Now that's more like it!  I can hang my vacation request on that one.  I was afraid if I got the time off and made the trip, nobody else would be there because everyone else would not know for sure if anyone else would...
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

I will call today and reserve the cabins for the Thursday and friday nights of next week.

YAY!  We might bring a friend as well.  Count us as 2 guys and 3 girls.

OK, the food situation here will be a little different.  There's not any food places handy, so last time we brought groceries and cooked there... at least for some of the meals.  Just something to think about.

Lynx

No supermarkets handy?  I'll have to stop at the nearest town to there on my way for the cream cheese and butter.  And the turkey and mayo.

If anyone likes anything besides mayo on your turkey sandwich, bring it.  I'll have enough turkey, sourdough bread and mayo for sandwiches for all, for any time.

:hyper: yes!  about what - turkey sandwiches, John being there, cheesecake or MellowYellow bringing friends?

Or is it about we're finally past the you-first-no-I'm-waiting-for-someone-else-to-decide stage?   :biglaugh:

All of the above? I am so excited about meeting melodya, about seeing the Freeman's again, about John being there, and about meeting a new friend of course!

I'll be there at least Thursday and Friday, maybe Saturday..

So, we'll split the cabin fee when we all arrive, and I figured the women get the larger cabin, and the men the smaller. I'll double check and make sure my count on the beds in each cabin is right. I can go down early Thursday.

Food is always an issue :) There is a _small_ little tiny store a few miles away, and a town for several? hundred about 9 miles away. The nearest Walmart-sized place is 55-60ish miles away.

If y'all don't mind pizza, chips and pop, and don't want to cook Thursday late afternoon/evening on arriving, I'll handle that myself as my contribution for not being a cook the rest of the time.

And in the absence of Bro. Papa's barbecue Friday night, I'll make a pot of chili.  I'll need to make it Thursday though, because of course chili won't be good until the second day.  :D

Are we still thinking about french toast for breakfast Friday?

Oh yeah... would someone please bring a lot of shredded cheese?  Can't have a big pot of chili without cheese in it.

Newsman there will be refrigerators, ovens and stoves, right?

There was a stove and fridge in the big cabin.  Not sure about the smaller one.  We cooked in the big (girls) cabin last time.  If you go into the archives you can find the link with some photos.

Lynx

Sounds good.  I can bring my own stew pot, skillet and springform pan.

And dish soap... well, I use Dawn for shampoo, so that's covered.

"Most everything was based out of the girls cabin since it was bigger.  It was interesting cooking on a small 2 burner stove with no oven for 11 or 12 folks...  Next time, we will know to take more chairs and such"

Ok, no oven.

You may could use Sis. Freemans oven if you make enough cheesecake to share with them. ;)

I'll have pies already made & bring my pan too. Do we need to bring bedding? I'll bring the same stuff I planned. Are we grilling at any point?

We will be there@ 10pm Thursday at the earliest.  Hopefully you all are still visiting @that time.

You seem to know them, could you find out?  I'd hate to bring all the stuff and not be able to, but I'd also hate to not bring all the stuff and find out I could have.  Chocolate cheesecake, with Lindt cocoa, is not to be missed.
