by establishing a good reputation for you. Thank God for good leadership that supports you and has discernment.

Good morning GP!
*heard at the breakfast table this morning*
"Honey, your egg mcmuffin is done."
*footsteps* "Um.. Babe, did you want one?'
"No. I just ate all egg sticking out so it was nice and neat for you."
*muffled laughter*
Apparently around here, I'm amusing. (http://smile18.com/imgs/girly/girly023.gif)

It's hard. But I know I'm doing what's right. I try not to "gossip" about her. Gossip is such a hard thing to over come, being female, I want to talk about other people and vent and whine, but that's not going to make the world any better. So I use examples and don't mention her by name. I can still make my point with out possibly hurting her more. But I guess it was pretty easy to figure out since I'm not the only one this has happened with. *sigh* She asked me to never pray for her again, also said that she lives only for herself, and that she doesn't need Pastor's approval for anything in her life, it's HER life. I guess that's what's hard...is I feel if she'd really give all of her life to Jesus then things might not feel so bitter in her life. So prayer is the only way I can hope to help.
I dunno... I've heard some men talking about people, and I have sometimes been tempted, so it's not just because you're a woman. (Strictly in my own experience) women do seem to gossip more than men though, and Paul even mentions women gossiping in the Bible. Of course Paul was a man...

Well. I am a blessed, but irritated man. Blessed because when I got home, my wonderful wife had a full meal- Itailian style Chicken Breast (her own receipe), green beans, corn, rolls, potato salad with cheesecake for dessert- waiting on me. Slightly irritated because the parts for the PAPM came in, but like a dunce, I forgot to pick up a $8 atenator belt. And of course, the old one is too stretched out to fit. So close to driving it again, yet oh so far away....... :pound: And I refuse to drive back to town for a belt. I'll pick one up tomorrow.
God is so good to me! While I'm thinking about it- God really kept His hand on Cheyenne today. It was Lou's day off, so her and the little darling slept in this morning. Chey was playing quietly in her room and Lou heard a "pop", then started smelling something. She ran into Chey's room where Chey was crying and found chey's nightlight and the socket blackened and a smokey odor wafting through the room. There was no fire, and a breaker was thrown. Chey was completely unhurt.
After I got home and was able to get Chey to admit what had happened, we discovered that she had been playing with a metal chain style cord extension off of one of the ceiling fans. (How she got that, I haven't a clue)
She had wrapped it around the nightlight, playing, and had apparently pulled the nightlight out of the wall socket just enough for the chain to make contact between the nightlight's prongs. My little one could've been electrocuted, but God had His hand on her. After the conversation we had tonight, I don't think my nosey little one will get near an outlet again. Lou said she spent most of the day crying, apologizing and praying. She told me she was praying Mama would forget to tell Daddy about it 'cause she didn't want a spanking. :laughhard:
Praise the Lord that she is unhurt!

Howdy y'all. Home from work, relaxing with a San Pellegrino orange drink - basically orange juice, sugar and soda water. Very good, but I can only get them when the salvage grocery has them. Last time I caught them with some I wiped them out.
five-oh: If my daughter ever did that (if I had a daughter, if I were even married...) she'd never do that again. Not because I would be mean, but because I would have such a horrified, distraught look on my face that it would probably scare the poor girl out of three years' growth. Talk about a recipe for a heart attack! As much as I gather you think of your daughter (well think of, dote on, what's the difference?) my compliments for not fainting right there.

We have been working on our checking, budget, ect, and next month was looking EXCEPTIONALLY slim. I had whittled down everything possible, but ends were still not meeting.
Reviewing our spreadsheet we use for everything, I noticed today that the beginning balance for next month was gathering data from the wrong cell...so it was showing us with a exceptionally lower beginning balance for next month. Enough to throw us way behind on every paycheck. I fixed the error, and the problem went away.
It may not mean much to anyone except us, but we are elated that next month is looking much better!

