The blades don't know my gender and I refuse to tell them. I am not legally required to tell the blades I am not a girl. So they work just as well on my face.

Shew.. So- wedding was beautiful. I nearly swallowed my false teeth when it started though. With both parties having a background of Pentecost, and them telling me they knew our particular church didn't "do rings" I never thought about general appearance.
The sweet bride walked in to the sound of the wedding march- and when she walked through the sanctuary door I was taken back. Her gown...uh.....didnt exist past the bosom area. No arms, no nothing but so much skin. :laughhard:
God bless them, ya gotta love babies. We celebrated the wedding and not one person made noise about the dress. Even some of my older saints I would have worried told me privately "It was a bit bare but she's a baby, God will show her".
Never been more proud of my folks for the lack of judgment and the understanding. I haven't waivered in what the church standards have been for years, but I've tried to lead and demonstrate love and living the sermon, as well as teaching rather than hurting people.
God is blessing.
Today-did some work for Wed at the church; have assembled and am baking a lasagna, a bit ill with the ready to use noodles that are not softening up like I thought they should. And I have a new experiment- homemade Italian garlic bread of my own recipe- waiting to go in the oven..

Shew. Preached yesterday at Bro Raynor's. Then hightailed it 5 hours west to walk into our service just as the last worship song was q'ued up, walked to the platform and preached there. Good feel of God in the house, loved being back home with my people. Greatly enjoyed the services with Bro Raynor as well, after I got over being uncomfortable.
Came to town today and paid my taxes, done my slides at the church for the bible study tomorrow night, and when one of these heifers gets a break and can run me home, I'm gonna drop Rusty off for his repair.

Ugh taxes. I haven't done ours yet, but I need to get it done ASAP. I'm afraid I'm going to forget.

I have my first personal therapy appointment this afternoon after work. I'm anxious but hopeful!

Shew. Weekend commenced and halfway over. :pound:  Spent some of the day- wife spent most all of it- at the church making peanut butter and chocolate easter eggs, a fundraising tradition for our church. I think they made around 140 today and another 60 or so Thursday. It usually means a profit of 800 or so for the church. Tomorrow- I teach sunday school in a rare switchup and my assistant preaches tomorrow night

And...sunday down. Tomorrow... I really have nothing I have to do. So liberating..

My mom had a crazy night. My sister sent her to hospital in an ambulance but they didn't keep her. Said it was dementia and there was nothing they could do. Then she got home and fell and busted her head and went back to hospital but after they put in staples my sister had to go pick her up about 4 in the morning. Not sure what we're gonna do.

Hi.
This weekend has finally concluded. Good services. People in the altars every night. Baptized a new lady in Jesus' name.
Now to unwind.

Alex came this weekend with his boys. They helped me with a list of "honey do" chores. My children are such blessings.

We are finally joining the 21st century! We got a set of 8 wireless mics (Fenyx) for the stage...

Is what I would say. But the planned install tomorrow was postponed until the 14th.

Personally not sure how I feel about it. If they work flawlessly, okay. But I'm old-school. If you're not walking around all over the stage, plug it in. Wires are still a lot more dependable than wireless.

Don't even get me started on changing the batteries every service...

I'm keeping the old mics in a box in the sound booth. Just. In. Case.

I dislike the battery thing. But I will NEVER go back to being tethered and having to hold a mic. I LOVE my earpiece mic or my lapel mic...

I wish you could talk our pastor into getting an earpiece mic. He loves his lapel, but with the positioning of the new house speakers, and his habit of walking all across the stage, we keep getting feedback. And he will NOT stay in the center, and he will NOT switch to an earpiece mic.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love earplugs? They are just wonderful.

Hi. Enjoying the first Saturday in a while that I don't have a ton to do. Actually finally got to ride the Harley to town for gas. Then I wound up going to church for an hour or so.,

Speaking of gas, I noticed diesel was over $5 a gallon at Walmart. :o
