GLORAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, after 85 years of blood and guts, or what seems like it anyways, I have in my hot little hand...(well, actually it's just laying out in my front car seat), the signed stinking blasted Quit Claim Deed!

Lynx

Glad to hear it.  But now you have the quit claim, will everyone quit griping?  Or do you have a few more years of your father complaining about how wrong it is?
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Oh, he's still not happy (he doesn't even know the status of the quit claim thing, I've just taken it upon myself to get the process completed), but the main thing is, now this description and this parcel is up to date and legally ours without room for dispute from anybody else.....

I still need to address the government overlap issue now...but that's not as big of a deal....no "personalities" are involved....

Now when my cousin has the uncle's deed description redrawn to new legal specs and stuff, supposedly that will require a quit claim signed back to them from us....  God only knows how that lead balloon will fly with my dad....I know that'd send him into a gripe fit I imagine......oh well....  I'm exceedingly pleased to have this part under control now though.

Tomorrow I'll plan to take it to the Recorder's office and have it all recorded and crud.  Yay........

Did I ever mention being a nerd comes in handy?  Well it does.

This morning, before Sunday School even started, the sound system went berserk.  More than half the channel input lights lit up and it started emitting a buzzing, sputtering sound.  It took us about two minutes of testing stuff (while poor Bro. Robert tried to do announcements) to figure out it wasn't the amp, EQ, any certain mic channel... the whole board is shot.

Being a nerd, I ran to my office and grabbed my spare mini-mixer, patched in the wireless mic, piano, piano vocal and wireless lapel mic and that was enough to get by.  One output to main speakers, one output to computer for recording.  No stage monitors.  No stage mics.  No anything else.  Bleh.  But it'll do in a pinch.

Maybe I'll patch in the CD player and sing with one of my soundtracks tonight.  Or maybe Sis. Shelia will be asked to sing a solo.  No groups though, unless they want to all hover around the piano mic or bellow without a mic.

Being a nerd is great though.  I'm the only person I know who has a spare mixer under the desk in his office.

As far as I'm concerned, the car is dead to me. It's spewing oil from somewhere else in the engine. I parked it at the dealers lot and I'll drop off the key tomorrow. I'm not gonna keep paying for a car that I haven't driven in almost 2 months.

Kimber? Who's that? Are you speaking of the lady that came roaring in here sometime back, got us all excited about having someone to tattle, er share,  on you, then abandonded us? THAT Kimber?

She is dead to me....
And I made it through the work day. I would appreciate prayers for one of the kids in my youth group, that she would get a grip enough to hold on....... I'll leave it at that, but I'd appreciate your prayers.
See ya tomorrow! :waving:

Neat.  I came to that conclusion independently some years ago.  I never did research with Census Bureau data and made graphs but I did observe the effect.

And the last frame probably explains why I'm still single.   :smirk2:

It's been a really blessed wknd.

I got some chickens on sale for 69¢\lb. So I decided to roast them  stuffedwith lemon wedges, onions, garlic, fresh rosemary.  Since it was the Jewish new yr this week &i was looking for something a bit different to eat, I made matzo ball soup, which is a twist on chicken dumpling soup. (leeks, shallots, parsnips, chicken broth, fresh dill, if anyone was curious) with rolls & zuccini.

The lady that I teach a Bible study to was having a trying day Thursday, got down on her knees @ home, praying. She got the HG right there! Ptl

Then this 1guy came to church today from a google search.  Our friend who often comes over on Sunday afternoons connected w/ him so we said bring him along with the 6 other people that come over.  He's been un KC for 2 mo. for college.  Last week was Ray who has been here also for a few mo.

People need a church family.   I'm so thankful God gives us life more abundantly.

Then we went  to the park w/ a whole different group of ppl. Beautiful weather.  Gets dark at 7:20 now though. :(

I love people!  Sorry Sethers.

Me too, except I'm not grumpy.

So last night..I didn't get much sleep..then when I finally could sleep..I couldn't. Then promptly at 755 this Am my mom calls to ask if I'm awake..now if she was smart she would have saw my facebook status at 130 in the Am and would have let her daughter sleep...

But I have blessed news! As you all know I've been praying for something in the job range that I can do after surgery...I talked to my assistant pastor last night about working for the company he is involved with...it's sales..but I'm very good at phone sales and getting to see him every day would be such a blessing! I was beside myself after I talked to him at church. And we had a guest pastor from Sierra Leone, he had an amazing accent and an AWESOME message...so I don't know why I couldn't sleep...but today is a new day..and it's going to be a great day...

Later today I'm going to my Mom's to pick apples and tomatoes...then tomorrow I am bagging them to freeze...So that's my week in a nutshell :)
I'm just me, round and bubbly like a lil honey bee!

Glad you had a good day, Bird Head.

And speaking of bird heads, there's Eslimshaney.  :smirk2:

I'm eating and RBB and then gonna go to the Recorder's office.

This morning has started with a bang.  My supervisor is in China for his Chinese wedding.  He takes care of all of the IT issues.  Anyway, a few months ago my email along with the president of the company and the main sales guy got deleted.  We never got an explanation on how that happened.  Well, three months later, it stopped working.  Seems the guy that set them up forgot to uncheck the change password every three months option.  Now today it's happened again.  Not what I wanted to deal with on a Monday morning.  I decided to walk over to the other company that handles our email and just strangle him myself.  Y'all come bail me out if you don't hear anything soon.

After a couple phone calls everything is squared away with the car. I pay the remaining $50 for my last payment and I'm done. The SUV I've been driving just needs some brake pads and it's good to go.

May end up taking a dog home from the animal hospital. She's a brown and black shepherd mix. She's adorable.