Well...... Let's just say I have a condition that makes me move with the grace of a drunk gorilla at times. Yesterday, was one of "those days". lol
The teeth issue has to do with the fact that I have roots that literally go all the way into my sinus cavities, and usually are curved. Which makes any time I get a tooth pulled a very painful experience. not sure why but last week was the most painful I ever remember. The fact that they pulled a tooth that other dentist said needed to be surgically removed was the biggest issue last week I suspect.
Off to Mobile, see ya'll after while.

"So where else can do it?"
"You couldn't get it done anyplace else until Monday."
"Yeah, but where else can do it when they do do it."
DUH, I get the "not till Monday" part, but what place DOES do it, doofus....sheesh...

You bunch of weirdos.
I don't understand how the week I relax the most that I end up sick. Missing church this morning. :(
Nathan's parents are in town. May God saturate them with His presence this morning in Jesus Name!
The horrible news was that a pretty close friend of mine from church's brother lost his ex wife and one daughter in a horrible car accident and the other daughter was in very critical condition. I haven't heard an update though. I've been kinda out of it lately. Lots of things going on so yesterday Roomie and I decided to find water...somewhere secluded. SUCCESS! My uncle (who doesn't really like me) built a pond to catch the tile water in the middle of some corn fields. So I called my cousin to see if we could go up there and he said he didn't see why not. Then I called my mom and she said she didn't see why anyone would care. So we found it and didn't think Roomies car would make it down the rye and oats water way through the field. Then we drove by my cousin's and he happened to be home, he got lost on the way to a wedding and decided to just go home..silly men not asking for directions. So we chatted with him and he said he was pretty sure her car would make it...So he followed us just to make sure we made it. It was AWESOME! The water wasn't frigid but it wasn't warm either and for "pond" water it was pretty clean. I could see my feet when I was up to my neck in water. I got scared by a piece of wood...I think we are going back out today after church. I was a little worried about "swimming" anywhere and still being modest. I know they make modest swimsuits...but I'm not much of a public pool person either way. So this worked out perfect. No one sees me, but Roomie, and I can swim to my little hearts content. I have dubbed the pond "Hoof Pond" because it's shaped like the print a cow makes when they walk....
That was really long winded...sorry...
ISG- sorry about your friend's loss....
Mellow Yellow and Queen Mel- sorry y'all are feeling poorly.
Yoop- Boy, is your life gonna change! Sorry I can't make it, bro. I really wanted to, but my checkbook does not agree. I hope y'all have a wonderful wedding and a better life, you deserve it.
And Cheese--- Weirdo! And I already have the library, I just need a trailer.... :laughhard:
Back at work and I think this catches me up..... Morning, all! :waving: Have a teriffic Lord's Day!
Went to church, came home.
Oh, I just love customer service.
One lady that bought a duck egg assortment on Ebay didn't get as many runner eggs in the mix as she wanted, and the runners proved infertile.... The way she said some things in what she sent me sounded snippy, and I wanted to light into her and feather her nest real good, but I refrained and just kept it short and plain....
In the past the runner eggs have been fertile. I have some in the incubator right now, if they aren't, then I said I'd refund her part of it, if they were fertile, then I'd send her some more..... I did just have some infertile ones I took out of the incubator, so they may well have a fertility issue, though they HAD been fertile recently, I hatched some end of June, and a lady that I shipped to hatched some earlier this month.
But, it's nature. Sometimes those things happen. Everytime somebody takes a nap, they don't wake up with a baby. *cough*
So....it can happen with birds too.
:P
What I perceived to be her "tone" in the email made me want to slap her face though. She had already emailed me after she first got the eggs because she didn't get as many runner as she got Welsh, and I had not guaranteed a certain amount of either, I advertised an ASSORTMENT that would include both, and it did. So she's a picky pooper to start with. I usually DO go half and half when I do that, BUT, the runners hadn't laid that many, so I could only include what the birds let me have.
Anyways.

