Did ya put it at the curb and post something in Craigs list?  They have freebies all the time. They call them "curb alert". Then you go find free stuff.

I hope you didn't throw good, usable stuff in the trash.

MelodyB

Nope. I have a huge box, two garbage bags full of clothes, and a bunch of other stuff that I will see if anyone wants, and if they dont, we will drop it off it the goodwill.

Ok so, I guess I need to update this thread some.

Sunday was my last day of services at my home church, and WOW...that was SOOO hard. I didnt think it would be that hard. They had me praise singing, and I also did two solos, one for each service. Sunday afternoon, we all went to a BBQ place called Smittys, and the youth that I normally sit with were all sad and said that next Sunday, they dont want anyone sitting in the place that I normally sit. (No matter where we go, I sit between Kyle and Alison, and across from Jessica and Jason.)  After the meal, Sis Yori came up and grabbed my ticket and wouldnt let me pay...that was good since I really didnt have the money to be spending anyway. LOL

Sunday night I was doing just fine...then it was time for me to sing. Pastor got up there and made a speech that wouldnt stop. All the other praise singers sat down, and I was standing there on the platform with Pastor, all by myself while he went on and on about how much of a blessing I have been and his approval to my new endeavor, and how much I will be missed. He ALMOST made me cry in front of everyone, but then he made a funny about "At least she isnt running off and getting married...yet" and I raised my hand, and shouted "Praise the Lord!" and made everyone laugh. LOL And I sang my last song. I actually think that song turned out better than any other time I have ever sang it. Im not bragging about that, I am just saying that there was something more there this time, and I cant exactly put it into words.

After church, we went to old faithful Applebees, and at the end of that meal, Kyle and Sis Arms argued over who would pay my check. They BOTH wanted to. :o I was thinking "Where were all these people a few weeks ago when I was SOOO broke?" LOL I thought it was quite humorous. Then I said goodbye to everyone and went back to Cindys. It was VERY odd.

Monday, I slept in, went to the apartment and did some more packing/cleaning, and then I headed over to my Brothers house to visit with the kiddos for one last time. Stayed there a couple of hours, and then I went to the Arms  house to say goodbye to them...we ended up talking for 4 hours, and then, at about 9ish, they asked me if they could take me out to dinner. So we went back to Applebees. We ha a WONDERFUL visit, and my only regret about making friends with these wonderful saints, is that I didnt do it sooner. I JUST in the past year started talking to them and hanging out with them, and I am really gonna miss them. :( I do already. It was really late when I got back to Cindys, and I went right to bed.

Tuesday morning, I went to the apartment and waited for my Daddy....he showed up about 10am, and we loaded the truck and headed to storage, after 4 trips, we got it ALLLLLL loaded, and there is not one more inch of space in there. We had to take out the stuff that Courtney and I packed in there and re-arrange. And I am very happy to say that we got it ALL in there, and I didnt have to get rid of the fish tank OR the dining room table and chairs. There was only one thing that I had to get rid of that I wanted to keep, and that was a tall cabinet with shelves that I have had in the kitchen with the microwave on it.

Then we took the seats out of the van and put them in storage too. But there is a story there. :bigcheese: My Dad came to Florida BROKE, and I mean broke. He didnt have any money, and was not going to have any till his check got deposited on Tuesday at midnight. So he didnt have any money till Wednesday, and I SURE didnt have any. I didnt know how I was gonna feed him on Tuesday. I had eaten a sandwich on Tuesday morning, and he ate before he left MS, but I didnt know what to do while he was in FL. So we were not worrying about that at the time, but we were working hard and loading this stuff up and getting stuff done. Well we finally had the last load all loaded in storage, and we went out to the van to take the seats out. (Dad is using the van to haul bodies, so he cant have the seats in there when he puts the caskets in) and so we started to take them out. I was on my knees in the back, and we were trying to get the third seat out from behind the drivers side when I saw something under it. It was black and I saw Spiderman. lol So I reached under the seat and pulled it out and discovered it was a small Spiderman wallet. I shoved it in my back pocket and didnt say anything to Dad. We got everything done, and I forgot about it. We got home, and Dad made a comment of how tired he was and he was getting hungry, and I remembered that wallet. I pulled it out, and I found $26.00 in cash in there. Nothing much else, a old McDonalds kids club card, and a name in it. No address or anything. So we counted it as a blessing, and went to Golden Corral for dinner. Haha...$26.00...and our bill? It was $25.85 :bigcheese:

