I was in a minor crash Saturday evening in Biloxi, but wound up out of the truck rolling on the concrete. My right arm & shoulder are bothering me a fair amont this morning.

Oh goodness, John!  You didn't go get checked out yet?

Trying rabbit will be an adventure then!  My friend has aguy at church that promised her one as soon as it's cold enough for them to be safe to eat, I guess.  He's the one that makes youtube clips on how to cook wild game  that I posted a while back.

Isaac, I wasn't being snarky either when I asked about the comics.  I've never had the alt-text.

Biloxi. A mere 18.6 miles from me. Thanks for stopping by. :sadbounce:
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

John, I hate that you were in a crash....hope you are doing better now.
Morning, all. I am back at work on my Friday. I managed to remember to put out some pork steak to thaw this morning, so that will probably be supper. If I'd remembered to thaw it yesterday, I'd have it in the crock pot, but I didn't. Oh well.
Church was great last night. A spirit of restoration filled the church....was truly an awesome praise service, and went hand in had with the message. And that's my sharing. Y'all have a great day.

Seth:  Those birds all look very cold.  Or maybe it's just the way the sunlight looks... it looks like a very cold day outside there.

It was cold enough that the ground didn't thaw out yesterday anywhere that the sun didn't hit it.  But they are pretty much unphased by the cold.  They will hop in water and soak and take a bath in literal ice water.

These pics are from January of 2011.....

Was this venture successful?  Did the ladies kiss your booboo as planned?

Kkay - I post vague stuff all the time, both here and on FB. If people want to ask about it, fine, but I make no promises that I'll answer inquiries. And it doesn't bother me in the least when other people do the same. If I'm curious about something, I'll ask, but I respect their right to not share details. Sometimes it helps to just get something off your chest, even if you can't share what/who it's about. *shrug* And yeah, I drive a lot of people nuts with that. But honestly, I really don't care.

Thanks, I feel normal now :)

Things are going well over here. That *thing* I don't like to give details about is going to come back up in January because I'm going to bring it up and see how it goes. And that's all the vagueness I have for today.

I'm hoping the holidays are good. Found out my brother's ex-wife had one of their sons out at Wal Mart at 11:30 last night. He's only 7! And he has a medical condition and doesn't need to be out in the cold AT ALL let alone at 11:30 at night!  :flamingmad:

Beautiful sunrise today, light pinks & blues. I'm off to see a friend today.  She's my age but in a nursing home kind of place.  Idk what her ailments are but she doesn't get out much.  We might go to Hobby Lobby & look at all the Christmas stuff!   It's been a long time since I've gone there.

It'd be SO hilarious if they stayed in the water long enough and got froze in the water. hahahahaha

:eek!:

How cruel.... :P

That would take a while in most cases.

It is possible that ducks could freeze fast if they sit on a pond overnight or something.

Normal?!  Nope, sorry, you gotta go.  We don't allow normal people around here.  :P

Seth/Jenn:  About those frozen fowl, I did hear about one flock of ducks that landed on a lake, stayed overnight and got frozen into the lake.  As the story goes, a hunter fired one shot at one duck and the whole flock took wing... and took the lake with them.

My tax refund finally arrived!  Yay!

But, it's a shallow victory, because I'm in the whole deeper than it is anyhow, so......  :smirk2:

kkay

:p to Isaac

Trying to keep thoughts outta my head while I'm at work. Things are getting better in that department. Need to go clean out my bowl from my soup.

Speaking of tax refunds, I can't wait 'til mine next year. Also, I think I might be getting a raise in April. Yay! Then my car and another loan will be paid off in June - August.

Next year should be a good year ;)

MsJennJenn

Just applied for an admin job at a company I have like 3 friends working.
The lady has my resume/letter of interest in her inbox. She's already emailed my friend asking about me.

I've interviewed with them before. So pray folks pray.
It's also literally like 5 minutes from my new apartment!~!! Be a SUPER DUPER blessing. Seeing as I'm driving 30 mins one way now to work!

Wait, wait... if you already interviewed for this job, and they don't have a record of it, they had to email your friends who work there to find out who you are - do you really want a job there?

Or is this a GOOD sign, that they need your admin skills?

Speaking of getting out of debt... my brother and his wife (they've been married about 3 yrs-ish) have made it a tradition to get a new ornament every year. Something of significance or memory from the past year. This year, they got TOTALLY out of debt (well, other than buying a house, but that's kind of in its own category). So they're shredding a credit card and putting it inside a clear glass ball. :) I think that's pretty cool. By the time they're married 20 yrs, they'll have an entire history of stories hanging on their tree. :)

What do you mean they don't have record of it? I never said that.
I said I've interviewed there before. For a different position.

Getting out of debt is HUGE!  I told Nathan I'll feel more Christian when we are out of debt... lol

Ruby, that is so sweet.  We started doing that in 2008 when we took our first family vacation.  I wish we had always done it.  Definitely makes decorating the tree so nostalgic.  Do you do something similar?
