I could say, "Well... More loopy than usual." But that would be far too predictable, so I won't say it.

They finally said Dad gets out of rehab in a week and a day. I should probably wash the dishes some time between now and then.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Woohoo glad it all went well, so far. Now comes the fun part lol.

SO glad it's Friday. I work Mon/Tues next week and then I'm off until the 28th for our 3rd anniversary.
Not that we have any plans lol but at least we'll be off of work.

Shew. Some of the worst pain I've ever had. Today has been rough. But I am surviving

Day 3. Pain has varied from off the charts to not bad. Had Chey help me get dressed, kinda, and take me to church, as we had a guest preacher. Glad I went but the pain has increased...

What did the doctor say about your shoulder though? Complete success, it will heal up good as new?

I was told it was successful....took 3 and a half hours. Allegedly when I came out of anesthesia the first words I said were "Blessed be the name of the Lord" which made the doctor laugh.
Today .. be rough.

Dad is coming home Saturday. I guess I should wash the dishes...

Single guy life, y'know.  :smirk2:

Probably should throw out these 47 empty gallon water bottles too. They sure do pile up after a few months.

Shew. Sleep and lay around. I am thankful for the pain is much easier. difficult to type with one hand. Difficult to do ANYTHING with one hand.
Had Chey take me to town Tuesday... bought an entirely too expensive power lift chair since I cant lay down and was worried I would injury the shoulder trying to get out of the recliner I had. Much easer to rest although true rest is difficult. Im sleeping alot but its in one and two hour intervals.. :pound:

I keep telling myself that I'm thankful for options.
Maybe nothing sounds good to eat but I have food choices.
Maybe you didn't want to spend money on a chair, but it was possible. It's no fun to be in pain from surgery, but now you're on the mend and things should be better soon, instead of just getting worse...

Sometimes I think how it would have been in the 1800s and I'm really thankful for now.

So true.
I am very thankful for the blessings. It is a huge blessing to be able to have the surgery and to have enough time saved that I won't miss a penny of pay too...

So the workaholic thing worked out for you in the end. That's neat.

Dad came home Saturday. I was of course kidding about the dishes. I had already been washing them up, all week.  :biglaugh:

He sure is glad to be in a house instead of a hospital or nursing home rehab. Seems the other guy in his room has stomach cancer and never can get comfortable. "The only time I could get any real sleep was the four hours when he went away for chemo. If a nurse or a visitor came in while he was gone and woke me up, boy I was so mad..."
