I really hope it helps that pain and stuff for her too. That's crazy that's it's had to go on this long. :smirk2:
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

I feel like I've worked 10 days this week.

It seems like it should be a lovely day today but it it's cold and in the 40's.

Done cleaning the church.  I felt that attendance record! Lol. I bet there isn't a church around where the people actually follow the ordinances of not bringing food, drink, candy in the sanctuary.

The only drink that comes in our sanctuary is water.....if food/candy is in it's usually mints, or goldfish (something a parent brings for a small child).
But you'd NEVER even know any of the above was in the sanctuary. People don't leave it. That's uber disrespectful.

It is.  However we have people from some pretty rough lives that are still growing.  Plus we had around 200 guests on Sunday.  So many have no clue about respect in church these days.

Once, because she had seen other moms bring snacks like goldfish , she did not make a distinction and brought her child with some
sort of egg mcmuffin thing and a pop. :/  And moms here think they clean it up but there are still remnants.  The idea that kids need a snack during church is stupid, especially when they get one in ss/nursery.

I'm really curious what the othet church cleaners of a congregation that size has to say?

MsJennJenn

Well we run around 275. I still have never heard of people bringing food/drinks to a church, visitor or not.
We have lots of visitors often too, not always savory lol, had a homeless lady for a while-at times disruptful but even she never brought food/drink.

Maybe it's the area. Although still think it's weird. Lol
I've visited the Graham's church up there and it's pretty large.

We have parents who sneak goldfish or cheerios in if they have toddlers.  Otherwise the only thing is Grandma might sneak a mint from her purse.  I'm the one who vacuums when it's my family's turn to clean the church (we take it by weeks here) and I rarely find food debris.  There is a no-food-or-drink rule for the sanctuary, and if an adult sees a kid bringing in a can of soda or a snack he is free to remind said kid of the rule.  Politely of course.

If you vacuum you can always tell which pews have kids though, even without food detritus.  The floor has a lot more shoe-bottom stuff there.

Hmmm....my mama woulda slapped the taste out of my mouth if I'd brought gum in the sanctuary.  :P She did let us have cheerioes, that kinda thing. Morning all. I am at work...feeling somewhat better. Still ain't one hundred percent, but much better than I was...

After meeting Roscoe several times, I would say hes at way below average in some areas, above average in others.  All in all, i would say hes probably at a solid 60%.  :ugly:

Hannah is so funny.  She was very stressed about her math portion of testing.  She finished, reviewed with 8 minutes to spare.

Amen.  I like to sit on the porch, or carport, and watch it rain.  With either a cat in my lap or a dog beside me to pet.

Tattle to Seth!     :laughhard:

Won't do any good...Seth hasn't been reading the thread! :up2:

I've been in my room laying in my bed all day. Not cause I'm sick, but because dad and I are arguing again, and he doesn't want me to do ANYTHING for him, so I'm not. AT. ALL.

I'm fixing to fix me a bowl of tomato soup to eat for lunch. But I'll eat in my room. In isolation. :smirk2:

My poor little brother-- they mistreat you something pitiful, don't they? Bless your little heart. I would give you a great big hug, but sorry honey, i don't want to catch what you have.  Not that it would really do you any good, but you can always tattle to me. And if they didn't pick on you, you would think they were mad at you!  And as for the solid 60%, i think you rate a little higher than that---let's say at least  85% possibly even 90. :wink2:

We had around 150 in church Sunday. Cheerios are allowed for the wee ones in the sanctuary.

I get along great with my ex-mother-in-law now. I hadn't seen her in 5 years. She goes to church again too. She was telling another lady in the restroom that she believes in the Apostolic Doctrine, but not for her because her hair looks 'bad' grown out.  But it's ok. I'd honestly take her over Brandon's mom at this point.

Mom and dad left for a couple of hours today...and I discovered that Furby won't eat the gum even hidden in pieces of cheese.

I may or may not have let him have three pieces of moms gherideli (sp?) dark chocolate squares.

Now we wait.

:hypocrite:

Meanwhile...we had an awesome prayer meeting tonight! Wow! I personally broke thru a few things. :hyper:

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Lynx

Dark chocolate in moderation won't hurt a dog.  Three squares of dark chocolate is... um... not moderation, especially given the body mass of said dog.  I would be concerned.

Did you pray through and get forgiveness for trying to kill the dog?   :hypocrite:

Nope.

If he actually does die, I'll repent. Otherwise I was just giving the dog a nice treat.

Can you truely repent over the death of said dog? Since repentence, I always thought, meant not only that you are sorry for it- (you wouldn't be) but that you won't do it again (you would should the need arise, especially now that you know it works)..I just don't see Mel feeling the appropriate twinges and convictions to repent.  :biglaugh: :P :biglaugh:
Morning all. Even Oklahoma Nutbox. I is back at work...thank God it is my Friday. Sadly, it is misting rain. Bah. I hate rainy days. And last night, since I am sharing and venting, I was, as usual, sick as a green dog. Seems mornings I'm feeling decent, after noon to eveningish I feel like crud.  This happened to be the time that the nurse for our new life insurance policies showed up to do a medical screening. Lord. She probably will recommend they not write the policy because I looked well past half dead. And to make my day worse, the vampire had to draw blood. I hate needles. Not a good thing.
