Thanks.  I knew we were talking about possibilities, but didn't know we had decided on anything yet.

Do we want to make sure we're all in the same hall?

I might even bring a sack of something edible.  White or whole wheat?

what is this 'whole wheat' thou speakest of?

Be shocked, everyone: I've turned over a leaf: I vote whole wheat!

Lynx

It does taste better, in my personal opinion.  Storebought whole wheat, on the other hand... blech!

I have sad news: I will not be able to make the meet-up.

Which means that I also will not be going. :smirk2:

But that's ok! Next meet-up, here on the coast again! That way you can come see us!
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Well for me, it's money. I don't have any. I get a little pay from the weekly jobs that I do at church, and I had some put back just for the trip. Kimber and I estimated that it would take aprox $100 each for us to get there and back, and that was pushing it. That was with no extra spending money. But I ended up having to give my stash to my dad for bills, and I am still having to do so, so I was not able to save any.

As it looks right this second, I have no money saved, and most of the money I will get between here and there, I won't have any to speak of then either, cause I am still giving it to dad. Even if I had the money, I couldn't go unless Kimber does, cause I don't have a vehicle of my own. I was riding with her. But I'm not blaming her at all, cause if she went right now, I still couldn't go cause I don't have the money. So it's my own fault.

I am not complaining. Sad? YES. But God is good and I am happy to be able to support my family even just a little.

:)

Kimber can explain hers if she wants to. But that's my reasons.

For now, I feel that Melody's reasoning will suffice, God is still good.  :great:

Well, I was SO looking forward to meeting Melody and Kimber.

In other news...we may be in the same boat, and will be most likely unable to attend due to a crisis that reared its ugly head today.

No.  I am not pregnant.  Though that would be a crisis that would take some explaining to my wife (yes, I am male.)  :ugly:

What has happened is our car has been making a strange rumble, and out of sheer frustration and insanity, I took to checking wheels and found my problem.  Apparently the tree branch my wife found in Louisiana left a lasting impression on at least 1 tire, possibly 2, and a new set of tires is in short order for us.  As in, we can't drive it safely until a new set of tires is on, and...well, there goes a  huge chunk of our finances.

:-(

I have texted Roscoe, and he responded with tears, anguish, and several other things, all related to the lack of internet, Dr. Pepper and donuts, but informed me that Lou is having a very difficult time in securing her time off for the Meatup, even though she put in for the time in March.

So, what Roscoe is proposing is a possible reschedule.  If we planned now, any reservations that you have made at the hotel could be canceled (hopefully without any fees).  I know it would crimp our style right now, but may work out for the better later.

What say you?

I strongly object to my style being crimped - and the longer we wait, the hotter it will be outdoors - but I suppose there's no point showing up if nobody else will be there.

Waiting for other people's input.  If it's still on for May 17-19 I'll be there.

Roscoe was suggesting a September reschedule date.

God knows.  I believe it all works out.  I will cancel my reservations if that's what it has come to.  We don't know what the middle of May brings for us all.

Lynx

Just let me know quickly if it's officially off, because the Prime-Timer's Campmeeting in Tennessee is May 17-19 as well.  I've been there before and liked it, so if I'm not going to get to meet you folks then I'd like to get my registration in at the camp ground.

That's what I was thinking, there may be a good reason all these different things have come up.  Still disappointed, though.
