Not feeling well the last couple of days. I feel lethargic. Working a truck in the morning praying whatever this is will be gone by then.

I have had a somewhat successful day.. made it through the work day, one day closer to my beloved vacation/car show.  :thumbsup2: I discovered today that the day that would be my Friday the week of the car show ( a Monday), the event planner at the Capitol had allowed a group to come in and hold an event for "Human Rights". After reading the event organizer- The Gay,Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Association, I became nausious.

Last year when they allowed that, we had several crossdressers and other perversions show up. As the event planner told me, he couldn't deny them their event no more than he could deny a Christian event. I decided that it was a better than even chance I would say or do something I shouldn't, - I have been called  homophobic- so I scheduled a vacation for that day too. Now,  the only fruits and nuts I'll deal with that day will be packaged. :laughhard:

When I got home, I discovered the last tiny piece I wanted to do to Rusty had arrived, so I changed it (fuel injector) and Rusty's oil. He is 100%- until the next thing breaks. :laughhard: Now, I'm fixin' to go to church. Be Blessed, y'all.... :hi:

Went to work and other stuff and came home.

I'm tired and irritable and in a foul mood.

Watching Duck Dynasty. Show on A&E.

So stinking hilarious. These dudes are SO hick...and dumb. I have tears rolling down my face I'm laughing so hard.

Im not sure what is more awkward, answering Dora when she asks you a question, or sitting there silently while she stares at you. :smirk2:
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Replace eggs?  What's wrong with eggs?  Love em.

There is a little girl in my life who is highly allergic to them, so when I make snacks and treats for the Youth, I try to be conscious of what all I make it with, so her parents don't have to worry about her eating anything that we have. She is allergic to Soy, Eggs, Peanuts and Almonds. So we have to be careful. More products than you think contain Soy and Eggs.

Well, the corn I planted never came up....I thought maybe it was just cause it hadn't rained on it really since I planted it...though other stuff came up....

Come to find out....it was ancient seed...  I thought dad bought it for the garden, because it appeared one day sitting here in the house.  I don't know where it had been for all those years.

And I also don't know WHY he never told me it was old when I planted it or anytime in the past 2 and a half weeks!!!!??

Lynx

Allergic to soy, eggs, peanuts and almonds... Almonds aren't a common ingredient, but the other three are everywhere!  Man, talk about vigilance...

I myself am allergic to almonds. I don't have to be nearly as careful as her.

It's after 2. I'm going to bed finally. Just finished the third Narnia book...only 4 more to go. ;)

Fixin to get ready to go work. Another truck day. Next week I start a more routine schedule working from 6am till 2pm. Pray we get the Datsun fixed up and inspected so Elona doesn't have to drive me in and I don't have to wait till five for a ride home next week.

Also, at some point today I have to go to the City Thiefs office.... opps I mean treasurer to pay more tax for living in this little town than I do for living in the state. Once the Datsun gets an inspection sticker I will have to go pay them for owning that too.

That made me :spitlaugh:  LOL

It's early. I'm alive.  Taco, I've been having to take Nathan to work @6am.  My wonderful phlegmatic husband has got to get his truck or get a new vehicle figured out.

& I don't know what the going rate is there but it's nearly $2K for the taxes of our car in this state/city.  Ridiculous.

The Purple Fuzzy

It rained and hailed last night according to my husband but I slept right through it.

MsJennJenn

Rained all last night here too...was still sprinkling on the way into work.

Strange how it's stormed every night this week. But just at night. lol

@Melb - our church is a "peanut free" church. Our children's directors son is highly allergic.

Coughed my head off last night. I can't seem to shake this head cold, I've had it since Friday of last week.

Gonna move my pool today. It's still a bit lopsided. So I'm moving it to the yard, and not on the deck.

RE Dora:  What I'd really like to see is a show called "Dora's Parents" where her parents finally show up, take her home and make her stop wandering around shouting at people in spanish.

RE black coffee kind of day:  I feel your pain bro.  I had to get up at what, for a second shift dude, is a very early time.

RE car taxes:  Yeah, but you'd sure be ticked if they stopped maintaining the roads.
Here the car taxes aren't all that much, but they make up for it with a 9.25% sales tax.  I've about decided the best thing to do is live in Tennessee, but close to the border so you can pop over to another state to buy stuff.

RE coughing:  Bleh, I hate it when the cold is over, but the cough sticks around.  Happens to me about 1 out of every 5 colds or so.

oh_my_word.

It is stinkin' 59° out right now!  It was supposed to rain last night.  I'm not sure it did.  It looks/smells like rain right now but it's not raining.  Just cold and windy and dark.  I just made a pot of coffee.  It's so dark out, the kids are still asleep.  I haven't let them sleep in this long since school has been let out.  I think I'll sit here a bit longer.

Oh and Lamentations... some of it gets on my nerves.  It sounds like whining to me.  But then there is comfort and hope restored... LOL  Kind of a rollercoaster of emotions going on.

Lam 3:21-41 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!"

The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD.  It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth.  Let him sit alone and keep silent, Because God has laid it on him;

Let him put his mouth in the dust--There may yet be hope.  Let him give his cheek to the one who strikes him, And be full of reproach.  For the Lord will not cast off forever.  Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies.

For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.  To crush under one's feet All the prisoners of the earth,  To turn aside the justice due a man Before the face of the Most High,  Or subvert a man in his cause--The Lord does not approve.

Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, When the Lord has not commanded it?  Is it not from the mouth of the Most High That woe and well-being proceed?  Why should a living man complain, A man for the punishment of his sins?   Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the LORD;  Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.

Lamentations in Greek is QRHNOI (Threnos) or "lament".
It's a book of grief over Jerusalem's decisions and sins.

Only makes sense it would seem like whining...because in essence it is. The write is lamenting over the sins.

Yeah, I know.  And it's warranted, and I've cried out to God and pleaded with God.  I know He is moved by us.  But unless I'm in that mood, feeling that way for our nation, which I probably should more often, it's a hard read.  And I thought, maybe, if I feel like that, someone here that is reluctant to read Lamentations for the very same reason might be a bit more intrigued if there is "light" in the tunnels of lamenting... lol  Idk.

All this talk of eggs made me want some, so I made scrambled eggs with green onions, and red, orange and yellow bell peppers. Topped with cheese. Then I covered it with ketchup, and drank a glass of milk.

Very tasty. Only thing I needed was a couple pieces of toast.

Lord. I forgot that today is Girl's State. I have 800+ teenage girls in my capitol and I'm stuck on inside posts all day. I may be as bald as Miniskirt by the time this day is through.....
