1) No, this is not great! :pound: *mumble mutter*
2) This one I "can't" answer this morning. *sigh* But you already know the answers anyway.
3) Six hours, give or take, with Daddy. And before everyone's jaw drops on the floor.... We had to drive Surf's pickup up to Seattle to ship to HI (which took two vehicles, obviously, as we had to get back home, too), so we chatted on our cell phones most of the way up there. But... since it was Dad and me.... there were looooooooong periods of quiet, too. :) But it was nice knowing he was 'there'.

John :waving:
You. :D

John
I think that perhaps the aforementioned gentleman is very likely need of some sleep!

Nope. It just means you had a crummy day. And no apology was needed. Truly.

Yes. For instance:
Jason--the scary guy (but I haven't seen him in quite a while. *sigh of relief*)
Bob--the strange guy (gave me a set of CDs of a marriage seminar)   And btw.... the answer is still no, Bob. LOL
Robert--the nice UPS guy (who throws the heavy boxes closer to my counter, so I don't have to lift them)
Stephen--the sweetly obnoxious guy (who is finally taller than I am, and ever so proud of the fact)
Shall I continue?
Oh, and then there's the guy that I wish was in my life. Does he count if he's not currently in my life, but I wish he was? ;)

I _am_ happy about that! :D Surprise phone calls are fun.... especially on 'free' days. And especially when they have to do with Vespas. ;)
Here's my happy list so far:
I'm happy that I have a goofy sticker on my shirt. (It's making me smile, even if no one else is smiling about it. LOL)
I'm happy that I have today off work.
I'm happy that I was able to have a mocha with Mama and the kids today.
I'm happy that I got to go for a walk.
I'm happy that it's gorgeous fall weather outside.
I'm happy that God is good.
I'm happy that He loves me.

I recently saw "Grease" in theatres and it was so amazing! So, if you could see one old film on the big screen - which would it be? How about your top five?
(I'm not sure if you go to movie theaters, but if you DID! ;) )
*smile* Thanks, Jaybee. You're heartwarming.
Re: the question... I don't make a big deal about it, but I've chosen not to go to theaters. (I don't look down my nose at friends who choose differently, but I don't feel comfortable doing that for myself.) BUT.... ;) I'm quite fond of The Sound of Music, Sarah Plain & Tall, and Anne of Green Gables. Those probably don't quite qualify for the category you wanted, but those are the first that came to mind.
:beret:
Cars would be awesome on the big screen too...
(BTW, you answered that question with the way I feel about it too... Naturally!)

Sounds good to me. New England has weird names for things.
Short story: I went to a restraunt, in Boston, once and asked for a malted, thinking in NY they say malted instead of malt like we do. Anyway, they didn't know what I meant, so I described it. They said, "OOOOOHHHHH you mean a frappe." So I had a frappe (Pronounced FRAP).
A few weeks later, I went to Friendlys Icecream Parlour and asked for a frappe. They said, "OOOHHHH That's a fribble!"
Most people didn't believe me when I told them that, so when I went back to Boston a couple of years ago, I went to Friendlys and got a fribble and saved the cup. NOW I HAVE PROOF! :laughhard:

That was an inside joke about a story I wrote from a bizarre incident from that town. Coincidentally, that same town just had an instant where a guy avoiding law enforcment dumped his dope in the bathroom trash can of a convenience store I jut went over to, to get a candy bar.
I'll PM you the story about what happened at the bakery.

Other than having the order of the trips exactly backwards.... yeah, you know me pretty well. ;) I'd also send my Dad and Mom on a much-needed three month vacation. The rest would go into missions of some sort.

what is your favorite bible story and why?
Ooo, that's a tough one, Barb. :) So many good ones. *thinking hard* (I'll assume you mean stories other than the story of the Good News itself.)
The story of Joseph would certainly be towards the top of my list, because I admire his strength and character in the face of such incredibly difficult circumstances. Every time I read it I feel encouraged that God can take all the things that hurt me, all the things that I struggle through, all the times people mistreat and misuse me (even false accusations), all the times I don't understand... and still turn them into good things in my life.
Esther's story would also be a favorite, because even though it never actually mentions God, His hand is seen all the way through. This one reminds me that even when I don't see Him working... He is. And I can trust Him even when I don't understand.
Funny. Both of those are from the Old Testament. *thinks again* Favorite New Testament story would probably be Mary with the alabaster box, because I can identify with a number of things from her story.

awesome thoughts. goes right along with what seems to be a theme with the other favorite stories :thumbsup2:
Ya know what, Barb? That's funny you caught the 'theme' going on in the answers. I don't know that I would've picked up on that, but.... I've been thinking lately about how people's lives may play out differently, but underneath all the surface stuff we all still struggle with the very same issues.
:beret:
Yep. What she said.
yeah, normally what makes us struggle so is, we compare our insides to others outsides. when we look at other people all we can see is whats on the outside, and they appear to us to have it all together, then we compare that to our insides, and feel like something must be wrong with me, because i cant look on the outside like everyone else.
being alone so much like i am right now, i tend to feel that i am so much worse than everyone else, i must be really messed up, because from where i stand, everyone else has it so much more figured out.
but if i take time to listen to what others are really saying, (sometimes without saying) then i would know, i am afterall, normal.

Thats alot on the lines of what Mom and I discussed recently... and what Ruby and I have talked about recently too.
Not to mention that Bro Shambeau was talking about it this morning as well...

Awesome!
if you were stranded on a desert island with no way to be rescued anytime soon, what three things would you want to have with you?
My Bible, my Dad, and his hunting knife

:beret:
If you could visit any time period from history, which time period would you visit, and why?
Probably medieval times, for the silly reason that the upper-class ladies wore really beautiful clothes.
Another would be the civil war era. The answer to 'why' is more serious on this one: I could see myself involved in freeing slaves. I don't necessarily agree with all the methods that were used, but the idea of setting captives free is one I believe in.

Blah. There are a thousand and one things I would love to change about myself. The hardest thing would probably be my perfectionistic tendencies. Worst-tea-wise--I'd have to say it was something totally nasty that David tried to make, using a plant from his garden. :yell: :shudder: Tasted kinda like he'd brewed an artichoke. A rancid one, at that. *shudder*
The worst 'normal' tea that I've had--Mmm... probably chamomile. I know, I know, everyone else likes it... but I think it's icky. :yell:
