Books?  Someone say books?

*Psalm_97 perks up

What kind of books?   :teeth:

I sent all those records to you media mail. Came out a lot cheaper than regular price.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

I'm gonna have to find some way to hide text better.
Like this perhaps?  Worth a shot.
This is only a test.

You're a bad shot. :P

To borrow a catchphrase from Seth:  Ugh.

Who's idea was the "sunrise service" anyway?  I am NOT in a mood fit to be in public right now.  Unfortunately the community is having the sunrise service at our church this year, and our new pastor is preaching.  (And our elder pastor making breakfast.  He was patting out sausage into patties last night.) If it were any other, drier, deader, quieter church I would not be getting up this early because I would surely fall asleep during the service.

Oh well, I have dark chocolate.  Let's get on with it.

So I wikipedia'd "sunrise service."  I'm still not happy about this.  Stupid Moravians.   :tantrum:

Oh, Lord. Somebody just shoot me already. I'm back at work, thanks to coffee and sinus medication...my head cold can't decide if it is truely a head cold or a chest cold- I just want it gone. In addition my shoulder still hurts, to the point I am considering a doctor's visit. And on top of it all, one of my favorite preachers is visiting my church today ( Bro John Proctor) and I have to work. Due to the 2 o'clock service, I will get there just about the time it concludes. Hopefully, I'll be in time for potluck, as if I can taste anything with this cold. Bah.

And yes, this whole post may sound Cheeselike. Live with it.

If you get to see Bro Proctor, tell him I said hi!

Roscoe:  Ah, is that why that song was out of tune last night?

In local news... well... I might possibly be halfway sorta glad I went to the sunrise service.  Maybe.  Kinda.  Our pastor did a great job preaching on "what do you see when you see the empty tomb?"  I hope it didn't scare anyone - most of the people who were there aren't used to pentecostal preachers, nor are they accustomed to hearing people in the congregation backing him up.

Lynx

I just whipped up something interesting.  The reason I came home between sunrise service and normal morning service (instead of taking a quick nap on the pew) is because I still had to make some deviled eggs.  The problem is I never know what I'm going to put in them until I look through the fridge and cabinets and decide.  Today I used a bit of garlic, a bit of dill relish, an awful lot of dill weed and... gorgonzola cheese.  Just a bit of cheese, but a little gorgonzola goes a loooooooooong way.  I tested this brew on my uncle Fred and my grandmother, and they both pronounced it the best deviled eggs ever.

If I tell people there's gorgonzola in them, they won't know what that is.  If I tell them there's a kind of blue cheese in there, they won't eat the eggs.  I have decided to pretend I didn't even make them, just leave the eggs and let the people in charge of setting up the dinner put them out.  That way nobody will know I made them, and won't ask what's in them, so I won't have to scare them or lie.  :hypocrite:

But you dont smell much better.

I was so tired today as well...we had phenomenal church this morning, and then I went to Subway with Ann to eat lunch. I had lunch already prepared at home, ready to eat, but she wanted to eat with me and offered to buy since I didn't have any money, so I went with her. Came home, took a MUCH NEEDED three hour nap, and just got up and ate the roast and veggies that mom and dad had for lunch that I had prepared. It was yummy.

Mom and dad went to WM, and I'm here alone with the dog.

Hmmm. Too bad I didn't get an Easter basket loaded down with chocolate this morning. :smirk2: As it is I dont have any chocolate in the house to share with this precious sweet puppy. :hypocrite:

Guess I'll go clean the kitchen...I wonder if hersheys syrup is bad for dogs...

What's up Geepers?!?!

Just wanted to say my ex, his wife, the pastor and myself dealt with some issues and we are all on good terms now. Brandon and I went to church there this morning. Brandon wouldn't go to the front but there was definitely some tears shed so it's a step I'm glad that's happened. He likes that church the best and its in the city we live in.

Granted I may end up moving still. Brandons mom got fired from her job. If she goes too long without one or unemployment I can see Mike letting her, the twin 6 year old boys, and her 4 dogs move out here. I will NOT be staying here if that happens. Dr Allen has said I can set up my own apartment downstairs at work with my animals in tow or I'll be heading to Southern MS. Hopefully the Lord hears my prayers and His will is for that woman to NOT live here.

Be great my party peeps!

I'm telling you Mel that stinkin' dog will just be replaced by another stinkin' pet.  Train that dog yourself. You be the pack leader.

Today was hmmm...I don't know the right word but I'm pretty sure the devil was mad that we were singing about the blood and that pastor was preaching about it.

We broke our record attendance though.  713.

   That's awesome!!!  Woohoo!

You realize between our two churches we had almost 800 people in church today?!  WOW. That is exciting!

MsJennJenn

Went to Holiday Youth Convention Friday night. Was fun.

On the way home Saturday, my two friends I had a prayer meeting for one of the friends. She's dealing with a messy break-up, and some friendships involved in the break-up as well and she just couldn't take it anymore. She is 18, and one of my very best friends. Backslid as a teenager, and got back in church full speed ahead right around 17. So proud of her. I spoke to her, and then prayed out loud...God's peace was all over that car!

Great Easter today! Packed house. A guy almost got the Holy Ghost. A bunch of my young adult guys prayed realllly hard. SO proud of them!
Feeling refreshed, and revived. Excited to see what God has in store for our Young Adult group. We girls are starting a girls bible study. We're doing Romans 1-7 for the first one.

No service tonight, so it's been a quiet evening! Lovely!