Im listening to the most amazing EP right now!! My friend James Wilson just released his first project and it's SO good! He wrote all the songs, did all the vocals, all the instruments, and all the producing. It's five songs of pure geinus! I'm so proud of him!
I am TIRED!! Still haven't got all caught up on my rest yet from camp. But I would do it all again!
Merning.
Good church this morning. Looking forward to good church tonight too!
Cut up a roast and cooked it in my special secret (I should patent this) way, before church. Making some biscuits and gravy now, and some green beans. I am HUNGRY!!! Got an assignment I have to do in a little but. Then going to relax and talk to the most beautiful, wonderful, amazing, awesome, and beautiful woman in the world!

Just wanted to post here.....
Heather (Hetter) passed away this morning.
She loved her GP buddies even though she rarely made an appearance
Oh sweet Jesus....not what i wanted to hear before church....
Sorry Jerm...
This is one of those things that I will never understand the reasoning for. We sure could have used her around here a while longer.
Its a total shock...
yes it is. Just had a good convo with her before I left for Tulsa. I want to be a selfish brat and throw a kicking and screaming fit because I have no idea WHY this stuff happens and I don't like it one bit. I want my friend back. God knows and I know in the end I may see it a bit clearly. Right now----I don't but Im trying.
Tragic :sadbounce:
Sarba,
When you know funeral service details, please post them here.

Im transferring all my stuff over from iTunes now.
Sounds fun Mel!
What a warm week they said it's going to be. It's down to 95° from 100°, right now, I hope it cools down some for Nathan, the guys are playing softball right now.
If anyone would like to donate a pool right now, I'd accept. I'm not suffering though, we're in the AC. Nathan works outside all day, today he said it wasn't as bad cause the humidity wasn't as intense. He still comes home drenched though.

Not the wrong forum purple fuzzy, just wandered past the wrong Seth. This is his "Jekyll" side. "Hyde" Seth lets the "Jekyll" Seth out every once in a while just to keep people off balance.
I love people.
aww Seth your awesome!

/me really hates it when someone says "I will pick you up at 10am" then 11:30am rolls around and still no sign of anyone. ugh
Well, I have really gotten behind. I was visiting family and having family over. Then it was camp meeting time and I have been so busy I could not check ALL my mail. I was only able to check what was on my cell ready at hand without search. Anyways Would like to update a little by saying I sewed a cape of my own. I can't believe Mel slapped My chicken king!!! Also I literally cried at the thanks that 5-oh give everyone. That is all for now I have more to read to catch up. Then late tonight I will post some pics of camp. Unlike Mel (The Violent Queen And Charger Stealer) I got to stay the entire week of camp!!
Shew, lord. Unbelievably, I just turned the air up because it was actually too cold in here. Making my bones hurt. lol They had it down at like 75. As opposed to the usual of having it shoved up to 90, and me moving it down to about 80 to knock the humidity.
I didn't steal your charger! I simply unplugged it! Besides, I didn't even know you had come in from the late night. I woke up and looked at your bed and you wernt in it. How was I supposed to know that was your phone I unplugged!
:P
We have family that lives in KS supposed to stop by this afternoon. It's actually my mom's cousin that pastors in Ft. Scott.
How fun PF!
I've accomplished 1 thing in 3 hrs. lol transplanted some of my carrots because they were crowded.
My cayenne or chili? pepper plant has one little pepper on it! How fun is that?! My tomato plant is surviving the heat.. barely. Tomato plants are ugly.
Tomato plants are wonderful. One of the best meals in the world is a tomato sandwich with a homegrown tomato, about two inch thick slice. Mmmmm...

Split personality disorder?
Went to the dentist today. Hurting tonight but not anywhere near what I was after the last visit. Thank GOD!! Way to much nonsense and unwanted drama going on with way to many family members right now. My family needs GOD in a major way!! Been so angry with a few of them over the past week that my BP has probably been higher than the clouds a few times, including today before my dentist appointment. Good thing they didn't check my BP because if they had they probably wouldn't have touched me to do any work. lol

And this lugnut never has paid for his eggs yet....
If he does not get it done by tonight, then he is totally poop out of luck..... It's an expected 2 day transit time....so SHOULD get it by Saturday if sent tomorrow....any later, it will definitely sit over the weekend in who knows where and could totally ruin his stupid eggs..... People need to pay attention when they know they are buying something that's highly time-sensitive.