Before we went to dinner, we dropped off a bunch of stuff at the goodwill, and then we went and I said goodbye to Granny (Sis Moms Mom)

After dinner, Dad went to visit some of his Fl friends, and I went back to Cindys...the house was empty and I realized that everyone was at the hospital cause Jonathans wife was having the baby. So I went up there and stayed toll 10, and she had the baby at 9. I went back to the house, and Jonathan called and said that he wanted me to come over in the morning before I left so I could see the baby before I left. So on Wednesday, I got up at 5:30, saw the kids off to school at 6, and by 7, I was at the hospital holding Aliyah Morgan :bigcheese: :bigcheese:  Then at 8, I went BACK to the apartment and we loaded the last of the stuff in the truck and the van and by 9 we were on the road.

At noon, we stopped in Pensacola and I got to see the P'cola Girls!! We had lunch at Whataburger, and then we came on to MS.

I was in MS for only 6 hours, and I texted Mom and Justin and told them that I had already been to dinner at the Pastors house, TWO church functions, and Wal-mart TWICE :o I got here and right now is pretty much the first time I have not had anything to do especially. As SOON as I got here they had me involved with EVERYTHING. Yesterday I helped decorate the fellowship all all day, and then helped with childrens church and the big party they had for the kids last night. That was GREAT! Then I sat in the foyer till 10 last night with the young adults and we sat around bluetoothing each other ringtones. Haha.

My phone is actually cut off right now. They turned it off yesterday, and until I get some money, it will be turned off. Im fixing to e-mail some folks on EA the number of the phone I am using right now. Its my Dads body hauling business phone, so when I answer, I can say "B & B Mortuary, you stab em' we slab em' " BOL I am sooooo serious. Hehe.

So anyway...thats my update....Dad set up the motorhome last night, and got his stuff out of it, so in awhile when I get ready, I am going out there and unload my stuff and set it up in there. So by tonight, I will have my own place, and not be on this couch in my parents livingroom.

Wow...  Mel, I actualy started to get a tear or two forming in my eye while I was reading the beginning of that post.

**HUGS**

I know only too well what it is like to leave on such an endeavor where you feel like you're doing what God wants you to do, but leaving things/people behind is TERRIBLY difficult!

What is funny, Dina...everyone thinks I am joking, but my Dad really and truly has a Mortuary service. That van I am driving...he is really gonna haul bodies in there.

Ok so this is the storage unit with all my stuff in it....this was BEFORE we put the rest of the chairs in and the van seats, and a few more boxes. :o

At the hospital on Tuesday night...waiting for Aliyah to be born...this was a huge bear outside of the labor room, and a course, Courtney.

This is Brother Ethridge (Jonathan and Sissys Pastor)....he was trying to hear when the baby came, but he wasnt hearing anything at all....

Then a nurse gave him a stethascope...

Josh Ethridge was trying to hear from the other wall....

FINALLY!!! Baby is here!!

This was the next morning when I went to see her!!

On the way to MS, we stopped at Whataburger, this was my Dad eating with my friends kids. (Thats Jonas, Lorissa's son in the back. He was drawing for my Dad)

We didnt have enough chairs at lunch so Lorissa had to use one from the bar table, and so here she is "High and Lifted up" ;)

This was our lunch gang. Jo, Rissa, Me and Jonas, and Val and Jace.
