I think once I have my car and the other loan paid off I'll be much happier. Of course, then I'll have to get some repairs done to my car but THEN I'll be able to pay off my credit cards. I don't have all that much debt but enough so that I'm not able to do whatever I want with what I make.

Roscoe

We've got a couple more years of slogging torwards debt free status....but it is getting better all the time.  Chey's private school really slowed us down, as well as my Dad's dying three years ago. We took on some debt that I shouldn't have, just so I could be a sentimental fool and keep his pickup......Boy have I regretted that. :sadbounce:

I probably have a few years 'til I'm completely out of debt (credit cards, student loans, etc.) but it'll be muuuuch better when I am.

And Roscoe - I kind of know how you feel. You might regret it now but at the time I'm sure you didn't think you would.

At the time, it was someting I HAD to do....I guess in a way I was hanging on to the only thing I could of his. Now- well, I regret the position it put my family in. And I actually dislike the truck- alot. In fact if it weren't for me being so bullheaded and the fact it was daddy's it'd be gone.  :laughhard: It is the exact opposite of anything I would've bought. It is an automatic, I prefer a standard. It is burgandy, I like blue. It has every piece of diamond plate stainless they make on it- I'd rather it didn't have any. It has big ole honkin' mudgrips on the back that I wouldn't put on anything I own......If it weren't Daddy's, it'd be slammed to the ground, rollin' on some sweet rims, all the chrome gone, bed cover, roll pan, shaved handles- everything I've done to my previous minitrucks.
But alas, I fear my sister or my dad's ghost would lynch me if I did that...LOL

You don't have to look both ways first if you are just hugging someone... Right?

I still don't think that looks like a hug in my book...
No, because the other party is still breathing, apparently... :smirk2:

Melodya, we haven't done that, but after hearing about my brother's and SIL's idea, I'm wondering if we should. I really like the idea. :)

Are you hugging someone in the middle of the street?

Went to B&N for the first time in a long time.  Really thought I had a membership card... turns out it was Borders.

I realized walking around with Nathan that this was practically a date.  lol  Evenings are busy these days so much so that we haven't went off and done anything for a while.

There is a "Christmas Warehouse" that sets up shop here every year.  Their ornaments are very inexpensive and unique.  Maybe there is something like that there?  Or maybe you all can make your own?

I heard on the radio today that one family's Christmas tradition was to wait till Christmas to put baby Jesus in the manger and then read the story.  The youngest was telling the story and how that when it was finally her turn, when she had gotten "big enough," she was so proud, reverent, and excited to do the honors.  So cute.   Traditions are so precious.

Do you know just how many :attackhug: you ruined? Lol!

How did _I_ ruin any of them?! I was just innocently asleep when I received my first Chel :attackhug: !!

How is it my fault?

I'm huge on traditions. But that's one I couldn't do. *lol* Having Baby Jesus missing from the manger during the whole of the Christmas season would just feel.... wrong.

Mel, I have come to the conclusion that you and I collect awesome friends. :)

How do I collect awesome friends?  I have some, but I can always use more.