It was so slow at work today that I kept the work order I was working on for the first hour and did some on it in my free time. Made the day go by faster at least, and I got something done. :thumbsup2:
Family from Texas will be here tomorrow night. That is the good news. The bad news is when they leave Monday, they are taking MY GRANDMA with them! NOOOOOOO! :noo: :noo:
Haven't slept in what feels like weeks. I just slightly doze off and wake right back up. Finally gave in and took something to help me sleep, pray it works!
I woke up at 1240 when the people who were parked next door left (and left a lovely beer can in our grass). I woke up at 0120 thinking it was time to get up. Then at 0513 I woke up before my alarm went off. Shut it off and almost went back to sleep.
I don't get it. I could sleep all day...I mean ALL day...but I don't because I can't. Then at night when I can sleep...I can't! GRRR!
That's life.

I'm making pickled eggs for a guy at church. He is 14, and he went to camp with us last week. He mentioned on the trip that he LOVES pickled eggs, and he can never find good ones anymore. I told him that I make them and he nearly hugged me to death. So I'm making them now, and I'm gonna hide them in the bottom cabinet for a week so my dad doesn't eat them, then take them to Noah. He will love me forever. Lol

Chel is the one who makes good cheesecakes...she made THREE, count them, THREE when she was here last.
They were SOOOO good!!
Oh!! And I AM rubbing it in! ;)
And Chel and Hugging are synonomous.
We're pretty sure that Chel holds the title of World's Best Hugger.

Took mother up to Kmart to pick up a prescription for granny....her and dad had been up there earlier and got some stuff but the doc's office hadn't called that in yet...so then they finally said it was ready, but dad didn't feel good so mom had me take her up there to get it.
It's some pain meds, cause she fell and hurt her neck last week.... I think she's drugged up on the stuff they've been giving her....she acts about loopy....not quite normal. And she can't hear thunder....worse than normal it seems like, and she can't hear good anyways, but man, seems really hard of hearing now....don't know if the med's doing that or not...it actually says on it it can change your hearing or cause loss of hearing....who knows.
Anyways.
Fiddle dee dee.
Fiddle dee dum.
Is that like tweedle dee and tweedle dum?
Good LANDS it's hot. Get heat exhaustion just by sitting outside, not even doing anything.

It might sound bad ISG but when I have nights like that, I read my Bible and I always fall asleep doing so.. lol I like to read my Bible though, don't get me wrong!
Last night I got up and started packing stuff I could quietly. I took all the pictures off the walls and such. We. are. moving. Not sure where yet, but we are. God knows!
Chel is having a yard sale to raise money for her Haiti mission trip. She is still unloading stuff in this photo.

She's so elusive.....
Man....looks like a sell out.
It's hot. Changed shirts after tending the fowl for the morning round.
Eating a salad for breakfast.

Would that I were there. I need a crock pot.
What? No I'm not kidding - men can cook too.
Man, there is this new wonderful family in our church and the Dad is a former Marine. Well, he was a Dr. or something and has taken up making pants into skirts for his 2 girls and wife. He is SO good at it! I'm thinking about paying him to make some for Hannah since mine look like a 5 yr old did them. LOL
Since Hannah's tall, the amount I cut off the legs isn't enough to put in the gaps. So I need to get more material for that.
Lunchtime! And I'm being worked entirely too hard this week. Why, I've written three parking tickets and a report! :o Unbelievable. You'd think I came here to work... :nono:

go check out goodwills and such, around here you can ask them if they have what they call salvage, its where they put clothing that is not sellable, and you can get them to sell you messed up jeans for so much a bag. i can buy a $6 bag at ours and put as much as can fit into a white kitchen tie trash bag. you dont have to do it that often either.
The folks from TX are here and they brought their dog. Nice guy, quiet, unobtrusive, friendly. But while I have this bowl of ice cream in my hand he will not take his eyes off me. :o
The guy or his dog?
The dog is a nice guy.
This day is dragging...
What's it dragging?
I'm ready to go home and this afternoon seems to be going by soooo slow.
