I was talking to my sister the other day and I mentioned going to Goodwill to find dress pants... she blew up!  She talked for a good 15 minutes about how Goodwill is a for-profit business now, they're scamming people who still think they're a charity, etc.  I didn't verify any of this mind you.

Well I can't find any evidence online of this claim and I can usually turn stuff up and sort through it fairly efficiently.  And the pair of black pants I got is my current second-favorite pair. :)

Can't find anything on Snopes about it, plus or minus.  If there's not even a rumor for Snopes to claim is false, I wonder where my sister got that?

Some good books they had at the local Goodwill.  And a lot of junk, I bought one I threw away.

same here! they are all my friends, I go in there and they all know me by name and I have a good time and cut up with them..

I go there basicly because im a miser, and I hate wasting money.. and our GW has sales where all thier clothes sometimes are .50 cents --- last time I got a pair of brand new Kenneth Cole black dress pants still with the $expensive$ tags on them for .50cents!!! I think I shouted
