I think May would be better. A little more time for us to get some funds together.

I have been talking to Nathan &we were looking at pretty PJean pictures.  It sounds do-able IF it's warm. Nathan wondered how warm it could be in March?

I find it humorous that all of you would finally be in Arkansas at a time when I no longer live there, haha! Some of you would probably even drive near my hometown!

The warm weather was my biggest hold back about March. March here could mean 70 and sunny or 30 and snow.  :biglaugh:
March and April are generally our spring storms/ tornado weather. June, July and August are typical Arkansas summers- HOT! It's not unusual to have a actual temperature of 102 or better with heat indexes of 115 or so in July and August... June is beautiful and a bit warm, but the car show takes up one wek and there are generally people that come a week early or stay a week late for that, so it's usually busy..
Truthfully, middle to end of May or September after Labor Day would be best in my opinion.... I'll let you guys sort out what's best as far as time though.
Any holiday weekends are probably out though... Petit Jean fills up quick then.

That's what he suspected.  He couldn't see it being consistantly warm enough yet in March.  Which would mean more mud when we hike. 

We put our vote in for May also, though we would also come in April if that is where it end up.

'tis true....personally, I like May. But September wouldn't be that bad... whatever will work for Lou and I, I suspect. We might go to Peak, which is July I think, and there will probably be a couple of cheap Branson trips....but they are up in the air right now.

So----May, I guess is best for folks. What part of May? Later in the month, the warmer it usually is...... And Newsman and Mini need to chime in here and tell if they are going to have any conflicts with May......

I'm still kinda pulling for September. Gives us a bit more time to save and plan.


And Kimber bought me a gift...it's a duck bank and I already have him sitting on the dresser collecting change for the trip! Yay!!!
