Monday Monday Monday  :sing: Everrrryyybodiessss working for the weekendddd

It's SUPER gloomy outside today. But it was like 65 this morning WOOOO. Thank you autumn equinox.
NOw please stay.... please?!!

I keep seeing posts about Mcdonalds bagels on Threads. I need to see if mine has it.
My favorite fast food breakfast these days is the Wendy's biscuit and gravy. Holy moly that thing is delicious. I get two!  :biglaugh:

I'm on vacation.

Spent my first day of vacation loafing around doing nothing- unless eating, reading, and watching YouTube counts as doing something.  I'm headed to the church shortly to join the first night of the pork rind fry and assembly line.

Roscoe

Urgh. Lord it is Monday. Well, it is for me anyhow. Sleep was very restless last night. Thankful I just have three days this week. Fall swap meet happens this weekend.

You guys are making me hungry and I have more than an hour until Lunch!

Sipping coffee and contemplating my next work step to get done today.

Managed to get an injury last night. Stepped in a hole in the church yard and twisted my knee.

MsJennJenn

Started putting together my she-shed (gardening pots and dirt shed lol) together last night cus the weather was finally decent. Got about 1/4 of the way into it and got stung by a scorpion. Soooo.... shed isn't done. And I was violently attacked!!! Holy moly that hurt sooooo bad. Finally today I finally feel semi ok. The pain is gone now it just feels tingly. Last night it made my lips feel weird though. All of me felt weird. Not anything I want to repeat any time soon. BURN IT ALLL!!!!!!!!  :cry2:  :noo:  :nono:

Scorpions...

That's one of the top 10 reasons I stay in Tennessee. Scorpions. That's one reason all by itself.

I'm staying away from y'all. Pain may miss you and hit me.
I've never been stung by a scorpion. Don't wanna either. Morning attacks me enough,I don't need God's little critters joining in. :laughhard:

I agree. Landlord/lady bought stuff to come put on the yard for them. Cus I've seen three now.
One back first of August I caught IN THE HOUSE in laundry I PICKED UP. Then last night when I started my project I saw a dead one ON the porch. Didn't think I'd encounter a live one soon thereafter.  :noo:

Wednesday. I can do this. Lol.
Stuck at a satelite office where EVERYTHING is blocked on the computers. So exasperating.
Ive got one to see at 1pm then I will run back to my main office..
Bible study tonight...modifying Bro Woodward's "Games people play" bible study. Good foundation, i just felt the need to flesh out and tweak it some. I was reading it like I often do and thought "I like this but I would say..."
Thats one thing I love about listening to or reading info from other Holy Ghost filled ministers.
Just reading it, you can see their thought...and God will open up things specific for your church alot of times
Ive seen some mesaages that bore no resemblance to the work that planted the seed...but it was dynamite.
Anyhoo...get through tonight and tomorrow then Im off for the fall swap meet

I am officially the owner of an EBike. Went to the bicycle shop today and tried out the different EBike options.  Decided on the Aventon Pace 500.3

They sure are getting popular these days. I'm starting to see them everywhere. Even my uncle Brent has one, which I did not see coming at all.

I'm going for a bicycle with an after-market electric wheel. I know official electric bikes have some components sealed inside the frame for very good reasons (like not shorting out if it rains) but I like to be able to access and fix all the parts myself.

I see several in our local drug court that have them. Many have suspended license until they complete the program or nearly so,  so a vehicle isn't an option but these little things do quite well and providing transportation for some of them that live a mile or two from the office. Pretty cool, even if I'm not one that they would work for. Now a Harley- I could totally go back to those ( None electric, with the great American eagle flying in the form of a straight piped Vtwin engine)  :laughhard:

Morning is a meanie today. I overslept and didn't wake up until Lou's alarm went off, which gave me 30 minutes to get dressed and get to work- and I live 15 minutes from work. So rush, rush, and no bagel for me this morning. I may not have needed it but I wanted it, so now I sit sulking and grumpier than usual. I made it on time though. :pound:

In my case I have a valid driver's license and 2 working cars, I just like bike commuting.  Amuses me when folks want to know where my car is or if I need a ride.  Car culture for ya.

When I was test riding the bikes, I went whizzing past a teenager at 20 mph. He immediately wanted to know if what I was riding was an ebike.

MsJennJenn

Was rudely awakened by the landlady banging on our bathroom window.
Sorry my bad we were asleep and yes I forgot you scheduled the bug guy for 9am. MY BAD.
Then she stomped off to her car like a child.

I heard a comedian say that you know you're in a rough neighborhood if the guys on bicycles outnumber the guys in cars.

You know you are in a very rough neighborhood if you see guys riding a bicycle while carrying another bicycle they just stole.

I love my e-bike. Bike trips that used to leave me coughing from exercise induced asthma are now super easy and fun.

The bike shop had me test out 4 different e-bikes to make sure I got the best one for me. The other 3 were really hard on my injured knee and painful to ride.

I keep on going back to the Adventure.2.  If I lived closer to work, I would have one to ride every day.  It would be rather difficult to do 30+ miles every day on a bike though...lol

I took a look at that model. They claim it has 60 plus mile range. Of course that's with "moderate user input." They all use the assumption that the rider will be pedaling a bit, because it makes their range sound much better.

Reckon how much range does it have if you don't pedal at all?

I looked that up. Throttle only range is 30 miles.  Personally I was more interested in the petal assist than the throttle.  Being rather overweight and out of shape means I effectively have exercise induced asthma. Got tired of having a coughing fit every time I had to petal up a minor hill.

Lynx

30 miles is still pretty doggone good for a little e-bike battery.

And the more exercise you get, the longer that battery will last as your health gets better.

Actually considering the lifespan of lithium ion batteries, it should just about even out. The batteries should get age on them about the same pace as your health gets better.

Weekends just go by too fast. Sigh.

So I found an Ardmore Community Choir - went to the practice last night and yikes. lol
It was hosted at a baptist church so the music was very much that. They all could read music and I cannot. I thought it was gonna be more traditional christmas songs and it wasnt. Soooo sigh. So much for that. lol I don't think I'm gonna go back.
