We have neighborhood trash can drama. Curious how it wraps itself up tonight. Neighbor put their trash cans in our driveway to be dumped and husband moved them out of the driveway (but still on our property). It's so frustrating that no one asks permission to use first.. just uses whatever they want. We don't know for sure if it was our next door neighbor or if our backdoor neighbor is being a chaos instigator. The houses don't like each other already and the backdoor neighbors JUST moved in the past few months. It's so irritating. Just stay on your own property and don't talk to each other. That's what I try to practice, haha. But we get dragged into things when people won't leave us alone. I want to move.

@Work. Headache. Had coffee earlier so maybe I just need more water intake. I also need a nap.. didn't sleep great.

BUT it's supposed to be a nice week weather-wise for once. So yay for that!

Drama. Lord, Nelle,  I HATE drama- and still get hauled into it frequently. If it ain;t work, it's family. And if I avoid them- it's someone in the church. :pound:
I told a saint today during conversation "God's moving. He may be moving to grab my hands before I choke someone but He is definitely moving". :laughhard:

You could just take the trash cans back in with yours as though you assume they are giving them to you.

Yeah, probably a bad idea. Hush Lynx.

I heard an interesting phrase at work. Somebody was speaking in frustration and said she was about to AT&T somebody. Reach out and touch them. I'm so stealing that one.

I'm also going to use an excuse I heard from a comedian on YouTube. He is slightly overweight, more so than I, and said, "I've got a washboard stomach. I'm just doing a load of towels right now."

Nehemiah 13:21

Interestingly enough.. the previous people who lived there did the same thing (by our actual trash can) on a trash day, and we took it back with us to where we keep ours. LOL. We enjoy having two cans now thanks to them! They moved out before trash day so.. they didn't even know we kept it.

Lynx

If that keeps up you may have a whole flock soon, and not have to take the trash down but once every quarter or so.

Dear Diary:
Day three of this week's hostage situation. My captors were gracious enough to allow me to go to church and to sleep at my home briefly- no doubt to mitigate the cost of feeding me.
There seems to be no end to their cruelty however. Insisting that I awake and toil for peanuts beginning entirely too early. I know I have much in common with an elephant, but the whole peanuts pay thing is a bit ridiculous. I am trapped- with no path of escape. It appears I shall forever be imprisoned, and in a cruel twist of fate, I must "supervise" those that have been set free- with no sight of parole for myself.
Signed- Eeyore, aka Bob the weeping preacher.

Morning y'all. It has attacked me in its usual viscous manner, Nary a sight of kindness.:pound:

Just a few more hours before I can begin to sing the old spiritual song of the weekend- :sing: "Thank God I am free, free, free, of this world of (toil). Washed in the blood of Jesus been born again; Hallelujah I'm saved from this office of sin!" :sing:

TGIF! And payday, let the church say "amen". I choose to not think of the fact that my weekend will likely be busier than my work week. :laughhard:

Payday? What's that? Mine goes so fast I don't know.

Sooooo we finally decided to upgrade Rodrigo (my 2011 kia optima lol).
I got a 2021 Honda Accord - but it's already in the shop because the ball bearings and steering rack need to be fixed. Something the dealership should have caught PRIOR. Sigh. But they're fixing it on their time because I drove it off the lot for less then 24hrs with that pre-existing issue. Sooo my pretty new blue car is in the shop for who knows how long and I'm in a loaner.

Move to Tennessee. I've never seen a scorpion in my life.

Grandma is gone.

She died comfortably in her own home, with all her family around her.

She was unconscious for the last week and six days. Three of her kids - my Aunt, uncle and dad - basically lived in her living room, turning her and changing her periodically.

For the last three years she has required a sitter whenever I'm not here.

But she stayed in her home. We didn't have to send her to a nursing home. She would have been VERY unhappy living in a strange place.

I'm so sorry, Isaac. Will you still be able to live there?

Lynx

For legal reasons Dad basically bought the house from Grandma. (We did NOT tell her. She would have worried herself sick about it.) We didn't know if she would be in the hospital for a long time or something, and the house might be claimed to defray costs. And this is where all her kids grew up, so they wanted to keep it.

Dad keeps insisting I'm getting the house when he dies. I don't really want it, as I am already going to be taking care of mom's house after she dies, mostly to make sure my mentally disabled half brother will always have a place to live.

I may soon wind up moving back to East Tennessee, depending on how my brother's condition progresses and how well my mother is able to take care of him. Mom is in her late 60s now.

Or I may remain here for a few years. No idea right now.

So sorry, Isaac. You did amazing taking care of her. Praying for God's comfort for you and your family, and His guidance for the next move in your life, wether it be remaining where you are or moving to a different area.

I'm so sorry, Isaac. I'm thankful you were all able to honor her wishes of staying at home, even though we only know the surface of what level of care was involved. You served your grandmother and family so well! I know God honors those loving sacrifices as well.

@Work. Been a rough morning, but it's a beautiful day outside.

MsJennJenn

So sorry Isaac. You've posted often of taking care of her. Hopefully answers will pop up soon on what you have to do.

Also, in reference to your "move to Tennessee" lol - hubs long goal was to eventually end up in Tennessee to retire there, but with Helene doing what she did now he's worried LOL

Bobby you'd be happy to know he thinks he would still like to give Arkansas a try based off of the vacation we had there. I said well unless a hurricane hit Texas like Helene did we'd be safe in AR lol. He agreed.

Arkansas would be a good place to live when I am elderly.

My stepfather was huffing and puffing up a hill during their daily exercise walk and commented that when he retired he was going to move to the flattest place on earth.

If the part of Arkansas I have driven through is not the flattest, it is at least a strong contender for the title. It would be easy to take an exercise walk there.

Biking would also be a breeze. There would be no problem at all biking anywhere in that part of Arkansas.

Of course no uphills also means no downhills. There would be no struggle to get to the top, but also no thrill of flying to the bottom.

I guess that would be a fair trade. I would take flatland over going down a hill knowing I had to go up another one.

Morning all. And Isaac if you want flat you gonna have to stay east of us. Because the Center, north, and west portions will wear out your ebike...the Boston Mountain Range and the Ozarks aren't a joke.

Man. Back at work. Bah, humbug!

That wouldn't wear out my e-bike, it would wear ME out!
