Got home last night around 9. Slept in today, then ran a few errands, took a church member to town for grocery shopping.
Stressed and generally out of sorts but surviving.

Wow! We had some crazy wind and rain this morning. It even blew over my "porch" swing that I have out near the chicken coop. Limbs are down all around.

hey mom- can you make sugar free pecan pie?

"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Yesterday morning I left out on an overnight work trip.  Several towns we drove through got hit pretty bad that morning, probably tornadoes.  One city got nailed badly.  GPS routed us completely around the city.

Last night, after we finished the day, we were at a little restaurant, and two women were gossiping and complaining loudly. They had quite a beef with their pastor and really "had him for dinner."

Their problem?

He was encouraging the church to read their Bibles.

One even proclaimed she was "a Sunday School teacher and children's director" and didn't see any need for this nonsense.

Ignorant biddies.

Later, my boss told me he almost said loudly, "Rev Mini, it was great to eat dinner with you."

I would have said something like that. I like your boss already. Is he hiring?

And in local news, Skype is shutting down in May. All my friends on Skype are moving to a different platform. We are currently trying out WhatsApp. So far it seems like basically the same functionality as Skype.

Of course it is part of meta, so everything we do will be data mined. But whatever. Targeted ads never have sold me one single thing.

The wind is WILD. It's still going this morning but not as bad. I read there was a dust storm that blew from New Mexico too thru Dallas/Ft. Worth. I saw a video and that was WILD. The howling is quite eerie. lol

I read there was one in Ada and one in Cushing City? I am not looking forward to tornado season lol.

Hi. :sing:
The wind is blowing again. The wind is blowing again. Just like the day of pentecost, the wind is blowing again." :sing:
If this is the way it blew then, I've found a carnal explonation for this passage:
Acts 8:39-40 KJV
And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught
away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. [40] But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all th
e cities, till he came to Caesarea.

The good brother didnt have a good grip on his camel's reins and got blown away.:ugly:

The stomach virus going around caught me. Had to call off work today because of it. Also means missing church tonight.  :sadbounce:

Allen was hit pretty hard, and it routed us around Ada. We started getting messages about Ada before we left, and the GPS took us around.

We were in your fair city for two days working—24 hours of work in two days—which makes for some MIGHTY long days. I think I accidentally discovered where your husband works. We wound up at Panda for lunch, and I looked across the parking lot and was like, "Well, here's where JennJenns' husband works!"  I didn't stop in; we just ate and ran back to the office to keep on working.

BTW, if you guys like BBQ, go north to Smoking Joes Rib Ranch.  Pricy, but man, it's good food.

Back home now, leaving in a few hours to head to Branson.

:hi:  Back at day 3 of the hostage situation.
Got a call to go be fitted for Rusty's new steering column.
Ive came to the conclusion I must lose weight.
Its one thing to be fitted for a suit but when they are fitting you for a TRUCK CAB....well, it kinda hurt my feelings. :laughhard:
Ironically, while they were adjusting i was thinking about...lunch.:pound: Fatty gonna fat.

I'm feeling much better than I did the first half of the week. I spent much of yesterday cleaning the photo lab for our QSP inspection next week.

Got up and went to the local annual ham radio swap meet. No idea why, I'm really not active in the hobby much, but I've went to it for the past thirteen years every year and it just felt like I needed to. All it did was make me a tad blue. I've lost three of my closest ham radio friends in the last couple years and their absence was very noticeable at the event we all used to look forward to.
Came home, go Lou, went to Sam's club, then worked for a while on Chey's apartment. I'm definitely not a carpenter but it's solid and looks decent enough. She shouldn't want to complain- it's free for her.
 Church tomorrow...

My work computer updated to Windows 11 and it's soooo slow.
I also used to dock the taskbar on the LEFT side of my screen and now I can't do that anymore and that's dumb.
So I keep clicking stuff on the left thinking that's where my bar is and it's not grrrr.  :pound:
