What instruments are played at your church?  Do you have a piano and an organ?  Do you have a guitar player?
At my church we have a real grand piano, a bass player, a guy that plays a soprano saxophone, and drums.  That's all.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower.

We have an organ and a piano (digital).  Normally, I'm the only one there that plays, and 99% of the time I play the organ.

Okay....let's see...

We have an organ, keyboard, drums, bass, steel guitar, and a saxaphone. We occasionally use an electric guitar and strings. We have a HUGE bass drum that my pastor beats on...about like saints often do on a pulpit when they are really backing the preacher. We have tambourines but I rarely hear one played in rhythm...often grabbed up when our pastor dances across the platform. One man in our church can almost make a harmonica talk. I love the variety.
Delight in the Lord...

I love the organ. I think an organ can more than stand on it's own.

Yes, it has 4 legs.  It stands quite well.

Standard drum set, electric guitar, acoustic guitar (both amped, but neither does any shredding... at least during service  :hypocrite: ) my uncle Fred's really big upright bass cello, organ and a "piano" which is really just an electric keyboard inside a fancy baby grand piano shell.

I could take my laptop, connect it to the MIDI out on the "piano" and have a lot of other virtual instruments through my laptop... but I'm not really good enough to play live yet, and I don't think it would really add anything worthwhile to the service.  Nobody would be worshiping, they would all either be interested in how I played all those instruments or they'd be thinking "what a show-off!"  And they'd be right.

Hmm...three with keys (one a baby grand, I think) bass guitar and drums.

Roscoe

Piano, organ, drums and a bass guitar that I am currently torturing in attempt to learn. I also used to play a harmonica, long, long, ago, but haven't touched it in years.

Niki

Keyboard, organ, drums, congas, chimes, electric guitar, bass guitar and tambourine. The chimes and tambourine aren't played that often.

Sounds like me on the keys.  When I go to practice I say I'm going to go commit music, cause the way I play, it's a crime.

I wonder if we made a wax figure of Mini, and then melted it, if we'd get Roscoe... -MellerYeller

Some yes, some no.  We had a musical program and had many people playing in the service.

Backseat Radio

The church I attend now when I go to church has a piano and organ.  My previous church has no musical instruments at all - not even in the form of pre taped music.  The only music they had during service was how ever many human voices showed up to sing that service.

Careful...  You never know what viruses I may have hidden on those DVDs, waiting for me to trigger them remotely.

Nah, I didn't.  But considering the preceding post, maybe I oughta have.   :freaky2:
