Well I posted last night before I went home, but apparently, it didn't post.

Had a really long and incredibly tiring day yesterday. But it was fun...well the fun parts. Wanting to strangle a certian youth member who was annoying me ALLLL DAY. And she wouldn't leave my side. Even when I TOLD her to go do something else, she refused and made me annoyed. OY.

But all is well, we sold the Donuts, and made $320 profit. Not to mention the fun time we had at the festival thing. And I also got some awesome Livi time, and a sweet heart to heart late night conversation with Krissy.

This morning I am worried about someone else. Who ISN'T at church today. *sigh*
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

We had beef tips and rice for lunch.  Yummy.

We had 3rd Sunday dinner at church today.  "Dinner" in this region = lunch.  Chicken and dressing, green beans, corn, rice and mushrooms (always vanishes quickly) and some other stuff.

And then there was a delay because one of the bus kids hid.  Kept 13 other bus riders waiting while I enlisted some help and searched the whole church, which is a good bit of searching - ask Chel, she's seen it.  I didn't tell her parents but I did make her apologize to the rest of the bus for making them wait.

PARTY!!!  :bustamove: :disco:  :partyballoons:

It's been more than two months now since I started teaching children's church Sunday nights, so I decided it was time for a party.  The poor kids have been listening to me yak long enough, they need a break.  So I checked in with God, then asked Sis. Kim if she was doing anything of the sort this morning (don't want a party in Children's Church Sunday morning AND night) and got clearance to proceed.

The amazing thing is the brownies... um, cake... er, something... turned out well.  I started out with a brownie mix because I don't know any brownie recipes that I've personally tested and found to be good yet.  But you can't get a brownie mix that makes a full 13X9 pan of brownies, at least not here, so I added a bit of flour, sugar, milk, cocoa and another egg to the mix.  Then just for kicks I unwrapped 20 little mini candy bars (assorted variations on chocolate) and sank them down in the batter.  Baked, cooled, sliced, tasted... wow, it was good!

I'll serve them with ice cream on top and we should have a good night.

Went to church came home.

Dad came out when we got to the house about to cry half the time and acting like he was about to have a heart attack saying there'd been a bad accident at my sister's house and a kid was hurt....

So the deal was, this neighbor guy (they have a trailer on the next road over and they just spend weekends or vacation there, don't actually live there) and his two little boys had stopped at her house for something...  He got out of the truck, kids were still in it.  Truck comes out of gear and starts back over the hill backwards (this is becoming a theme at her house for things running backwards over the hill lately :freaky: ).  The dad can't catch the truck.  It plows through the gate, and as it does, the youngest kid, 4 years old, falls out...Don't know if he was trying to open the door and get out cause he was scared, or what....  But he falls/is thrown out as the truck goes through the gate, he kinda hit the fence or something, but that's where he landed injured....  The other little boy, 6, remained in the truck as it flew through the pasture and slammed backwards about dead center of the tailgate, which was down, into a light pole down towards the road, and broke the light pole off.  Truck stopped with the stump of the light pole against the back axle.  Light pole fell down alongside the truck.  Little boy in the truck was fine.

My sister called 911 and they came and got the other little boy...he had some cuts, but none of those were too major after he was cleaned up....  He did break his left arm and leg and is going to have to have surgery on them (or one or the other, don't know exactly what it will consist of) though.

I will post pictures of the wreck here in a minute....

After, during, and/or while all this was transpiring...one of the fire trucks that was there broke down in the middle of the road and it was forever before they got it fixed and were able to leave. lol

Lord, what a day.....  All I did was come onto the scene after the fact.  My sister about had a conniption fit though....

When it happened, the kids' dad told her to go over and get his dad who was over at their trailer or wherever...so she jumped in her vehicle and flew across the yard INTO the powerlines that were now dangling there that she didn't realize in panic and haste were there....  Tore the antenna up on her car....made a few marks that can be buffed out....  Didn't fry her at least...nor did it fry the kid(s) or anyone....

Lord.

So I was down there doing one thing or another for a long while....came back and had a BBP while ago.

All that running around can't be good for a person.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... I squeezed most of a bottle of Torani fudge syrup over the top of this cake/brownie/whatever.  Not that most of the kids will be able to appreciate the difference between Torani and Hershey syrup but, being me, I had no Hershey's syrup on hand.  And I never will.

It started out up there by the house....

That pole used to be standing where the truck is sitting now....

Nice impression in the tailgate....

Broke down firetruck....

I'm just glad the kid who bailed out was okay.

The tailgate looks about the same as the front of my car did when I went off-road and wrapped my Ford Escort around a light pole.  The engine block finally stopped it.

Bet they'll never get that tailgate closed again.

Dinner went well. I love loving on people. The kids want to come back next Sunday & come for a playdate and 1said he wants to BBQ when it warms up again, next summer! LoL

This house is not pretty. It needs work.  But I have said for a few years that if we got more space, that I would use it for God.  My house is clean so how can I not brimg people in & love them?  How can I not use it for fellowship?  I must!

Well the first ever Children's Church Sunday night party was a success.  We have had many Children's Church parties on Sunday morning but I thought it was time to break up the routine Sunday night.  They liked the brownies/cake/whatever-it-was, especially with ice cream on it, and there was much less chaos than I anticipated.
