:reaction: . . . . . :-( . . . . .     . . . . .  :sob:
God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.

Patience remember?

Here we go with the "P" word again.   :frustrated:

OK! OK! OK!

:sing:

I've seen the red sea part, I've seen the mountains move
But now it seems so dark, I can't even feel you
If you chose to be silent I'll be silent too
I will worship in the waiting, quiet before you
Until your voice like manna from the sky falls

I will worship in the waiting
I will walk this sand beneath my feet
though the winter wind is blowing
the ground is not frozen underneath
I will worship and not grow bitter
cause I know you see the end of it all
and with the spring will come the rain
and I'll see what was gained
in the waiting

I've seen the blooms of spring, new life in everything
But now it seems so grey, bright colors fade away
This winter seems much longer and colder than before
But I will worship in the waiting, expecting something more
Until the sun shines warm upon my face again
He Leadeth me He leadeth me
By his own hand He leadeth me
His faithful follower I would be
For by his own hand He leadeth me
God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.

sunlight

* sunlight sings the turtle song

have patience, have patience
dont be in such a hurry
for when you arent patient
it only leads to worry
remember, remember
*i forgot the part that goes right here*
that God is patient too...
  :attackhug: Be full of hugs!

SippinTea

 :sing: Have patience, have patience
Don't be in such a hurry
When you get impatient
You only start to worry
Remember, remember
That God is patient too
And think of all the times
When others had to wait for you :sing:

*grin* Funny you brought that song up. I was singing it to myself a few days ago.... to remind myself.  :-?

And then there's Herbert's other song:
:sing: Love waits a long, long, long, long time.... :sing:

Hmmm....

What was your most embarrassing moment while preaching?

Have you lived in NC all your life?

How long have you been preaching?

How long was it in between the time that you got the call to be a preacher and the time you actually preached your first message?

Well the first question I better not answer on the internet.  Suffice it to say that as time moves on words have a way of picking up different meanings.  Some of the stories from years ago may not sound all that good today

I was born in NC as a child we lived briefly in WV.  Then a an adult I lived in WV about one year.  Then I came back to NC.

I preach my first little message at the age of 14.  Then at the age of 16 my dad refused to let us go to church any longer.  Therefore I got out of Church for a while.  Then after I go married I got back in Church.  I went from Church to church trying to find where I belonged.  God had told me to go to Brother Gilmore's Church but I fought the idea because I knew there were things in my life I needed to change.  I finaly decided to obey God and went there when I was 24.  That is when my ministry started to bloom.

I knew as young boy I was called to preach.  But I guess I was about 13 when I heart that voice of God speaking to me and giving me direction.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
