Well dad went home after morning service... and took all the remaining bread with him.  So three guesses what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Anyone want a loaf, come on over.

Things are working out. Paige and I'll be at the beach at seperate times. So no fighting. Also my parents are insistant that we take dads car. Mostly they are worried my suv will explode and we couldn't afford the tow bill. Lol.

We are invited to a holiday meal/get together with a couple from church.

Fixing to jump in the shower. Then help dad call FEMA, and then we are supposed to go out to the house and see what we can see today. Maybe go inside.

Gonna be strange. Lord give me strength. I'm gonna be the first one in. Dad will not be allowed to go cause of his wound still open. At least until I see what all is there, and mom...well she will be in her usual place...in the bed.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Roscoe: Well shoot, that scraps my plan.  I was going to suggest you use this nice vacation day to do a little wandering, maybe to the east... you'd get here about halfway through the second bread rising and the first batch would be out in time for you to take some home.

MelodyB:  Move north.  It's a lot drier up here, but not so dry that we have to stop watering the lawns.  Where I live we have been neither flooded nor parched for as long as I've been here.

In fact if most of the people on this forum would move east and/or a bit north it would make me happy.

It'll happen some day....Maybe I'll have to buy another Harley or something that gets great gas mileage, but I am sure it'll happen. Besides, Rusty ain't never wandered inta Tennesee yet....

Dad is on hold of course, and Im using the computer in the office. We are using the church land line, cause when we use the cell phones and get placed on hold, the call usually drops after 10 or 15 minutes and the approximate hold time is 25 minutes. lol so after several attempts to call, we decided that we needed to use the church phone.

Isaac, Im supposed to be here for now, even after all the crazy things that have happened to us this year, I do not have a release from God to move anywhere else. I belong HERE. If God gives me the command to move, I will. But until then, I cant.

Dommage, but understand that.  And my place is here, for the same reason, so I can't move out west and slightly to the south to be central to where the cool people live.

But I have a great family and a wonderful church family, so it's not all that bad.

So the ladies from Hardee's informed me today that she has hired me and I start on Wednesday at 7am.
So I do not have to go in on Tuesday, which means I can clean a house with my aunt and get some money, it will not be much but it will supply me with the gas I need until my first check! GOD IS SOO GOOD.

My brother used to work at a Hardee's.  Every night he'd take home cheese covered meat patties, bacon, etc to feed to the dogs.  That was a good time in our dogs' lives.  :)

Mel... *tight hug*... I wish I was there to help you today.  :sadbounce:

Heather, what is up with car issues for both you and me this year? Good grief. It's been nuts. I have come to the conclusion that your car(s) know my car(s) and that they (all) hate both of us.

Randomness: I have also come to the conclusion that the whole "bless/smite" thing is a popularity contest. And it doesn't matter which one (or both) of the numbers is higher - it just means people like you.

In theory it indicates who posts really good or really bad posts a lot.  In practice it usually is just a popularity contest.

Here, though, it's an opportunity to smite people.  Or that's what it seems to have devolved into.
