It's so hard sometimes to just do right. To be fronted with a situation and just make the right choice because it's what you know to do.
Still He's faithful.
So many times I end up forgetting that I even have a choice... and I get stuck in my messed up desires and intentions that always lead to hurt...
Still He's faithful.
I forget that there's nothing that's going to come my way that I'm not strong enough to bear because of the power He has given me through his spirit... so many times I even deny that.
Still He's faithful.
I lean on my own understanding and fail. My logic isn't good enough. And I'm not near as strong as I think I am.
Still He's faithful.
And still I don't learn. I repeat my mistakes that were first done in ignorance, now in stupidity... brandishing lack of self control and habit, with the calluses to prove it, as my only reasons.
Still He's faithful.
Even when I ignore the escape. Even when I then get stuck in self loathing and pity. Even when I then can't love or even be faithful to myself...
Still He's faithful.
