There's always GP on your phone...

I don't even use a "real" computer for internet any more. I have my phone connected to a big screen. Ebay, GP, facebook (I assume...) it's all there.

Hi. Officially just two years from half a century. :pound:
Tomorrow will be 2 o'clock service and potluck... and I MIGHT have Monday for me to get things done. Maybe.

I'm only 46, but much more indolent than thou.

Happy birthday and good luck.

Happy Belated Birthday! Glad to see your church family got one in on you! LOL

@Work.

Just got my letter from the doctor through my chart online and I do NOT have any issues currently with my stomach/esophagus! Just have to keep watching my trigger foods and taking my  meds. So thankful!

MsJennJenn

Happy belated Bobby.  :sing:

Why does Monday roll around so fast!!  :'(

They did indeed. For those not on FB- those goofy things wore overalls to church as a tribute to me. At least twenty pairs of overalls worn to church. And I, the overall king, was left out of the loop and was wearing a three-piece suit due to having a visiting minister. :pound:  Lou had compassion and brought me some overalls so I changed into them after the dinner.
Good service, between 60 and 70 there with a few out sick. Then during the potluck they surprised me again with birthday cards, gifts, and the like. Alot of the cards' messages meant more to me than the gifts. However, the joy the large amount of chocolate and dr peppers brought cannot be understated...I loved them.
Today- carried a saint with no transportation to town for errands and groceries; came home and read a book I'd ordered that came in. Being an idiot, I sat down and devoured it in one afternoon. It was good, but my eyes were strained by it and as a result things have been a tad blurry for the next couple hours. I may have to break down and get glasses.

Get you some reading glasses. You can probably make it a few more yers on just those. Speaking from experience. ;)

What was the book? If it was THAT good you oughta mention the title.

Um. I dont know. I have a fascination with historical biblical fiction.
If an author is good and historically accurate, and doesnt conflict with the Bible, I enjoy reading how the unrecorded parts of life could have been for bible characters.
This was the second book in a series regarding Joseph and Potipher's wife...very talented writer who gives Potipher's wife a possible explaination to why she did what she did. And as an added benefit, it explores Joseph as a human not just his Godly side, and it does it without conflicting with the bible.
I give the series 5 stars and eagerly await any further books by this author.

Backseat Radio

My church is launching small groups this Sunday with a small groups fair after Sunday morning service.  As an introvert, asking me to sign up for a small group feels more like asking me to sign up for torture.

Roscoe

I haven't fully embraced the "small groups movement" But in fairness, my church is still a "Small Group" by some standards, with average attendance in the 30s to 50s most of the time. Things ARE coming together though.
Morning all. Somehow the agency gave me access to GP and others again. Don't know if it is a glitch or the blocking was a glitch...It works now though so I am thankful for that.
Also, thankful it is Friday. Hopefully I can get some more stuff done this weekend so by the time winter gets here I will be able to site without guilt and enjoy SNOW and cold through the window.

Our church is a small group in and of itself as well. I love the idea of small groups tho! You get to know people of actual mutual interests on a less anxiety-producing level. It's a good supplement to good church bonding. :)

@Work. It's rainy here again today.

:sing: It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday  :sing:

Gonna attempt to go to the farmers market in the morning. If I can get up haha. And if I can find it.  :biglaugh:
I sure wish these 100 degrees would go away. I am so ready for fall. And even winter.

I am thoroughly fed up with mechanics and vehicles.

I have been maintaining two vehicles, so I will have one to drive when the other is in the shop. This costs a bit, but I don't want to be one of the crowd who has to badger a mechanic to get my car fixed RIGHT NOW!

One of my vehicles has been in the shop a month and a half now, and the other is about half a month into its shop stay.

New plan: Folding bike, electric, waterproof bike wheel, foam unpoppable tires. Also wet weather and cold weather gear. I can fix everything on that MYSELF and the mechanic can take his sweet time. I've had it.

We only got to 88 here!  I saw there was a weak cold front over part of the state, I guess we were on the lucky side!

It's been mind melting hot over here, interspersed with hurricane force winds, hail, and rain. Apparently someone made God mad in Oklahoma -looking at you Jenn- and He apparently needs to work on His aim a bit.  :laughhard:
Either that or I've annoyed Him and am pleading His forgiveness.

For once, I am ready for Cold, kinda. If I can get the front of Chey's apartment painted where it looks decent first. I can work on the inside through the winter.
Now I still don't want any of that northern frozenness that cause the temperature to have a negative sign in front of it, but I will even entertain snowfall at this point, provided the power doesn't go out....
