Does anybody want to have a group voice chat anytime soon?  I've caught people mentioning the possibility here and there in the sharing threads but never seen anything come of it.  This thread is for notifying people of an imminent one, if we ever have one...

Why Skype?  Because it's free, it's cross-platform, it's easy to use and it sounds good.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Skype won't let you have a conference unless you pay.  Google+ has hang outs though which allows you to video chat multiple people

Whoops!  I'd never used it before, so I didn't know.  It will let you do group chat (text based) though.  I just assumed it would do audio too.  Sorry.

Usually we do group calls on our phones. Thomas was normally the one who would call someone and it have a snowball effect until we had 7-9 people on the line some nights.

Man I miss those! I would have talked less and listened a bit more if I would have known.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

I remember the last one I was in on, Thomas was on Skype and figured out he could add I think it was 50 people to the call all on his on. He was trying to do it too!!! I think we left messages on at least 6 voice mails. On some peoples voice mails we left multiple messages. lol

Was I on that one? I vaguely remember a call like that.

But the most memorable call was the thumbs up call. Haha!

Well how much does it cost then?  I'd front it.

That was the call I was honored to be included in. :teeth: Wasn't that the same call that we discovered  that Seth preaches via sign language?  :laughhard:

If I am not mistaken Yoop said it was like 1 or 2 cents a minute per connected call. Or something like that. But I might be wrong.

Yep same call. lol

I remember we kept having to get quiet to see if we could hear Seth breathe just to make sure he was still there. lol

I do not have internet other than what's on my phone. When I eventually do I'd definitely be up for one.

Yes, was actually 'present' at the big thumbs up hurrah....  One of the few of those calls I've been in on....  I actually don't like them, because I don't do well in groups of people, it just makes me uncomfortable.  I can never hear what people are saying, and they for sure can't hear me.  I kept saying things and nobody ever knew I said anything. lol

Plus, I just don't like people.  :hypocrite:  :P

Yahoo Messenger has voice conference ability.  I don't think everybody can talk all at once.....or used to couldn't anyways....but you take turns saying your piece.  I dunno.

tiny chat is free, plus you can use audio and/or video. and those who want to use only audio can still see video if they wish. plus more than one person can talk and it has hands free chat. i used it a lot for awhile. it links with fb and other sites too.

Yahoo messenger seems the most logical to me.  People who don't have voice capability can still be in on the chat...

Of course, with skype you can conference call, etc.  But if everyone who has a conference call capability on their phone uses it, you can add quite a few connections to a call.  Even in our pre-skype days, it seems like there were up to 7 or 8 people on a call sometimes.
